  1. With the arrival of the 76023 set we are sure to see some nice, accurate and great-looking models of the Batpod soon, I have no doubts about it. So I just wanted to make one that works: Pics and reading: http://sariel.pl/2014/08/batpod/ Now I have no idea what else to do with these tires ;)
  2. I'm not sure how to check that. Oh, I also had a tiny button switch between the battery and the motor.
  3. I have used something very similar with a single PF M motor. After running for an extended period of time, the motor started slowing down and smelling funny - any idea why?
  4. I'm afraid not. Seems pretty good. The tread is fairly deep.
  5. Maybe you could upscale the model a little bit and use these wheels then. They're 4.6 studs big, should look really accurate for this last version you've shown in the post above and hold the track better than expected: http://www.bricklink....asp?P=56145c03
  6. I think both your suspension solutions, clever as they are, make the road wheels spaced too far apart. Originally the gap between two wheels seems small or equal to a single wheel's diameter. But that's just me.
  7. It's just my impression, but the Brickstuff sets seem larger and much, much more expensive.
  8. Climbing/mountaneering MTB (bought my first bike in 9 years this year) Playing bass Gaming, of course, RPGs especially
  9. I've been curious about these bad boys for a while, and finally got around to buying and testing a few kits. Now, considering that LEGO has done literally nothing in the lighting area since 2008, I intend to use these in my future creations (and if you're going "Heretic! Persecute him!", at least do that in Monty Python voice ;) ).
  10. Congratulations, what an awesome achievement :)
  11. You will also be able to see all this stuff:
  12. I'm pretty sure the result depends on the power supply, not on the SBrick. In any case, the SmartBrick website and Kickstarter page have detailed info on current limitations and such.
  13. Here's my video test of the very promising SmartBrick. I know that a number of other folks are testing their SmartBricks at the moment too, so it occurred to me that perhaps we could share our tests in this separate thread.
  14. Lovely! I like how simple yet accurate it is.
  15. I'm surprised with all this cables talk. When PF elements with permanently attached cables were first introduced, people were like "silly idea, wires have limited length, will get damaged, will require replacing the whole part etc., etc.". Now SBrick is free of any of these risks, and people are like "silly idea, I will need to spend $8 on a cable". Guess there's no pleasing everyone.
  16. No, instead I made the front sprocket sit on a beam which is slightly bent downwards. Stronger and simpler at the cost of working range.
  17. Yes, zero damage to any part of the model. Except that tracks got dirty and more scratched, as usual :)
  18. Photos and reading: http://sariel.pl/2014/07/ripsaw-xl/ It was fun to drive it, but the LEGO RC equipment really sucks in hot weather.
  19. I prefer A, but it would be way better without that jerky steering. The B would be quite cool - we don't have many Technic haulers to choose from - if the cargo hold was more functional.
