  1. As much disdain as I have for the real-world vehicle, I have to say this MOC is incredible. Instantly recognisable and beautifully detailed. It almost makes me want to convert the Sián into an Urus! (almost)
  2. We FINALLY get the 3×13 curved panel from the Osprey in DBG! Also the 1L micro panel (aka toilet roll) in DBG so we can tidy up the front end of the Peugeot Edit: I'm starting doubt they're 3×13 and may actually be a new, shorter mould?
  3. Does anybody know if 35189 fits into 32495?
  4. This is my biggest gripe with technic; we have a far smaller inventory of elements and yet what you can actually create yourself is limit by colour availability. Case in point: fenders. When the 42056 Porsche came with orange fender fairings in 2016 it was arguably a game changer for realism in technic, and in the 8 years since they've been released in azure, dark blue and... dark purple. That's it. There have been a dozen or so other fender designs but a lot of them made one appearance only and I am starting to worry that might be it.
  5. It looks fantastic! I do hope you stick with the Zarooq / offroader direction though. Will be keeping a keen eye on progress.

    LEGO® Ideas 21311 Voltron

I always like to compare the original submission with the final product, and this might be one of those rare occasions where the official TLG version is a better set! My guess is this will be a stand-alone set, much like the Dr Who and TBBT licences.
  7. Hi there! Don't know about the kids but the first thing that caught my eye was that awesome Audi TT MOC! Had a look through your Flikr but couldn't find it Do you have any more pics of it somewhere please?
  8. So glad this got bumped! Just seeing your MOC for the first time and it is amazing! I'm also just as amazed seeing how you build in complete modules. I tend to build an entire working chassis first then bolt the bodywork on afterwards... Maybe that's where I'm going wrong
  9. I had a look on bricklink and they don't even have an inventory up for 41347 yet so I used BrickOwl as my source.
  10. Just briefly perused the summer catalogue today and noticed the flex axle 12 is available in dark pink for the first time in 41347 (x4).
  11. To link from the front page methinks.
  12. Smile guys! You're in the elite club of people who get the "first look" at a brand new Lego set ;) (despite the sarcasm, I'm extremely jealous )
  13. As the gears all come in their own unique colour (+1 for colour vomit ) we can just to refer to them that way Grey clutch gear = old 16z Red clutch gear = new 16z Blue clutch gear = 20z bevel White clutch gear = 24z with grey centre
  14. I personally think the image has been intentionally grey-scaled by TLG so as to keep us in suspense for another week.
  15. Can't hide the fact I'm really disappointed. I was/am really hoping for a May 1st unveiling...
  16. Sadly it seems the Bugatti already has unique wheels that probably won't work with any existing suspension elements
  17. Yeah saw this earlier, it's on the Bugatti stand at the Geneva Motor Show. Interesting thing to note: the display says Coming May 2018 ;)
  18. Unfortunately we are the minority - technically minded with high expectations. I'm guessing despite all its flaws, the Porsche was a phenomenal commercial success. There was a huge social media campaign full of people we ourselves wouldn't include as part of the "community" commenting how much they wanted one based just off the promo images/video. I my self know a handful of people who own the Porsche despite not owning a set for 20+ years. That's Lego's target market, and they're the people who have it sitting on display gathering dust. With that in mind, we can see what went right for the Porsche and what we can expect to make a return with the Bugatti: premium packaging, coffee table book, focus on build-ability an aesthetics rather than playability post-construction. My guess is this means a bright colour and many, many panels.
  19. Or both, considering most Veyrons/Chirons are two-tone!
  20. Holy hell it's gorgeous! I especially like the use of panels to style inside the door shuts
  21. I would like to see a contest where a model (vehicle) has to overcome a challenge, such as cross a 1m wide chasm or climb 30cm step.
  22. Another great review, is this a set you actually like?! Why this set was not branded as "Extreme Off-Roader 3" I'll never know... Yes the LBG 11L axle is new to 2017, but does not make its first appearance in this set; it's also available in the SW Y-wing and the carousel.
  23. Seeing as my annual Lego budget is already almost completely depleted, I was considering building 42069 from my own collection, substituting dark purple pieces with orange ones. Despite ~13k parts in my collection I still need nearly 200 parts to be able to build it (I swear TLG do this on purpose!). According to bricklink this will cost me £50-60, and almost £10 of that is on 52 of those silly little rubber grips on the treads... does anyone have experience buying from Lego's customer service website? Is it any cheaper? Now a quick question for those that have the set: do the wheel hubs used in the fake suspension (8x silver, 8x black) have a pin hole or an axle hole in the centre?
  24. Seeing as these sets are now on sale I half expected the official instructions to be available on lego.com but that's not the case. Even when you change your location to Russia! It's unlikely that the part will be longer. 4 studs long is 4 studs. Lego are so precise it should be an accepted SI unit my guess is they've modified it to make the area of contact with the perpendicular beams smaller, thus reducing friction and wear.
