Huge let down. So much potential since thus is meant to be last wave of Hobbit series and "epic" conclusion to dwarven journey. What are THESE? + Witch King Elrond Dain (his helmet) Armoured Thorin Possibly armored Bard (in BOFA set?) Orc´s hairpieces - Design of sets (all of them) lack of new characters we desperately need (Bolg, Beorn in bear form, Thranduil in armour, war Ram/Pig...) lack of soldiers (is that the great battle of five armies? Thats a battle of five characters most likely...) Usseles things like Legolas Greenleaf, recycled old Mordor orcs It seems that TLG did not their best with those sets, maybe because they want to finish that and throw it behind their bag. So that could indicate that Middle earth is done. Maybe there will be some Exclusive set on spring/summer 2015 but I have not so big hope in that as I had a while ago. Big let down, I am truly dissapointed. I will buy them all, but it will be only Smaug set that I keep assembled and mod it little bit. Resto of those crabs will be used to create something proper. Howk!

So that means if TLC put elves in Dale set there will be new elven helmet mold. Thumbs up. Shame that there is only 4 sets zo come in this final.wave... According to that new teaser trailer for BoFA it deserves at least twice more sets with armybuilders, and add ons to Dale and Erebor.

Since this depict events form the third movie you are unable to see where Dwalins found it, so do I. So there is no answer to yopur question until december 13th.

I was thinking about the new upcoming set "The Lonely Mountain" and on a second thought its not so bad. Its little bit pricey, yes, 130 dollars is not good price for 860 pcs and 5 figs + creature, but... Smaug is really good molded dragon, flexible, and not as childish as many critics says. I actually love him as he is. Maybe the colour could be darker, but we will see after the set will be released. Bilbo is really nice even without mithril vest. The rest of the figures are quite oka, altough I prefere other dwarves (still miss Oin a Gloin). The structure itself is full of prefab rocks but it is quite nice design idea, so it could be really easily moded and expanded. I already have plans how to expand the throne section so therefore it will be more accurate to the movie, and also the mining section. Its really easy to make it bigger with more tunnels and chambers. But its true that it will hurts nobody if TLC put some golden bars and coin in the set, there is nothing like that even that those pearl gold bricks are nice. So I am looking forvard to dale and lake town set.

And no single lego coin ...bummer. I dont understand, is it so hard to put there at least 40 - 80 coins????

IMHO this is biglet down in comparasion to the other great sets. Even the small set of Laketown, tiny Council of Elrond, or other sets like Bag End, Wheathertop and so on, are maded with a high details and acuracy. But this is just bunchof bricks, nice bricks but that doesent means that this price 130 ucks is ok. It is true that for the first time I didn like Laketown Chase set, but this is complete disapointment. I like Smaugs head. But as I afraid, the neck is tiny, the body is fat, nad legs... minifigs are great I expect great printings but only 5 of them? I expect at least 7-8 minifigs not this. 1. Why is the throne conected with mines? 2. Why the set loke like so incomplete? 3. WHY they give Balin trans green axe???? I will buy it when the set will be in discount but only because I want to have my colection complete. Big let down.

Is it a trans-white ring as arkenstone? With some blue in in the circle...

Really nice ship but too thin on the top deck and the riging is just... not enough. Recomend you to do it properly becouse the ship will be way to nicer :)

I think that if there will be some big D2C set it would be Rivendell, because it is iconic for both themes LOTR and Hobbit. There could be Elrond and Arwen from the previous set, and also TLC can add/reuse some Elven Knights in their iconic armour with helemts, if they add them already to Dale´s set from BOFA wave. As a special guest there could be Lindir minifig or old Bilbo :) Just main building with the painting of Sauron, library, and council room, maybe waterfall and trees with those orange, dark red and olive green leaves..just idea. Erebor is more like bunch of grey and green nothing special, and Dale...aproximately 2500 bricks is not much to represent a ruined city properly. Beorn´s house is not much for D2C even if they include his garden with those animals he has... Maybe Dol Guldur or Thranduils hall... but i prefere Rivendell :)

Hi guys, just wanna share one of my ideas to create some add on to the current lake town set (i had many of them but they are containing a huge number of pieces, and I like to create something what can actually fits to that set) So just prelims, but I accept your suggestions. If anyone have some good idea for creating some other buildings to lake town (in the set size) I will be glad to hear them :)

Hom many bricks did u used? And can you provide some instructions for build? Maybe someone turn her into real brickbuild gigant :)

As I said before, "big" ship can contain around 900pieces which takes around 100-130 bucks depending on if its form licenced theme or not. So this is quite acceptable for majority of custoemers I think. After all you dont buy thhose sets every day dont you? Ships like Carribean Clipper, or old Sea Lion, are history (those sets contains arround 400pcs) and fitiing into definition of "small ship". Large ship doesent means some huge colossus like IFS - anyway it was an exclusive set, not regular one. So ship with 3 mid sections are quite what I personaly want :) And not everybody has plenty of hull pieces, and other pieces for mocing their own ship and hnestly I am a kind of gy who likes original sets assembled so thats why i am not a mocer. I wish I would, but I have no heart to take a part my beloved sets :D

Too many minifigs in thosr dream sets and Gothmog aka evil charactrr slash orc general in army builder? What will u do with 10x Gothmogs ? ;) Anyway sounds nice.but IF there will be some more sets which I hope for, it will be decent like wawe 2 I thing. I would like to have line scheme like wawe one, woth flagship like big fortress - that could be Osgiliath ( 130 bucks set with 8 minigigs - 2x gondorian knight, 1x ranger, Faramir, Nazgul, Gothmog and 2x orc.) then some battlepack with Osgiliath add on ( 1x knight, 1x ranger and 3 orcs with small boat and ruins) and then maybe Mount doom( small set with Frodo, Sam, Goll and Sauron) gate of Minas Morgul with Witch King and some.orcs, Treebeard with Merry and Pipin and maybe Lothlorien scene? The missing things we need could be in 4 sets like wave two and as DLC there could be Minas Tirith or Grey Heavens with old Bilbo, Gandalf, Celeborn, Cirdan the shipbuilder, Galadriel and Elrond...

Minas Tirith (but sadly I cannot effort 400bucks set, anyway if there will be such a set I wll sell my wife to have it :D )

The insult is not taken, so there is nothing to feel sorry about. I understand, and trust me its not easy to buy some large sets even if I have no kids yet. But I dont live on my own either, and I understand you that its really hard to keep the flat, and take care about your familly members. I have a dog, cat and wife and for now its really enough :) For example I miss the opportunity to buy IFS, and now I cannot afford it, cause its too expensive. Almost double. And as a huge fan of LOTR I am afraid that same thing happends with Orthanc Tower, cause its almost a yer in a stocks, and its exclusive DLC set so it will be gone after summer I fear. .. Fut never the less I am still hoping for some 120-130 bucks frigate :) Old times are gone, these sets contains much more pieces, form example in 1 Black Pearl u ave 3 Carribean Clippers :) Crazy! Not saying IFS...there is BSB, Carribean Clipper, Armada Flagship, and Imperial Sea lion....so 4 in one... I thing that the reason is that there is more attention to details (furniture, stern, etc) and also the pats are smaller (take the masts - in golden age of pirate teme there was 2-3 big pieces for mast, then another 4-5 pieces for sails and rigging. Now u have all this Lego technic pieces, and mast are almost brickbuilt... Maybe that is the reason of those high prices... And then the main reason that there is no pirates for 5 years and thats a HUGE SHAME! :)

I dont have those money either, but its not a problem.to save some.money if you want something. Lego is not cheap toy at all so this argument is not relevant...

I disagree with the statemant that smaller ships are "better" and more afortable than large one. We dont need to have larger ship than IFS but at least same sized vessel, with more realistic looking. These high placed cabins are good but only for pirate ships or galleons, not for military imperial ships like "Interceptor", HMS Providence and even Dauntless from POTC. And I think that its not really hard to make, BSB already simulate two decks as well and the set itself contains around 900 pcs, so it is possible to make ship like this with cabin placed low with backside balcony..etc. It could contain three-four cannons, and maybe some brickbuilt cannons on the place where the wheel is :) As crew they can add 3-4 sailors, 2 soldiers, admiral and officer. And we have 7-8 minifigs, large ship with 3 mid sections, 3-4 cannons+some brickbuilt ones, , nice cabin with furniture, and maybe there could be a new design for rawboat with two seats for guys with paddles (my dream is to maintain the blue/white/black or blue/tanblack or blue/yellow/black color scheme). All in all it could take around 130 bucks. as enemy there could be some pirate vessel with high placed cabin as BSB has, with two mid sections, and 2 cannons and 5-6 bad guys. Also i prefer more realistic colours, so it would be great to see more dark brown/white, reddish brown/black or even dark red or dark green colour scheme on pirate ship :)
