How do you ship large Lego flattened boxes?

Thank you very much , @MAB and @deraven for your wonderful advice! I'll see if I can find some mass quantity of boxes for hopefully a semi-cheap price at my local supply store. Last question I have is what the cheapest option for shipping one would be for someone in USA. I don't think I can ship this as media, and I'm hoping to pay less than $15 if I do plan to ever ship one out. Thanks again you two, I appreciate it. If either of you knows the best carrier to ship one is, I'd be more than happy to hear what you have to say.

[MOC] Classic Space Beta-II Refinery Base

After gaining access to launch from the Beta-I Command Base on Exis XII, some crew members were sent to help keep the refinery base in touch. After putting on their new uniforms for the region, they are relocated and ready to trade with the locals! IMG_5008 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr By using the portable fusion generator for the region, the workers are able to keep the pump running to collect the area's gooey marsh fluid in order to form erchois fuel crystals. IMG_5016 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Sadly though, the local reptilia also need that marsh fluid! Looks like we'll have to get a new wrench. IMG_5011 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr I've always loved the HO scale garage doors from the 60s and I finally found a good use for one in classic space, do you guys think it fits in? IMG_5017 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr When ready, the latest model of the federation's one person support spacecraft (Nebulus series) is ready to take a flight back to Beta-I. IMG_5023 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Inside the refinery, the gooey substance is being refined into crystals of pure energy to use and also to trade with the Zephii race. Yum!!! IMG_5035 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The Nebulus VI can also be loaded with the fuel cargo and can be easily reconfigured into a land support vehicle! transformation by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr IMG_5027 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The engine can easily be removed from the front to be worked on via the workbench. IMG_5028 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Lastly, both baseplates can be separated and can be used as separate bases or can easily be reconfigured. IMG_5045 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr The total piece count is 2000. This is among some of my first space creations so thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed. Take care and as always, happy travels, Earthling. v2 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Here are a few more quick photos for anyone interested:

    [MOC] Europa

That's some wonderful hull shaping you have there! I love the incline towards the stern. Also, your colors are very nice (especially the dark red for the flooring). The yellow hose along the side actually looks really nice in my opinion as it adds more bulk on the exterior sides which is just normally tiled. Great rigging and an overall excellent vessel! I absolutely love it! Also, I do have to agree with Phes. Where dem figs?

    Space Turtles! (part 1)

Great design, Celloguy! The wacky ship designs are always the best ! You don't often the insectoid wings in builds, so that's a great use for those. It's always neat to see your added stories to the ships. The only question to be asked now is: are they peaceful?

    [LDD] Greek Sacoleve

@Disabella I agree with Anders. It's tricky to get a balance of the perfect cost on bricklink for what you're looking for. For me, it's mainly difficult because I love all the rare colors and pieces like chrome. The way I think of it is that you should be happy with the way your build turns out and not take shortcuts in order to get exactly what you're looking for, even if it takes extra time and...extra money. I'd rather have one build that I was able to achieve exactly what I was looking for rather than two that I had to take shortcuts on. However, I do think that if you come across an expensive piece that's not exactly prevalent and important in your build (such as an expensive reddish-brown slope, that can be easily replaced) then you should take just a few seconds to adjust in in stud.io beforehand. At least you're not in the USA right now! With the virus, the American market took a huge hit to costs. My recent order came to 42 carts! Lastly, I'll add that before you place your order, you should probably design a stand for the ship as it looks like the bottom is only 1 stud wide so it will need more support to stay up. Once again, this is truly a gorgeous ship and I'm very eager to see it in bricks and rigged!

    [LDD] Greek Sacoleve

Oh my goodness, Disabella, this is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job replicating the very difficult angles and capturing the beauty of the sacoleve! As my memory goes, I don't think anyone on eurobricks has yet to post any sacoleve ships, so I'm greatly looking forward to seeing this built. The bow is my favorite aspect of your build! Truly amazing. I'm going to go look again!

    [MOC] King Kahuka's Cargo Cult

So THAT'S where all the old cafe MISB modulars went! I love the treasure chests as stairs, ha! Nice rockwork and a great story to read as well. Wonderful build, Samarth!

    [OL-FB] Terraman le Clairon

Another wonderful ship, @Bodi! You did an excellent job putting those white hull parts to great use as well as those golden accents in the stern. As always, your rigging is excellent as well as your overall design of the ship. Love it!

[MOC] Huge Rogue Shadow with full interior!

Oh my goodness... This is AMAZING! Brings back so many memories. The modular features as well as the curvature make this one spectacular model! I love how smooth everything is as well as the color accents. Gorgeous, truly gorgeous. Excellent work, Evilkirk!

    [MOC] Alien Train Station

That's awesome! I love the look of the train with the pure black and trans-red! The skull and the very smooth curvature of it also look excellent. The minifigures and the station itself are as well very nicely designed! Looks like something straight out of an H.P. Lovecraft book. Once again, excellent work. Love it!

@Mister Phes Thank you for taking time to look at my build, Mr. Phes! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! @Spud The Viking Your kind words mean the world. Thank you, Spud! It's great to see that people found my building style to fit in! @Beleg the Ranger So glad you liked it, thank you Beleg! I'm not sure how realistic the classroom is, but I just had to use that old chalkboard sticker lego made, haha!

[ESL - FB] "Nautical One," Fuerte Unido School of Primary Education

Thank you for the kind words @krisbarkley! Lots of us here were raised in a family where lego was very present in our childhood. Due to this, it has grown almost as a comfort for us to be able to speak our creativity in the form of an infinite assortment of bricks. It's very enjoyable and has brought so many opportunities and friendships among people. Lego truly is a spectacular connection for so many around the world. Also, welcome to Eurobricks! Hope you enjoy what you see here!

    [MOC] Too heavy!!

Great work! The minifigure poses along with the colors and the moving features create a gorgeous scene! You should consider mabye adding a motor so it's constantly moving. With that, it'd be an excellent desk or wall shelf addition!

    [MOC] [WIP] - Merchants Bay

Looking good @Dorino! I'm looking forward to seeing the end result! The shark hung by the crane and the sand green and my favorite aspects! You did an excellent job maintaining the Barracuda Bay color scheme, it looks like it can sit right next to it. Also, anyone who takes inspiration from a WoW location is doing something right!

José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole

Wow! That is really well done @LM71Blackbird! This may be one of my favorite remakes of an old pirate set I've seen! Reminds me a lot of the barracuda bay color scheme and would probably fit right alongside it. Once again well done! Have you considered remaking the imperial trading post?

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)

Nice cutter, @Disabella! I agree with everyone else in saying this definitely would look stunning if it was in actual colors, but I have to add how well you did with what you have! Like Bregir said, the stern is fantastic and the overall brick-built look is excellent. Since you're running out of parts, I'd recommend looking into bricklink. Hopefully, you might be able to find the parts in colors you're looking for there. You definitely already are very good at building ships, and I'm sure all of us would love to see your next one with a color scheme to it. I look forward to seeing it rigged and with sails!

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)

Wow! Thank you so much @blackdeathgr! I tried the printable canvas sheets before with my "Boreas's Haul" from last year, and while it was amazing that I had zero issues with fraying, they sadly looked very similar to paper and could only be distinguishable for me by touch. I think I'll go with your idea and go to my local fabric store and ask around, maybe pick up some kind of paste to harden the sails as you said. Thanks again for your help, it is GREATLY appreciated, as well as the in-depth response! @Bregir Speaking of drawing the lines, could someone tell me what the purpose of those are on any square-rigged ship? I never took a sailing class nor have any knowledge as to how those are supposed to function. I figured that if I drew them, I probably should know their purpose so I do so correctly.

One of A Kind Ship MOC: "Barracuda of the BLACK Seas!!!"

After 113 years of development (that's right, before the release of lego), I present to you a MOC which could possibly revolutionize the lego industry as we know it. Prepare to be blinded by my all-powerful, Barracuda of the BLACK SEAS! 2050315ebbb0fc5011dce3acad2ab0db by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr As you can see, this is truly a breath-taking MOC. Now don't faint just yet, because I have to run you through the one of the kind play-features I included in this ingenious build. 8806820d6bb259bcf7f982af89de36f8 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Let's start with the rowboat. "Simplicity" must be the first word that strikes your mind when seeing, but alas, if you look closely you will notice a string. That's correct, but that isn't any string, it's A CORD and I used a truly spectacular method of creating a knot only the greatest minds of this generation would begin to comprehend. ee554e016dd55577db957e4f44cd6230 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Enough blabbering. Here's our next piece. Yes, it's a rudder, but perhaps the first-ever moving rudder presented to us by an intellectual (me of course). To create this ingenious design, I used a clip and attached it to some handles. It may seem simple to the weak-minded, but this practice took around 1,500 minutes to master. 2583388e83eb4c6ef2b71d9b6a80c82d by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Next, we have a fully functioning Captain's room. After 1.3 years of thought, (after achieving transcendence) I was able to imagine the perfect layout for this room, a treasure chest, a goblet, and a map. These are all necessities that we all have in our rooms so I figured a pirate captain would have them. Quite a long shot, but we all have to take a chance once in a while. 9ab5e0a6e5c4c38c78c25f4952f923cb by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Yes, the windows open as well. Take another second to bask in the glory of this MOC, take your time please as many before you have fallen trying to take this all in. Also, sorry, I've had a copyright on these play features for around 20 minutes now so if you use these play features ever, your MOC will be considered mine for all of eternity. c4bcefd74242df9d26c70c1da9223b9f by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Next, we have a custom flag I've created. Yes, I know, it's not official Lego, but I've spent around 15,000 hours and had to create an app called photoshop to make this intricate of a design. 13cb150028cfae413370599dccff8180 by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Back to play-features. I've also included a board that can be used to recreate the Gollum scene from LotR. Quite ingenious to include it on a pirate moc if you ask me. 358c2a9e43df0ba6667d8a75c71e91ee by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Second to last, I have to introduce these sails I also custom designed. Took around 1.3 Trillion seconds, but that was the easy part. The difficulty was in getting lego to custom make a new rigging piece for me, because I couldn't keep tying those "truly spectacular method of creating a knot only the greatest minds of this generation would begin to comprehend" knots all day. 2a1b43b71130ee6545b384dbf1bfae2a by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr And lastly, the greatest piece: the figurehead. This may look like a normal minifigure to you, but I assure you it was created using the most prestigious tactics. I traveled in space to NASA's Jupiter Juno Probe to infiltrate and "borrow" it's minifigures (I suggest you look it up if you haven't already), then proceeded to melt them down to craft this figurehead mold. Shhhh don't tell NASA! So what'd you think? I hope it wasn't too much for you to enter another dark age, but please, contact me anytime if you'd like to become an apprentice. Stay tuned for the following other MOCs I have planned within the next few millennia: -Red Beard's Rummer -Skull Eye's Stalker -Caribbean Clifford -King Anne's Avenge -The Plastic Pearl -Armada Ship of Flags -Loud Mary and most importantly -The Imperial Bankbreaker Happy Aprils Fools Day everyone! Honestly, I had a blast making this, and I think I went just a little bit overboard. Hope you enjoyed and stay safe, my friends! Take care and here's to another year of goofy times!
