RebelRock Posted June 10, 2009 Hello everyone! I haven't had time for posting on forums for a while due to life business. Luckily I have just enough time to get some building done now and then. This is castle Rockenstein. It's shape is mainly a ripoff of a portion of Schloß Lichtenstein castle. Adios!
Stash2Sixx Posted June 10, 2009 Saw it on Flickr last night! This thing is amazing! Your castles just keep gettin' better and better. How tall is it though, from tabletop to the top of the tower? It just looks massive. Thanks RebelRock.
Holodoc Posted June 10, 2009 May I say this really rocks? Another great MOC where I don´t know what to start with. All those details: The small balcony, the bell "tower", the main gate... (and the use of Star Wars material) Yet again, I´m speechless. I thought of printing one of your photos and sticking it to my wall. The only thing is: The round towers don´t fit to the clear and seemless other walls. I have no idea though, how to improve it. Thank you very much for your inspiration! Absolutely stunning! RebelRock Posted June 10, 2009 How tall is it though, from tabletop to the top of the tower? It just looks massive. I haven't measured but it looks about four feet(120cm) tall.
Matn Posted June 10, 2009 That's just more than fantastic. The landscaping is marvelous, and the numerous details added to the castle are also great. Great job RebelRock, as always.
Guss Posted June 10, 2009 saw it on flickr too, that's an awesome creation I want to say : "as usual" ^^
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 10, 2009 That's an absolutely awesome MOC, RebelRock! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and the details are stunning! Perhaps some more minifigs would add more life to it. Otherwise it's perfect! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter
I Scream Clone Posted June 11, 2009 Just amazing work Rocko! This must have been a fun yet frustrating build for you?! So much energy must go into something of this magnitude. The curved towers are exquisite, well done!
Darth Lion Posted June 11, 2009 WOW! Incredible castle. Seems to be VERY huge. Love the main tower and the gate. Awesome rocks btw. You need 5 minutes to figure out all these great details. Great job!
Erdbeereis Posted June 11, 2009 Just outstanding. The curved towers are so lovely, and the amount of detail put into everything is amazing. Great landscaping as well. A+ MOC.

Teddy Posted June 11, 2009 This is a beautyfull castle! all the lovely details. This is really one of my favourites castles up untill now. I'll save this for future reference. I especially like the moddling you've done with the random dark bley tiles. Is there a particular reason why you didn't use light bley tiles as well? I have to concur with Holodoc that the round towers seem a bit out of place compared to the other walls. But I'm not yet aware of a more satisfactory technique, except for tiling the exterior of the towers with light bley tiles. But that could leave annoying gaps between the tiles. As far as the landscape is concerned I love your rock formations. But I'm a bit curious to your choice for a green field around the castle. The original Lichtenstein castle sits on the top of a high mountain, protecting the back. You're version seems to be a bit vulnarable at the back in that green field, maybe a moat at the back would look better? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks a lot for sharing this beautyfull castle. Kind regards, Teddy
Sir Dillon Posted June 11, 2009 Stunning! A beautiful piece of work for sure. I do wish you had taken the time to build a ramp or something to connect with the drawbridge though... it looks odd just hanging there like that.

UsernameMDM Posted June 16, 2009 Very cool. Consider me a fan of your MOCs. Love the round tower and overall design. Is there an interior and if so, can you post some pics of it?
