Great, thanks for posting the link, an interesting read, nothing really new but nice to see TLG reaction. But with regards to colors, as quoted in the article "As one 4th grader put it, “Lego Friends has tooooo much pink and purple”.", my 3rd grade daughter actually wanted to see more pink and purple during our recent visit to our local PAB wall, so the bottom line is that there will always be some group of users wanting something different.

[MOC] Ghostbusters 1959 Black Cadillac Miller-Meteor
JGW3000 replied to marcosbessa's topic in LEGO Licensed
Awesome, immediately comes to mind the classic Springsteen song "Cadillac Ranch" ... Cadillac, Cadillac, long shiny and black... and the days when my grandfather would buy a new Caddy every year- 11 replies

Since this contest in the Technic forum, I am assuming the model should contain at least one Technic part?

I heard the following news blip on NPR on the way into work, that TLG will be releasing a "Research Scientist Female Minifigure Set". Seems they nailed this one, first time I have heard about any upcoming LEGO set making the NPR hourly news brief.

I guess using white colored text is not a good idea -
The ridiculous steering wheel is almost ruining it for me, an obvious MOD once I decide to get one. Does anyone know what significance the license plate number R682 AHS has?

Great review, the size of the thing is scary - must of us will need to buy a new larger shelf just to display it! Not sure if I am ready to shell out US$250, though. Also, how well was the bucket packed? Any chance these might get damaged in shipment?

I had the same experience with the Mars Rover 21104. I wanted to buy one at $30.00, I will never buy one at $60.00 or more.. And now there are at least three resellers on BrickLink selling them for $70-$118, each with 10 or more copies. It is this type of speculative behavior that ruins it for the rest of us. Do I now have to stay awake until midnight, May 31st, just to get one copy of the Ghostbusters car?

If you really like your friend, a modest set. Otherwise, Millenium Falcon new/sealed all the way!

From the Westfarms Mall Lego store in West Hartford, Connecticut, the day after they opened, two weeks ago. Sorry for the poor choice of backgrounds, had to move quick as the kids wanted to get building ASAP. Each child got a small cup; regretfully, I didn't get anything.

Even the official LEGO stores near me have the four smaller sets, although not listed on the S@H website. I talked to a LEGO customer service person, and he said they are not told anything, so he didn't have any further information. At this point, nothing left to do but sit tight and wait (and go to TRU every other day hoping a 42025 will magically appear)

Effe's MOC Corner
JGW3000 replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Efferman - nice compact design, but please explain what the Servo motor is doing, I don't see how it is connected to any output??? thanks I think I get it, but won't the torque tear apart the red axle 2 inserted into the Servo motor output? -
My cats like to take small bits of debris, scraps of paper, small toys and stash them in the basement, I found several smaller Technic parts (bushing, pins, connectors) in their stash. Must be some sort of nocturnal ritual for them.

Fast Alternative to Bevel in LDD2POV

But, could be a quick way to make pdf instructions, as you can see how many of the internal parts are connected -
Your Best Technic Bargains
JGW3000 replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Not to rub it in, but I got the last 8110, at the our local TRU, for $200 this past week. -
West Hartford is open, hit the pick a brick wall there last weekend. The grand opening is in June

If I rotate my display monitor 90 degrees, to portrait orientation, then I can see the entire palette, but this is not an option for many people, and it is a real PITA to work in portrait mode. A simple fix, for the LDD development team, would be to have an option to turn off or display separately the legacy colors, or reverse the order in which the color categories are displayed.

I noticed I am now in 7272 position in the leaderboard, with 0 clutch power . Seriously, how does this impact voting - I am assuming that there are more than 10,000 members in Ideas, but how many more. For some worthy projects to make it to review, how many members are needed? If 20 % vote for a project, then 50,000 are needed. TLG needs to start actively promoting the site. For starters, add an Ideas sub-site to the main LEGO.com products page, with a redirect to the Ideas site, and change Cuusoo theme to Ideas on the S&H site already
