  1. Nearly two years ago, I built this model in real bricks. I then promptly forgot to take pictures of it. Oh well, better late than never! This building provides a station for my LEGO versions of the rail-based Thomas the Tank Engine characters, and a place to put Bertie thus bus. The station was inspired by either a old Railbricks or an early Brick Journal article. (I can't remember which!) Here is the track side view, with a mail box on the platform. I named the station 'Davis' for two reasons: 1) It sounds British-like 2) I had the printed tiles lying around and wanted to use them somewhere. This MOC provided me a perfect opportunity! The street entrance has a small staircase to the station building, with the ramp allowing freight to get to the platform level. The inside features two rooms: the ticket office with stove (on left) and the quite small waiting room (right side). Three chairs are inside the public area, with more waiting space is outside on the platform. The model is modular, with two different size platform extensions, main building, and the roof. That's all I have on this one... Thoughts greatly appreciated!
  2. Here is one of Thomas the Tank Engine's best friends, Bertie the bus, as seen in The Railway Series books and the original Thomas and Friends TV show. You can see LEGO Thomas and his fellow engines and some rolling stock over in my thread in the Train Tech sub-forum. Thomas and Bertie once had a a race, and they both want a rematch, but I don't think they ever will... do you? This model's front end was inspired by 2019 Harry Potter set 75957 (The Knight Bus) and the rear portion by the bus in the 2017 set 10259. (Winter Village Station) The side door opens, and Bertie seats one driver and two passengers (three figures overall). The rear of the friendly bus. You can see the read about the original book version of him here and the TV show here, both on the Thomas and Friends wiki. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  3. Hi everyone, I'm pretty new around here so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post this here, but wanted to share with you my most recent IDEAS project! Created by the legendary Wilbert Awdry in 1946, Thomas is and has been beloved by children around the world and has become an icon for both kids and adults alike. To celebrate Thomas's 75th Anniversary, I created this project to pay tribute to this beloved little Tank Engine and the man who created it. Like Thomas himself, this build is highly based on the (LB&SCR) E2 Tank Engine with additional details based on his appearance in both the Railway series and the classic TV series. Thomas includes a detailed interior that can easily be accessed by detaching the roof. The cabin features space for 1 Minifigure and a highly detailed furnace. Though too small for any motorized features, Thomas's chassis features a built-in gear mechanism to allow the wheels to rotate smoothly. Currently, we are very close to hitting 5.000 supporters so if you want to see this become an actual set, then consider supporting this project through the link down below: https://bit.ly/2Ruzxzp
