How so laddy? Almost every wood elf (silver Elf from Mirkwood) has a cloak with a cape, it doesent matter if he wears it or not. Those green rangers are from the movie, they have hoods for to look little bit different than the other fig with hair piece. So choose your words more wisely about non-movie figs :) Accept a 5-6 guardsmen there was only non armoured elves / rangers in DOS! In book they were an army..

How so?

I know what does it means, and I already saw DoS, but the word itself is kinda weird, I am fail to find it in any english vocabulary, that is the reason why I am askin´ u :)

It would, but I guess that there will be only one Smaug model in the wave, And I guess that HE will be included in the largest set and that would be Lake Town - otherwise it makes no sense at all :) If there would be two sets of four with Smaug, it will influence his rarity.

Nice Uruks set up, but those capes for Uruk Hai captains are kinda weird...orc with a cape? :)

Its kinda edgy...MT was in a shape of half circle...:) -
We dont need to have another verson of all company of Thorin Oakenshield. Recycled 13 minifigs will be a huge waste... Main Characters are Thorin Bilbo and possibly Fili and Killi and maybe Balin. We dont need the rest, becaouse we already have them (Why create new torso prints - armour? Dwarven beards covers it anyway :D ) So If Erebor set will be the largest one, I will be disapointed because it will depict only interior which is kinda useless. What I want is big Lake Town add on not some garbage like Mines of Moria :)

Its not about size but a final look. Helms deep set is really good recreation of the Rohan fortress from the movie, and its size is limited due to the amount of pieces and price point. Silouete is almost the same (accept the rocks etc) So Smaug should be definitelly like that.. Smaller but with accurate look as much as its possible. (wings/hands, and especially his head) nevermind LOTR, I will be pleased from the new Hobbit sets, and if its true and we will get another part of Laketown I will be happy forever after. Hope that the set will depict Town hall with the crossbow tower. And also we wil get glorified Galadriel fig, twilight Witch King/nazgul, and Elrond possibly in red armour, so it will be cheap way to create armoured elven knights (of course without helmet but anyway, better than nothing) And yes, there will be Erbeor (or part of it) but -i am afraid that it will be the secret dor part with the statue of the Dwarf, not the main gates..well we will see :) As for LOTR, there is stil chance, not this year but maybe another...wait for the last page of instrucions sheets :)

LEGO LotR - general discussion

True is in the middle of those two arguments guys. If you want to do some proper moc with a scene you need to get proper figs, but you can also create them, its only on your imagination and fantasy, and yes it depends on the current MOC theme :) -
Middle-Earth Madness - Lothlórien vs Prancing Pony [Week 5]
Blazej_Holen replied to Blakstone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Prancing Pony - we need some more medieval style houses in official sets. And this location is in both of trilogies (LOTR and Hobbit) Lothorien will be some kinda tree vith platform for 1-2 minifigs vith some foliage... Definitely Prancing Pony with Barliman Butterbur and some middle earth citizens :) -
The Black Gate of Mordor (expanded set)
Blazej_Holen replied to Karlson's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Weird extension, you create too large gate (doors), so I recomend you to use these wall pieces for walls on the other side of the watch towers, not as a gate. Basicly there is no invention on your post - sorry :) -
Sorry but minifigs good, design is really poor. Nice start, but its not IT. I will buy set like this only for minifigs, but 1000pcs set is not army builder, so I will buy max. 3 of them. This is not what I imagine. But I apreciate your try :)

May I ask you how much money you spent on all of those sets and add ons from BL? :) -
Yes, I understand that facts, but TLG can give us something more sophisticated like I said previous time.. instead of Two factions fighting each other for a treasure they can create a story about some random Named Duke or Sir from a small county which can be a part of this current castle kingdom. Then TLG can provide some more new heraldry prints in colors like green, brown, blue and red, etc., and give us some new storyline... There can be a medium sized strongold, or castle, focused on detail like audience room with throne, library, barracks, stables, then a proper watchtower with some crossbowmans, and some village, which can be used along with the current MMV and VMR. The other faction could be a different Lord as a vassal to the current king with his own men at arms, like regular pikeman, crosbowman, squires etc. Next sets may be focused on general population with some kind of outsiders like Robin hood/Forestmen. Also there should be some port, with a merchant ship, some medieval university and yes, then there could be some cave with dragon and heroic knight who want to rescue a princess... I can imagine that those new sets could be relased 1 wawe per 2 years, so there will be a plenty of scace to expand these basic plots in Castle theme as we know.

Future Castle sets - put your hopes and ideas here
Blazej_Holen replied to Alfadas's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think that those actual castle (Lion) knights are far more better than those fols from Kingdoms/fantasy era series (I mean those blue crownies)... These has good heraldry on their coats (the soldier with white and blue tunic, or those crossbowman with chainmail or scale mail with plate gorget) and has nice pieces of armours. Sure these lion emblems are boring and too childish and a bit repetitive. So many versions of Lion knights (Royal one, Leo´s knights, those red lions from Kingdoms, and now we have some more of them :D) Models of actual castle sets are boring as well. Nothing new. Childish prefab castle without proper throne room or any other barracs for soldiers, empty Gatehouse full of holes and almost without any sign of practical defense..and just ugly Dragon mountain wtih some really weird folks with weird armour :) I would like to see more realistic heraldry like a lion with two tails, falcon or even a english lion or french lily...new helmets (like the great helmet form kingdoms) and maybe some molds or printings like chain cape... Also some nice variation of plate armour, tower shields pavise, pikes etc.. These storylines about good knight vs evil knights are just boring and repetitive. So TLG should create a proper Castle (or some stronghold) set with Duke, or some lord and his men at arms Part of medievall village, such as Town hall, shop, bakery, armoury, barracks, proper tawern, jhouse of the lord or nobleman Proper medieval ship with one mast and big sail including about 3-4 soldiers and 2 civilians (lord and or princess) Small joust (on foot maybe) with square arena etc... more civilians Kind of Defense tower with 3-4 guards and maybe a cart with civilian as well Some bandits hideout (like wolfpack and or forestmen) ... this are just my wet dream... :( -
