Darth Legolas Posted April 2, 2009 Why do people make fakes? I don't know. What I do know, is that this one is so pathetic it made me fall out of my seat!
meschepers Posted April 2, 2009 Those are pretty bad fakes, but I have seen worse. Any chance you can provide a link to a larger sized pic?
Darth Legolas Posted April 2, 2009 Those are pretty bad fakes, but I have seen worse.Any chance you can provide a link to a larger sized pic? Nope, sorry. I found them on brickshelf. They were listed as "2010 sets."
Sandy Posted April 2, 2009 Now, don't be mean! I don't think those sets are pathetic at all! They're perfectly acceptable MOCs in my opinion, though it's obvious they're not planned by a professional. These "sets" have a kind of old school vibe to them, too. Sir Dillon Posted April 2, 2009 While they're obviously fake, if you aren't comparing them directly with official sets the creations look pretty decent as a "create your own theme" type of thing. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more pictures of the large hideout.
gogobig Posted April 2, 2009 I hope that the new Elf sets are much better and introduce a few new faces, torsos, weapons and bricks. However, I give this person a credit for cretivity and desire. Very nice little MOCs.
Lordofdragonss Posted April 2, 2009 The biggest set is really cool! I want it!
just2good Posted April 2, 2009 There not that bad. But I wish there were real.
Darth Legolas Posted April 3, 2009 I wasn't meaning these were bad MOCs, it's just that these are terrible fakes. I suppose that the impulse set could be plausible though. But the Orc piggybacking on the troll inside a basket looks kinda random!
Raven Brickroft Posted April 3, 2009 They are OK at most. The bad thing about is that they were labeled as "2010 Sets" Piggybacking troll? I've been planning to make those.
The Green Brick Giant Posted April 3, 2009 The bad thing about is that they were labeled as "2010 Sets" That's my problem too. I have nothing against people making fake sets for fun as long as they call them fake. Saying these are fro m2010 is idiotic because those look horribly blah. Still Raindrop Posted April 3, 2009 My favorite part is that the faker didn't bother to change the sides of the boxes. You can see on the large set that he used the Dwarves' Mine box (judging by the tan giant troll and figures with winged helmets on the sides and tops)
Lockt Posted April 3, 2009 Euh, wasn't there a competition of EB itself to make MOC elf sets? At least there where some entrees who also made box-art like this. So I have to agree with above statements: nice mocs, not so nice folder title, but no need for all the fuzz...

Zorro Posted April 3, 2009 come on..... we need Elves.....to complete fantasy era themeplease somebody contact TLC to release more quickly and change the design of castle 2009, replace all skelly with elf. That's good I agree, Elves would really complete the series. And I love the LOTR feeling a lot.
Batbrick Posted April 4, 2009 They're actually pretty cool, I especially like the Elf cart, that one I'd actually love to be a set! Batbrick Away!
Dwarfinator Posted April 4, 2009 Hm... they don't look so bad, I like 'em. I hope Lego makes an Elf theme, they've already done Dwarves.
Nikola Bathory Posted April 4, 2009 That's lame, some people have too ,uch free time! btw Elves in the LEGO world would be cool to see. We can hope
Oky Posted April 4, 2009 The photoshopping on these is actually not bad, but the MOCs are. They don't look like real sets at all. Gosh, I wish we had some confirmation that the elf theme is really going to happen!
Bricklanta Posted April 6, 2009 These sets could be good MOCS it's just the box that ruins it.
