Dont like the scale of the set. Maybe its a nice model, and it contains clearly some intersting building techniques and also its nicely designed, but the scale is really big let down along with price...

I love Lonely mountain, and thanks to God I ĺll manage to buy one from my friend from Lego store for decent price :)

I must say that there is something right in your opinion Bobbtom, but all in all, there is plenty of space for mocing your own Middle Earth army with pieces we currently have. I doesnet means that I dont want to see some of fthose figs TLG didnt create at least main characters from LOTR game, but anyway, if you dotn follow the movie strictly you can create your own soldiers, without buying multiple sets..Thanks to God for Brickling and CMF lines. :)

But What is your point? Because you´re wrong, if you think that LOTR and HOBBIT line are poorly designed. Almost every set is detailed, with many tiny brick pieces, and brings to customers really nice scaled down pictures of familiar places from movie. Not all of them are accurate, obviously, but thats not TLG´s fault, its just because Peter Jackson made some radical changes after set´s was made... All and all, sets are nice, and high prices are caused by license. And sorry if I dont follow your opinion, but Dol Guldur ambush is quite nice set, with two orcs and Beorn and kinda useful parts... Goblin King battle contains ove 800 pcs including 7 minifigs + 1 big Goblin King. Moria set have more than 700 pcs and contains 6 minifigs + cave troll + 2 sceletons, so whats your problem? with prices? Yes MM is kinda small and it has only 1 corner from the original Chamber of Mazarbul but it could be easily extended (just look at google - find Mine of Moria set mod/moc) and the structures in set are extremely detailed. Only thing I hate there are those stickers. But I can live with them as many guys here. Whe MM was released, it was assumed as one of the best LOTR sets, and still is.

In Fantasy Era and Knight Kingdom there were some of these sets like Medieval Market, Village Mill attack and Knights Joust... I think that more peasnats are welcome. Evil and Good factions are ok, but there should be something in the middle, liek forestmen and wolfpack in old classic castle series. I would like also Black Falcons and less Lion Knights since we got plenty of their rehashes. And some new colour scheme would be nice for them as well. I like dragon knights with green and yellow scheme... Lets se what TLG brings to us :)

I hope we get some more villagers and peasants along with some more houses (tavern, cottages, mills or even something like church or such) and also for some new reintroducing of elves and or dwarves with goblins and orcs.. Now TLG have all necessary molds for those pieces, so I hope for pretty good line :)

Those soldiers form the pictures look like bullets to me :D Original design from videogame is much more better but the effort is nice and I admire it. Nevertheless, original design is better.

I already took some pictures of my Eowyn so I will post them later when I get some time. :)

Rohan helmet in dark brown without printing is already available my friend :) I am lucky to have 2 of those. And possibly I can get another more.. I used them to moc my rohan soldiers, using a Hun warrior torso and shield :) Good Idea for Eowyn though :) There wont be any polybags for third Hobbit wave. Or at least no polybags bringing new figs, as they are not present at the back page on each manual form those new sets. Remember Lake Town soldier from 2nd wave? He was present in back page with references to serial number of the set... so sadly, this is the end.

But they required new molds. Helmet for Eowyn, Shields for Haradrim, New mold for Gothmog (head or some headpiece) ...

I would give A- (minus is only for dicontinuing Middle earth themes). Almost every set is good, and above all we have minifigs which are superb. Few yers backwards we could only dream about this. There are plenty of perfect sets: Helms deep Black Gate Weathertop Pirate Ship ambush Orthanc Council of Elrond Bag End Lonely Mountain Dol Guldur Lake Town Mines of Moria (stickers are evil) Gandalf Arrives Helms deep battlepack and some average sets like Goblin King Battle Mirkwood elf army Barrel escape Battle of the five armies Wizard battle Shelob etc. I dont understand why many of you guys hate Pirate Ship, its a great set, and argument that TLG could provide some Gondor instead of this is just riddiculous. For Gondor are necessary new molds (shield and helmets) and also I think that originally there was a pan for third wave... anyway the set itself is really good, nice choice to input army of dead, and also to give us nice shaped ship. Moanings about gondor are just funny now, I miss this faction as well, and also I am just unhappy that we didint get those figures like Eowyn, Faramirt and bla bla bla, but thats already over. Deal with it. And as many before post here on Eurobricks, there are many ways how to Moc Denethor, Gondor soldiers and others. Its not 100% perfect but pretty close (excluding helmets) and who knows, maybe some day... but I believe that this is the end of the line.

Well done, they are really nice. I always envy those guys who have a plenty of historical figs or parts for moding, like you :) Especially like Denethors hair and face :)

Do you think that these new sets from the third Hobbit wave vill be soon out of stock/retired? They are available since october, so its 3 months only. I dont know if they can wait cause for example MoM is already retired but now is hance to have it for decent price... I am not ready to make my decision its so hard :D

I do like the figure (he wears it in DoS) but I agree that if this is last thing form Hobbit/Lotr theme, they should give us something we still dont have.. Bolg or Thrain or proper Sauron. Shame but I hope that I will be able to get him, these figs are ussualy expensive for no reason. Like Blue coated Bilbo or Bilbo in night outfit. Thats just riddiculous.

Just have question...what will you suggest to obtain from LotR & Hoobbit line... My choose: Mines of Moria for around 90-100 bucks (still dont have it although I have all Fellowship characters) Uruk Hai Army for almost double original price have it 2x but I still need more uruks and Rohan) Battle of five armies set (dont like the building but the figs are most wanted for me) OR I realized that I quite like Lone Ranger set - Colby city, there are nice buildings and I really like this little cute scene with all accesory in it. But I dont have Western sets, I didnt colllect them and My dipslaqy has only Historic themes based on Middle earth, Pirates and Knights with castles. So any suggestions? (To be honest I have every single set form the theme, onl ymiss Smaug and Lonely mountain, Dale strucutre, Shelob, and Orc Forge AND MINES OF MORIA)

Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. Actually, this is gonna be one of the few of my creations which I want to create in real lego. In my lake town there is only regular sets (both of them) and two little structures with another bridge as add on. so this Tower be another add on and it suppose to be standing in the middle, therefore after little update this tower will be completed from all 4 sides (not like existing sets which are more then less facade :)
