  1. I am probably in the minority but I think that, with exception to some proportions, the Y-Wing is one of the best sets out there. I can think of better sets to rehash or even better how bout an A-Wing...
  2. Obviously it is amazing what you have done. I really enjoy the colored rectangles for the comparison pic, its always neat when people can illustrate their design process.
  3. I really enjoy the series. I did not like paying the premium to get the last sets but life goes on. Has anyone posted their unique displays for them?
  4. UCS- 1. Blockade Runner 2. Y-Wing 3. Snowspeeder 4. R2 5. All the rest - Except the MF, I thought it was over priced... Stupid me
  5. Imagine if TLG had allowed us to design this set, it would come out of the design phase sometime in 2025
  6. SW fan tag please!!!
  7. I predict that this set will inspire a lot of MODS by people who wouldn't normally attempt a it. I believe that the straight forward construction along with seemingly plenty of avenues to route parts will be less intimidating than say fully automating the 8043. I didn't immediately like this set but I am finding new things I like :)
  8. I knew the three generator disc's looked familiar!!!
  9. TLG has little concern for out feelings, the lack of printed parts in UCS sets shows that.
  10. Agreed... Now I can shift funds to the bucket wheel excavator!!!
  11. Its almost like they are trying to underwhelm with this set. Maybe they are attempting to lower our expectations so that the next UCS seems better. Honestly I think the only thing worse than this set would have been a new UCS MF with 50 less pieces than the original...
  12. Love it!
  13. Thank you I had been looking for that thread a while back!
  14. I do not collect figures but if I did that is what I would wish to have.
  15. I took over the extra room... And some Technic to round things off...
  16. Build it because it is one of the most enjoyable builds IMO. The Arocs is also entertaining but in a different way. You can hold on to it for resale if you want but silver might be a better investment now-a-days since brickvesting is no longer a big secret... The crawler crane is neat but underwhelming. The Volvo loader is also a great build to consider...
  17. I was initially put off by the single motor and what seems will be manual LA's on a set that might cost north of $250. But then I remembered this is almost 4000 pieces. Given what we paid for the Volvo loader with a lot less parts, this is a probably going to end up being a good deal.
  18. its just a poor candidate for ideas. When the At-AT did not garner the support of TLG it was a signal that they would likely never consider such a massive set. This is an amazing MOC...
  19. Here you go... The TIE is bigger than you think if you were thinking of getting it...
  20. ..... I am going to throw a guess out and say that we will see a new ISD for the 40th. It has to be something with a large piece count. Outside chance of an AT-AT.
  21. Agree that you will not see that same Fett in a less costly set.
  22. Sorry to bump an old post but I wanted to try inserting these pics from Imgur... As well as show my new shelves now that I got my room back! Also got a Technic itch...
  23. I recently tried to function my MKII and noticed a significant reduction in the speed of the functions. I initially thought this was due to weak batteries but it continued after new ones. Has anyone else had these issues?
