What are the odds on any knights appearing in this set and what are the chances of us getting a different faction from the ones we’ve had past couple of years?

I would be dissapointed if a new faction is not introduced or more likely an old faction re-introduced.

Yes sorry meant reintroduced. I mean I have a few forestmen, falcons and lions from the recent sets so it would be nice for another

3304 pieces is just 50% more than the blacksmith, I fear it won't be the same scale :pir-sceptic:

I'd love to have a few properly scaled medieval buildings to display with it.

I sure hope not, that is the biggest con with the blacksmiths that it do not fit with any other Castle set that have ever come out of Billund  If you buy 2 sets and double the size of the buildings you are close in scale probably

Brickmerge state it will be a remake of the 2009 medieval market 10193 so I would expect 2 buildings.

It is not a remake but a follow up set and the prelim had 4 buildings, one of them look like a remake of the guarded inn set. The other 3 seems something completely new, but something that fit well with MMV and MVR sets (and the 90 year castle of course)

I think and hope they will use most of the budget on civilians and animals, so it depends if there are anything left for a new faction after that. However 6067 Guarded Inn have 2 "Crusader Axe" figs in it and if there is a remake of that in the set maybe that is most likely + we have the shield already.

Yes!!!!! 👍

First part, quite high (look at the prelim, plus the fact that LEGO has included knights in all civilian Medieval sets in the 21st century); second part, TBD (it really depends upon whether we get a new faction in the Majisto GWP, IMO).

We've already have blurred images of the set from the feb survey leak, kinda confused why we're talking as though we haven't seen it.  I don't think it's gonna look vastly different from the leak.

It can look somewhat close to it - but it also can look totally different. I mean Designers make different concepts of sets, so the one from the survey might just be one of those. And wheter they decided for that one or another is kinde completely uncertain. And actually I hope it does look different from the leaks, especially colour-wise.

I would bet on at least one or two knights. They could basically be any faction but I would actually think it will be just the Lion Knights again, since I guess they will create it as addition the the Castle. I would love to see Wolfpack Bandits actually. Well any many many villagers in different clothings. We need way more peasants and normal citizens

Their shield did appear in the Lion Knights' Castle, but I suspect that if LEGO is going to revive an old faction, it would be one of the more iconic ones (note that they started with Black Falcons, then moved on to Lion Knights and Forestmen).

An axe variant would be cool, and if designed similarly enough to the existing lion torso, the Crusader Axe knights could reuse the Lions' legs.

The more civilians the better can’t have a peasants revolt without any peasants 😂

There are two in the prelim, and they appear to be using Viking torsos, so the faction was not decided at the prelim stage.

Agreed. I think it'll end up being quite similar in scale to the prelim. Also, if it's anything to go by, I think any knights that may come with it will be Lions. That wouldn't break my heart at all, but of course, updated Black Knights would be preferred.

Man, I'm so excited about this. I'm so pleased that this appears to be happening.

I still woudn´t rely to much on anything that is shown there, but I could argue, that the flagg on the tower clearly shows the colours of the Lion Knights.

The style of the tower and the flag colors they use makes it look like it could have some connectivity to the LKC.  I could see them tying in Lion Knights as well, though I am also hoping for some variants, especially for the size and price of the set.

The prelim had a forestman riding a horse so it is a small chance we get a new print for them as well :shrug_oh_well:

I think the colors might be set.  I agree they're kinda janky, but I can see them rolling with it as a companion set to the Medieval Market Village.

Yup, that’s what I’m basing my assumption on too. Variants would be greatly appreciated. Something like a lions archer in a similar style to the CMF falconer would be appreciated.

I'm on the 'smaller than the Medieval Blacksmith and a better scale with the castle' train. The Blacksmith is great, but it really does feel too large in comparison to the castle.

Although things can change a lot between prelims and final product, and they likely have several versions, I don't know why they wouldn't show off their preferred model in the survey. And if the survey response was so poor as to change it to a different design, then they might have decided to just not release it anyway. So I'd say it will be close to the prelims.

It would be great to get another knight faction. Ideally a second forestmen torso design. And loads of civilians.

Potentially unpopular opinion: I don't really care what faction of knights is present in the Medieval Town Square (I guess I'm going to have to get used to that name). I'm not much of an army builder (I already have a good-sized crew from the Fantasy/Crown Knights era and currently don't want a second large human group), and I don't have any nostalgia over the older themes. At worst, I'll just have whoever the new knights are be another visiting kingdom for a tournament or a trade escort, like I've done with a few other odd knights I've gotten in the past. I'm just here for the peasants and village itself.

Agreed! It does look good in isolation, but it doesn't "mesh" as well with the MMV. Again, as someone who mostly just has the Fantasy era sets, I thought that the scale between that castle and the MMV was pretty good: the castle was still a big, imposing centerpiece, but the village was still roomy and didn't feel tiny (especially when the sets were "opened up"). I'm actually thinking about either trying to mod my blacksmith shop into something closer in size to the MMV (and have it open up in a similar way), or use one of the Rebrickable mods to turn it into a cathedral. Or, maybe I'll sell it to help get more funds for Medieval Town Square...

There is a Rebrickable model, I think, that does this alreay. Although the level of detail you lose makes you think twice, because it's also so much harder to lose something you had.

I'm wary on any of those alternate mocs because I don't know how they match up to the LKC or minifigure scale.  Some of the ones I've seen with decent sizes also have weird proportions like smaller doors which a minifig might not actually be able to enter in, or be able to fit inside.

Well one reason could be, because you kinda can expect there would be leaks happening. So Lego wouldn´t want the version getting leaked they want to release, I guess.

Brickclicker went over a TLG confidentiality report recently where they talked about leaks in 2023.  They addressed the Feb survey leak as the 'elephant in the room'

"For leak this drastic, many security points went wrong, but the individual source was identified!"

So it sounds like they never planned on this actually happening, and based on their reactions (taking down any and all leak images online) it doesn't really sound like they were using very loose mock-ups.  And as far as we know, the survey was targetted around figuring price points for the sets, rather than the actual interest and marketability for it.  It sounded like these were all planned to be released at some point, and TLG just wanted to figure out what price points people would be expecting them, probably especially after the inflation/markup that we had last August.

Promobricks has leaked more information. Sounds like plenty of civilians. And maybe five buildings? Or could be five things, sharing buildings.
