  1. I should add that my original source was ToyArk, somehow I missed adding the link the second time I posted. Although there are more & better photos from FBTB, they do have a pic of Story Mixer (stamped confidential and with a sign banning photography - naughty naughty).
  2. So then can't eagles pick up minifigs by their hands? Wouldn't be the same I know, but it's something.
  3. I highly doubt that they will be released in May for June when we've just been told August. Especially if we've also been told that the new LOTR sets are being released in June. Expect to start seeing THEM appear in May, but these sets? Not likely.
  4. For me, I like to have a fleet of ships, or ground vehicles. Simple example: SPII (because there were only 5 sets) - capital ship Galactic Mediator + 2 medium ships Rebel Hunter + 4 small ships Galactic Chief, 2 large vehicles Solar Snooper + 4 small vehicles Sonar Security. Put them all together it looks really cool, especially when the colour scheme is the same. It's also a bit more realistic than just one of each. Take a look at any army from any era, you may have 1 of a few things, but multiples of everything else. But, money...
  5. Then buy accurate scale models aimed at a more mature audience instead of plastic toys made for children. We've gotta concede that we aren't going to get it how we want.
  6. Click here for larger photos of all 4 new games (plus some old ones) from NY Toy Fair. As I'm typing this more pics have appeared on FBTBs Flickr. I'll certainly be grabbing LOTR, Chima & Batman. Parts & microfigs look great, I haven't even considered gameplay yet... 50003 Batman: 257 pieces, age 6+, 2-4 players, 15-25 minutes, $29.99 US, August 50004 Story Mixer: age 7+, 3-5 players, 20-30 minutes (no other info known) 50006 Legends Of Chima (A Tribal Battle Game To Collect Chi): 211 pieces, age 7+, 2-3 players, 10-20 minutes, $19.99 US, August 50011 The Lord Of The Rings - The Battle Of Helm's (Deep): 338 pieces, age 8+, 2/4 players, 15-35 minutes, $29.99 US, August (FBTB has $34.99 as the price in their set, but the card in the image states $29.99)
  7. Damn it, thought my first post didn't work. Well the second one was better anyway.
  8. I understand this "officially" belongs in the other themes subforum, but it interests many of those who may only read this topic: Helm's Deep board game large Toy Fair pics from Toy Ark) http://cdn.toyark.com/news/attach/6/9/toyfairlego-264_1360507105.jpg http://cdn.toyark.com/news/attach/6/9/toyfairlego-265_1360507105.jpg $30 US, ($50 AU I'd imagine, same as Hobbit, Hogwarts & SW) Can't pass this up! (Nor the Batman or Chima games for that matter...)
  9. I'll stick with 1 of the dragon set, 2 each of the others probably. Maybe only one of the carriage set. Gonna be an expensive 2nd half of the year...
  10. 4 sets are a given... and a few more minifigs to BL... Gotta get the one with the "Isengard Mandos" and the one with Jek-14, "Iron Man" (Separatist Bounty Hunter) & Special Forces Trooper - freaking cool ship. Black & red is where it's at!
  11. 5. Duh-Nuh - madLEGOman - 1 16. Froghead - Yatkuu - 1 36. The Source of All Ants - Ryclen - 1 37. rEvolution - zane_houston - 1 40. Dinosaur extinction? - Cecilie - 1
  12. 6. Ice Planet Colony - Dark_Alamez - 1 28. Ice Planet - Crystal Station - Siercon and Coral - 1 41.Deployment Island - commanderhawk - 1 48. Ace Trucking - Kaliphlin in Space - robuko - 1 83. Dark Shadows Over The Colony - Mr.Brickman - 1
  13. 4 visible stickers on the model, 3 on the front left tower, at least 1 on the back right tower. And I like the amount of blue, although not realistic by any stretch, it works when displaying factions against each other. If you don't like it, replace it with the appropriate colours. I intend to pick up 2 or more and replace the blue of one with dark green, and put my Kingdoms guys in there.
  14. 19. ROOK - 1 (cheating really, but touche!) 35. aemil - 1 41. legoalbert - 1 43. Hammerstein NWC - 1 55. Dufresne - 1
  15. He did say "there is a slight possibility that those sets that are featured on that back wall are going to be real sets" But I can understand people getting annoyed at all the other posters adamant that we will definitely be getting an ewok village (cough cough Kashyyyk) set etc because it's in the photo. I read the LOTR & SW topics and this keeps coming up again & again in both. Guess what?!!11!!? I just found a photo that confirms we will be getting the brick separator in a NEW COLOUR!1! OMGFL!
  16. I think whoever did it was using Xbox, I'm not sure, I have the PC version so there might be a few "press X" or achievements that don't equate to other versions.
  17. By searching on google I found a site that had full lists of locations & tips for finding everything. Characters, mithril designs, mithril bricks, treasure chests, treasure items, quests... http://www.bonefishgamer.com/tag/lord-of-the-rings/
  18. Days Of Our Lives... I don't think Obi Wan went against the council, he just wasn't allowed to have any support of troops etc, so it wasn't a Republic thing or official mission/business. A bit like going to buy some Lego during your lunch hour perhaps, not a trip you can claim travel expenses for...
  19. Actually, same with Arcanis I. He was never into the tights though, he was a real man, just not a cool one at the time.
  20. Certainly the majority of those that wield any power are human. There are many orcs, beasts and such that work under those of us represented in this topic. I think humans may make up the largest race represented, but of course there are many drow, orcs, dwarves, werewolves, undead and various monsters, some more humanoid than others. And yes, there are many nosy Avalonians that need to be eradicated from Nocturnus. Hmmm... did anyone hear something? No? Neither did I. I will send one of my weak stunted freaks with only one limb and no eyes or ears to laugh your massive beast into oblivion. Or perhaps a dragon to toast it for an upcoming feast. And what's this? Avaloniettes trash-talking upstanding Kaliphlin citizens in the Nocturnus conference room?
  21. Maybe I did skim over that. I suppose if it's USD, $149 would be quite impressive. Had it in my head AUD - which would only be as big as the goblin town set.
  22. In 2010, I don't remember which month the collectable minifigs came out, but I believe it was after that last lot of impulse sets. I don't think there have been any since, in any theme. I refer to small boxed sets. Polybags are very limited in availability, and we pretty much never get them here, but those small boxed sets often turned up.
  23. News to me. Set confirmed, yes, minifigs (we don't even know if there will be any) confirmed, no, price confirmed, not to my knowledge, height confirmed, yes.
  24. You know what? I don't remember there being ANY impulse sets at all since CMF have been released, I think for that very reason.
  25. Yes I forgot about that Looks very likely.
