  1. That's tempting, but I don't have any lying around, and I prefer bass anyway.
  2. Just a rough idea based on the "program card" concept from the 8888 Technic Idea Book: Photos & reading: http://sariel.pl/2013/12/programmable-drummer/
  3. The photos and description are here, as promised: http://sariel.pl/2013/12/minigun/
  4. Hi. I don't have that many pieces actually, probably well under 100,000. I don't have many sets either since I rarely buy any, I mostly shop for individual pieces - probably no more than 40, maybe 50. Yes, most of these come from Bricklink. I'm not really a collector, I simply buy the pieces I need for some project, and only as few as possible (since more pieces = complicated storage). I know there's a lot of people out there with collections easily 10 times the size of mine, and some of them don't even bother with MOCs. I recall seeing some SW fan who owned over a hundred sets and just kept them around assembled, even several assembled copies of the same set. Especially in US there are AFOLs with hefty budgets and a market with cheap sets - like the Seattle folks who have built 200,000-pieces Rivendell or 400,000-pieces Hogwarts. That means a single project several times larger than my entire collection - I could never afford it in my whole life.
  5. If I was lazy, this video would end in 2 minutes without showing how a single piece works. It goes straight to full speed, as you can see at 3:29. But you can slow it down with the knob at its side if you wish,
  6. When they come for your hamsters, you may want one of these: Pics and description are coming to my website shortly. I believe the gun can be recreated from the video alone if you try hard enough.
  7. It's a Lego/PC room with a bed :) It's a small apartment and there's a single large room, with hamsters sitting in the kitchen. All their lives are about food, so it actually makes sense ;)
  8. Well, compared to some of the folks here who have whole garages at their diposal...
  9. My working place is rather tiny, but now you can visit it on the video:
  10. Every motor is compatible with PF thanks to this little item available since 2007: http://shop.lego.com...nsion-Wire-8886 However, the RC motors' particularly large power consumption means they won't run at full power off the PF power supplies.
  11. You won't get that kind of performance out of the existing PF motors.
  12. Yup, the CVT truck is Nico's.
  13. I'm refreshing the topic to bring you the building instruction for the truck's chassis: HERE.
  14. I've done something like that long time ago, but it's definitely not the best thing you can build:
  15. I don't think the 8421's suspension arms have any quality issues, and if you have doubts, I have used them in the front suspension here:
  16. I'm not sure if video reviews are acceptable to post here, and how - apologies in advance - so I figured I'll put them all in a single topic, so as not to spam the forums with video-only kind of content. I simply don't have enough time on my hands to write reviews, but the videos are thorough and include plenty of details, so I think you don't want to miss them. Any suggestions on how to make this topic better are welcome. The videos are also available as a YouTube playlist: And here we go: 42025 Cargo Plane 42021 Snowmobile 42022 Hot Rod 42023 Construction Crew 42024 Container Truck And two more: 42026 Black Champion Racer 42027 Desert Racer
  17. A hamster brought them ;) Look at the weather - it explains everything.
  18. It's just as ugly as it is fast and agile: A description and a building instruction for the chassis will be coming to my website in December. Can't do it any sooner, as the front suspension makes use of "not yet existing" pieces.
  19. There is an instruction for this type of mechanism on my website: On another note, the topic title like this feel kinda messy. People come here expecting to see a MOC, and instead they see a question how to make one.
  20. Of course not, it was slowed down by large pitch. The batteries were fresh every time, you don't kill Eneloop batteries that easily.
  21. OK, to clear out any confusion I made a simple comparison between thrust you can get from regular LEGO run at 9V, and between what AR 2 Parrot drone does:
  22. Yeah, I was curious how effective these blades can be. They seem to be the most realistic of all Lego blades so far.
  23. Just to remind you, we've had all this discussion on flying with Lego before: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77519
