LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

It probably counts in the same place the other Christmas figures go, but unfortunately the rumour is only 1 figure. Safe bet is either a Tie Pilot or Darth Vader and the figure would be Christmas themed. love the look of the Slave 1 brings me back to memories of the Slave 1 ship toy I had when the film first came out. Had I not just bought the Shire and Barad Dur set i might have picked it up. Hoping the one in the summer comes out as well as this one. -

They would be great candidates for like an animated Lego SW CMF (sorry for bringing up a SW CMF). If we can’t get a dooku from the films or the clone wars there is literally no chance of us getting a younger version. Or even if Lego did a 4/5 character packs (like the Hoth and Clone ones) with say inquisitor Bariss, purge trooper or two and the 4th sister or like a Jedi pack with a young dooku, young qui gon and a yaddle in. LSW is so out of balance and some of their decision making is odd to say the least. you look at all the set potential for TBB and they give us that overpriced ship and an expensive shuttle with all of them in. Even BoBF the fact we never got another set and never got a figure for the Wookiee i think is criminal imo. there are so many characters, trooper types, vehicle types, droids now in SW that it’s impossible to get every figure in LEGO format (at least not officially and instead going down the customs route). -

So is it going to be gingerbread themed or candy cane themed TIE? Personally hope it’s Candy cane. Know it sounds stupid in my head the TIE is used as a sled and is being dragged by tauntauns and they bring back Santa Vader -

It’s way off topic but it might just be that SW is so big and so many eras that all of the new stuff might just not be for you. There’s people on here who worship the OT and have little patience for anything else, there are people my age (30s) who had the prequels and enjoyed them for what they are and I’m sure in 10 years time people will be coming out as ST fans. Then you throw in those who like CW but hate Rebels and vice versa, those who flat out hate all the animated stuff. There is probably some out there who like everything and for me that’s fine. Everyone has their favourites and I don’t think more content is ever going to take away from anyone’s favourites. Disney has its faults but I’d rather have the content we’ve had for the past 10+ years than have nothing, at least for me now because of Disney and the new stuff there is an established canon whether you like it or not it used to wind me up everyone arguing over what is and isn’t canon. SW fans now are almost as bad as Star Trek fans if not worse you could argue Star Trek have had it a lot worse than StarWars has recently but you know you’ve got fans of the originals, TNG, Voyager, DS9, Enterprise and even Discovery doesn’t mean one trumps the over they just all exist in the same galaxy. For me what SW need to do is to have a massive time jump forward so there is literally no connection to any existing characters or anything and tell a new story and maybe blow up Tatooine in the first minute as that planet gets overused. back to Lego I saw someone tease a Christmas themed TIE getting released obviously it’s a fake but I never knew how much I wanted one until now… -

Didn’t realise there were so many sets for May tbh but just shows how underwhelming they are though tbh as only one of them is system scale. I imagine we’ll get the gonk goat and Grevious at some point there aren’t many droids left that i think they can do and at the rate they are pumping them out. I think at some point even though it’s new audiences they are targeting the adult only sets sales will eventually cannibalise each other across all themes and not just in Lego shops but in Supermarkets, and other Shops that sell Lego. There are so many licenses now that a lot of adults don’t just like one thing. SW, Star Trek coming this year, Pokemon next year, Mario sets and even Mario Kart, Marvel, DC, LOTR, Harry Potter, Twilight, F1, Jaws, Jurassic Park etc Even outside the licenses you e got the botanicals, ideas, Icons, modulars, art sets not everybody can constantly drop £100+ a month or every couple of months on a new adult sets and at some point it’s going to be an either/or situation when your wanting to pick up certain sets not sure how long it’ll be before we get to that point but Lego have to be careful not to overdo it. -

Start off with a buildable B2, buildable grievous, buildable gonk droid and then a buildable R4 and 20 other droids. Followed by 4 501st battlepacks, a blue 501st venator system scale and blue 501st gunship and a 501st mech. I’m hoping there are some good fake lists but also some good news as well. I’m only interested in summer sets but May is UCS, SW logo, the ATAT pilot helmet and (don’t know if I dreamt this?) chopper right? And also the U wing. At the moment this U wing set looks like the best set of the year not that it’s had much competition -

Crikey your right have spent ages looking. This is why I hate it when things leak so early it’s hard to track. I still expect there to be leaks for the summer in terms of details of figure lists and features. And maybe May for the Death Star. We’ve not had any images for mays sets yet except for one pic of the U wing. Weirdly we’ve already seen the pics of the June sets -

I could have sworn April 1st was the meme wave news last year because we were all thinking yeah Jedi Bob, Darth Jar Jar and White Vader and Cal Kestis is coming in the summer good April fools then few days later it was verified. I feel like it was ages before we knew anything about figures for the sail barge as all we had was the prelims leak in 2022. I think the only leak we had until closer was the max rebo pic. regardless I expect the coming days will give us more news of the summer sets and some clarification on what the UT-AT or not UT-AT set will be and maybe pics of the May wave. We are getting June pics in other themes so we can’t be far off for the May ones. I do reckon we’ll get official U wing and K2S0 reveals when Andor gets released. I’m loving the fact that they are releasing 3/4 episodes a week it is my most anticipated series since Disney+ started making SW shows. Just hope there is a season 3 “Somehow Andor returned” -

Technically the June wave onwards is the 2nd half of the year we just know about everything this year ridiculously early. This time last year we found out about the meme summer wave on April fools of all days. But my comment was more about the fact there are no new series or films or games that are being released as far as I’m aware until the Mando film gets released next year so it’s a long time considering we’ve had something for the past few years. It does also mean potentially a January and March wave in 2026 for more remakes or Andor catch up sets or even other Disney plus sets. -

I was looking forward to the rogue squadron film. You don’t realise until you look at how many film projects have gone tits up. Like I completely forgot they gave the GoT writers a trilogy to make. maybe overreacting but I do feel for the future of SW both on the film and TV front. Films have been plagued with issues, TV shows not getting as well received as they’d hoped. It might mean with less content Lego can go back to making a new landspeeder and Hoth snowspeeder every year -

I know just films seem cursed that’s all. It’s crazy how after May there is no more SW content for an entire year considering how much we have had over the past few years. They seemed so on it when Mandolorian first released I still wish that it was a season 4 rather than a film. Hoping there’s no delays or anything crazy happening and we can get a good wave with some imperial remnants sets at least. -

I can’t imagine what else could be in a galactic marines set apart from a UT-AT. But it’s what gives me some comfort as someone who had always wanted them in LEGO form is that the figures have been the consistent thing about the rumors. Same as Cal Kestis was the anniversary fig for the Death Star play set that turned into the ISD. My preference is still a UT-AT but I’ve seen some ideas one I liked the sound of was a smaller republic tank/vehicle alongside a CIS one along the likes of a TIE vs X wing kind of set. But Lego have done stranger things just was excited for a UT-AT but I’ll settle for anything with the marines in. I think people assume the N1 was rushed because there was no leaks for it it just came out of nowhere. Afterall at the time nobody was expecting TBOBF to be mandalorian season 2.5. Has it ever happened before that Lego skipped so many set numbers? I do wonder if because of all the delays of the films over the past year whether it was meant to be reserved for a film wave. (Still sceptical about the Mando film coming out considering all the other film projects fate) -

My money would be on the next BP being for the Mando movie. My crystal ball says we’ll get a few sets in January. Some gimmick sets in March and then May onwards Mando movie With regards to the DS I used to dream about getting the last one and how lucky I would be but this one just seems too expensive $1000 I don’t think I could justify it. Depending on the pics I want to love it but I have a feeling I’ll just pick up the figures I want of eBay/bricklink and just settle for the figure I already have that’ll most likely feature in the set -

So 40 figures and if we are presuming it’s like the last one then let’s take a guess at some of the figures 1. Kenobi 2. Luke 3. Leia 4. Chewbacca 5. Han 6. R2 D2 7. C3P0 8. Vader 9. Tarkin 10. Krennic 11. Luke RotJ 12. Luke (Stormie) 13. Han (Stormie) 14. Emperor 15+16 Royal Guards. they are all safe guesses aren’t they so leaves 24 figures to account for. Let’s say 20 odd figures make up your generic troops your Tie Pilots, Stormtroopers, DS gunners, Imperial Crew, random officers, maybe a few Death Troopers. Then your last 4 are your high ranking officers that I can’t remember the names of and that’s 40. I can’t see there being any great surprises. I’m quite intrigued to see some pictures.
