Hey guys! I've recently made this buggy! I'm not too satisfied with the looks of it, i might change the body with something else but the chassis has probably one of the best handlings of all the vehicles I've made so far. I'll update this post when I'll shoot a video or when i'll build a different body, hopefully soon! Hope you'll like it!

RC - Dune buggy
piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
yeah that was more or less the idea at the beginning... then i struggled with the rounded shapes at that small scale and i gave up completely thanks guys i'm glad you like it! Every now and then I still have some time to get back at building, hopefully I'll have more time soon! -

Awesome entry! I love it, the amount of functions is stupidly high for that scale, now I have to put myself at work to get on pair with my wrecker ahah Well done! -

[TC25]Rebel Wrecker 8858

Hi there everyone :) I always loved this model since i was a kid, I made a studdless RC version around 10 years ago wich didn't come out great but it was similar. When I saw the shrinking contest It's been the first model that came to my mind so here's my WIP for my TC25 entry. I will probably try to build it in different versions, I still haven't decided if i prefer it as a pullback little car or a more functional one. Given the scale it might be just a pullback with suspensions and an overall look that will try to match the original one. Let's see what comes out at the end :) Feedback and suggestions are apreciated as usual! Update n1 -

piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I might actually try to make two versions of it, one with functions and one with pullback, at the end of the day the end of the contest is still very far away :) I kinda doubt there's gonna be space to fit both steering and a working fake engine together with the pendulum front axle as it has now but I'll try my best :) -

Thank you! yeah unfortunately yes but i guess it could be linked to the rear axle if I removed the pullback motor -

piterx replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is indeed a good hint, i had the same doubt about it, it looked good but too many tiles, how about something like this? it looks a bit bulkier but probably closer to the original bulkiness of the rebel wrecker update n5 I had to remake the chassis because it was too much of a mess, now it's way cleaner and I'm starting to test the fake engine and how to mount it -

Update n3 Sooo, apparently there's no way i can make something that looks good and steers at the same time, so i guess i will just go for a fake engine If you guys have any suggestions they'd be much apreciated! :) -

Update n2 So, I've been struggling a bit with the fenders to give the original shape to the model, so far this is the best I could think of. Another thing I would probably like to add would be a steering system that keeps the desired angle so when pulling it back it could take a curve maybe? Not too sure about it but let's see what happens This if with the tiles on the sides had stickers -

Jamming Old Models (Question)
piterx replied to Lipko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i'm pretty sure dust + humidity + maybe air pollution glues every gear in a model... I remember noticing that on models i had in my house in rome where the pollution is high and the dust is sticky. -
The Impossible

I wouldn't call that bike self balancing to be honest.. I'm not here to pick on you, but your attitude is annoyingly presumptuous, I've been on this forum for over a decade and an attitude like yours brings only toxicity to a community that shares the same passion. There is no need for bold claims and clickbait titles, we are all here to share more than to sell stuff... Figure something out: this guy here in the video below, 10 years ago made the first lego bike then slewentogzz made the first one using only lego pieces and an sbrick then greengecko made a more refined one shifting a weight to make it lean then i took that concept and used the battery instead then afrination and amorti made their concepts improving what i've done and so on all this to say that we're all here to have fun together rather than trying to assess who's the first one to do something or trying to get noticed for something. Generally speaking no one cares, it's just legos... -
