  1. Imagine opening up a 10179 for the first time to find the mast pieces missing... This would be the kind of luck I have.
  2. Best thing on the internet today!
  3. It cant be Lego because they didnt use a windscreen sticker
  4. That part of the build was straight forward with little room for mistakes. Are you speaking of steering issues or the tracks moving freely? The only issue that I encountered was the tracks jumping off the wheels...
  5. I could not find it listed anywhere. It does not look like Lego to me...
  6. I had them displayed around the home. Some on book shelves, others on coffee tables, etc... Just no place that they were 5 year old boy proof!!! Dust is not a problem since we had the home AC fitted with electrostatic filtration for my daughters astma years ago. My goal is to eventually have a workshop built for all of my hobbies but that is more than a few years down the road.
  7. *sigh* I told myself that I would no longer participate in MF speculation... But who am I kidding, I cant resist!!! I would like to see them use the 10179 as a base and bring the part count closer to 6k by adding some type of interior. We would probably see a differant dish and possibly a moulded windscreen. Would also love to see them use the gray mast and gray antennas again. I also think that if they do another UCS MF it wil come it at around $599... All of this is pure speculation though...
  8. Holy Mos Eisley!!! Approved for production, I will send a memo. (if only it was that easy)
  9. Good flouresent lighting is your friend in these casses of poor color reproduction. I have not laid hands on this yet but the dark grey background as RM noted cannot help matters...
  10. Fantastic!
  11. Thanks for the complients. I had planned for this to be a temporary thing but I really think I like having them in the bedroom. The only problem is that it's going to be awkward bringing friends into the bedroom to look at Lego (Door left open on that statement)... For reference the wall is 11'6" (3.5m) wide. You can also see the relative size of the different sets. Something that I had never really noticed until I had them all together was that Gen Grievous was almost as tall as the Imperial Shuttle...
  12. We have some family moving in with us due to a fire so I had to move my Lego into the bedroom. I was able to find these shelving kits at the box store and I found them to be very suitable for displaying Lego. The brand is Rubbermaid but I believe there are other brands out there. The cost is moderate but since these can be used for other puposes I look at them as an investment. My sets are usually displayed around the home but since I have a young nephew moving in I thought it was a good idea to relocate them. I also did not want to explain to him why he has to share his toys but I don’t! On a side note I now wake up in the morning to General Grievous looking down at me so that’s a bit creepy…
  13. 42000 is my favorite but the blue on the 8461 is very appealing to me.
  14. SW for Duplo would be very fun!
  15. I think that the designer simply liked the blue over the orange... It looks nice to me.
  16. The figs in this set are amazing. I get worried when sets like this come along because I end up buying them for the figs. If I keep this up I will accidently become a minifig collector...
  17. Having recently purchased the 7191 I am now torn as to my favorite set. I only bring it up because of the poll question, but they both have high points to them. I have to give it to the 10240 simply because of the wing mechanics...
  18. When I see builds like this I start to question why I put so much into UCS sets!
  19. Another thread to follow for instructions!!!
  20. Thank you, I was also looking for these!
