    Why not flying? The model is nice, and clearly a lot of work went into it. Very nice details on turret's front. As a tank maniac, I have some remarks, though: - the muzzle brake seems a little small - the hull seems too long, perhaps because of the road wheels being spaced too far apart. In real tank, one wheel's axle almost touches the adjacent wheel's rim. - the lower front hull would look better tilted and set a little deeper between the tracks - I'm under impression the tracks are too narrow, but perhaps you have chosen scale that simply doesn't have any properly sized ready-made tracks to use with

    Hummer's gearbox - so dead simple, it needs no instructions. The only things to remember is that you slide the entire gearbox (e.g. with a small LA) while the chassis, input and output remain fixed. You can also swap input for output, and whatever piece you put between the lower pair of gears acts only as a spacer. I would not recommend a bush as a spacer, as it will add friction when shifting the gearbox. Angle connector works fine, provided you attach it to the frame, because you don't want it rotating and hitting the gears above it.

    A lovely model, and beautifully rendered. Even though I don't see many (or any) lawn tractors where I live, this is instantly recognizable.

    Update: seems like the model was driven by two XLs, not four, for at least part of the video. I'm halfway through disassembly, and I found that one 16t gear coupling two motors with another two is gone, together with the axle it was sitting on. There's no trace left and I can't find these two pieces anywhere else in the model. What the hell?

    Look, if you're so sure, then start building something. I see you only commenting so far. If Lego flight was possible, it would be done already, as many talented people attempted it. Blakbird was kind enough to give you solid mathematical proofs that Lego won't fly. You can argue with us, but you can't argue with laws of physics. Lastly, the "only the spark plug wouldn''t be lego, and the balloon casing, and the fuel" ideas miss the entire point. It's not a Lego flying apparatus if non-Lego elements are essential for it to work. If I put a Lego brick on my hamster, does it become a Lego hamster?

    I beg to differ. A plane can fall on you from a serious height, and hit you e.g. in the eye. I think it's hard to even compare it to a car that can at best scratch your shoe. Not to mention that the plane would be probably destroyed.

    And you would have to seriously mod the chassis for them, too. The PP tires are much wider, you would need to widen both axles to prevent tires from rubbing against the body. Then there are mudguards. Then there is torque - PP tires are great torue eaters.

    Tens of folks have tried it time and time again. That's how we know pure LEGO won't fly. Sorry to sound negative, but there's new topic like this every month, and it always ends up exactly the same way. Zblj did awesome research on Lego flight, check it out.

    Thanks, it took some work, including one day when I stayed up till 5 AM. Still, I think most of the credit goes to the hamsters ;)

    Thank you. To me, the building experience felt too much like "beams, beams, beams, and then some beams on top of these beams". Plus, the rear axle assembly oscillates freely every time you pick up the chassis, which quickly becomes annoying.
