Giacinto Consiglio Posted August 9, 2017 (edited) Here it is, my latest and grandest MOC, the Roman History Museum!! It contains more than 7000 bricks and I've been gathering its pieces since February. Hope you like it! Enjoy!! greg3 Posted August 9, 2017 Awesome stuff!! I really love that fountain and the bulding itself is perfect!! I really like the exhibits too!! I'd love to see a museum like this released as an official set!! (If only!!) Thanks for sharing!!
Giacinto Consiglio Posted August 9, 2017 Thank you for commenting!! However photos don't do it justice, as I'm a really bad photographer with a really bad camera (I still use my phone)
Henchmen4Hire Posted August 9, 2017 (edited) After seeing this, museums are now way up on my list of favorite MOCs. I want to make so many photocomics with that building! The white "marble" mannequins that accentuate the ancient armor and weapons are my favorite bits here. Edited August 9, 2017 by Henchmen4Hire
Littleworlds Posted August 10, 2017 This is really outstanding. There have been a couple of museum MOCs like this, but this one is by far the most consequent and inspired of them. The collections are full of great (and also very plausible, because realistic) ideas, the museum itself looks both stunning and thoughtfully designed. A brilliant build! deraven Posted August 10, 2017 I'll echo what everyone else said: Beautiful inside and out! The exterior design of the building is great in those colors, and that planet dome matches better than I thought it would. Some nice creative work on all the different exhibits inside as well. Bravo! LegoSjaak Posted August 10, 2017 Really great work on the inside!!! The whole building looks smaller than it actually is, i think.. Maybe you should place it next to a modular we are familiar with, to see the grandeur of your build!!

jus1973 Posted August 10, 2017 Fabulous. Looks like it's taken from the real thing. Detail both inside and out is really good, and evocative of the real thing.
Giacinto Consiglio Posted August 10, 2017 Thank you! Are you referring to a specific real life museum?

Brickviller V2 Posted August 11, 2017 Whoa! I really like this, not only is the archictecture of the building very nice but the interior is extremely well thought out. Like the coins behind glass, the information desk, the various kinds of collumns (even a corinthian version!). As a history buff of the Roman era myself I'm really happy to see all these details made in Lego. Great job and hope to see more from you!

There are doric, ionic and corinthian columns indeed!
Minifig Lecturer Posted August 11, 2017 This is great. Interesting how the bricks on their side to show the studs look very well in this building. Its a good size for a neo-classical style building and uses the planet semi-sphere proportionally very well. I particularly like the neatness of the crypt / tomb. Very well done. My only suggestion is not to use flash and only take photographs under a very bright light, the close ups with Macro on and the camera's Indoor setting selected. Kudos. Unfortunately it's the only way to take decent photos with my terrible phone. One day I'll buy a good camera to take excellent photos as yours in the forum... I've had the fortune to visit a number of museums from the US, UK, Europe including the Vatican. Amoungst others, and the creation you've made has a little taste of all of them. It's fabulous. I wish I had your eye for detail, and skills for building.

Agent 86 Posted August 14, 2017 That's beautiful - inside and out. But, particularly the incredibly detailed exterior.
