The good news is Lego’s already got us covered with Toy Story sets Jokes aside this is awesome and hopefully we get MoT sets with this and all the heroes. (Particularly John, Guy, Kendra and Soup Girl for me) We can’t even get a set with The Joker anymore. No way we’re getting Man of Tomorrow sets. Quote

It's better than that- the only way we could get a joker minifigure this year was by putting him in a batman suit. 1 minute ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Soup got nothing, so I fail to see how the sequel would fare any better At this point, even getting The Batman II sets is far from guaranteed! Presumably if soup was a massive success lego wouldn't want to miss out on the seuqel, but... no. There's always a discussion about whether or not it turned much of a profit it all, but regardless, it definitely wasn't a smash hit, especially not one on the level that would get lego to reverse course off the one movie. And on an anecdotal level my local retailers are stuffed with soup merch, which I don't think paints a very enticing picture for lego to make sets for the sequel. If supergirl surprises everyone and makes a bunch of money MAYBE they fast-track some MOT stuff, but... I mean, how likely is that? And of course the DCU Batman film doesn't seem to be releasing anytime soon. And I agree The Batman ll sets are NOT a guarantee, between the series' maturity and the fact that we basically only get nostalgia batmobiles by now I could see them just not doing anything. My optimism for next year is pretty much relegated to "maybe we'll get a cool batsuit variant in one of the Legendary Batmobile sets" Quote

Our punishment must be more severe. Quote

On that note, I do hope 2027 is the year we finally get a playscale Bat-Pod, Bat, and a Tom Hardy Bane minifigure. Technically you could knock all of that out within a single TDKR set. Quote
Graupensuppe Posted June 2 Posted June 2 With how popular ninja-themed sets and Asian architecture seem to be, I'm surprised that there has never been a set based on the League of Shadows headquarters and training scenes from Batman Begins. Quote

CloneCommando99 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 At least we’ll be able to make custom John Stewarts next year because of Pierre being in Starfighter. Quote

Very funny how they whiffed the biggest opportunity for a relaunch of this theme with the massive new game's release and people can't even get most of the playable characters in sets. Let alone the villains. Maybe they'll do a buildiable figure of the Chris O'Donnell kung fu laundry scene from Batman Forever next year On 6/2/2026 at 1:58 PM, Graupensuppe said: With how popular ninja-themed sets and Asian architecture seem to be, I'm surprised that there has never been a set based on the League of Shadows headquarters and training scenes from Batman Begins. BrickBob Studpants Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Pre-orders for the deluxe edition of the Switch 2 version of the game come with an exclusive retro Batman minifig, seemingly based on the first NES game! So that makes two exclusive recolours of the cowl piece this year! Awesome minifig, but I feel bad for everyone who already got the game Luckily, I haven‘t bought it yet and was about to, but good thing I waited!! Quote

Abbat's model in-game looks great, but he has a new molded armor piece, a cape that wouldn't fit with said armor piece (since lego just does rubber capes now), and arm printing, dual molded legs, etc, wheras Retro Game batman is pretty much a 1-1 from the digital model aside from changing the skin color underneath. Presumably Retro Game won out because of this, or was designed with that simplicity-to-become-a-fig in mind, neither of which would imply Abbat is coming. But if we are coping, maybe they'll do the Final Battle batsuit? It's the only one (Aside Retro Game, and we now know why that was) not based on an existing lego minifigure that doesn't feature stuff like arm and side leg printing. 2 hours ago, Renny The Spaceman said: I could be wrong but I swear it used to be these promo figures didn't have new recolours, when did that change? I just really want Abbat. It’s ended up being a peak comic book run while embracing all the jokes we and the community made about it before. Most interesting thing DC have done with Batsy’s mythos in years. The whole Absolute has just been amazing so far (except for Flash). So I just hope we do get Abbat at some point as he deserves the sets more than the Schumacher double duty. And if we’re really coping, the final battle suit kinda fits my description of the tournament suit from my Ninjago-ised DC wave ideas two years ago. Lego adapting my ideas confirmed?!!/s Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted June 4 Posted June 4 (edited) Probably worth posting the "8-bit" Batman minifigure for those who haven't seen it. It's maybe the most novel variant released yet (which is saying something). It might have been cool to see something like the Arkham Asylum or Bronze Age suit instead, but it should be an easy skip for most people. I do find the mix of the 8-bit prints on the torso and legs paired with the more rounded minifigure pieces and standard face weird, but the colors are neat. Edited June 4 by SoupOrFishOil Quote

cosmic Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Its funny I have been gearing up to log in and complain these past few weeks about the lack of a promotional figure to coincide with the release of this game and thank god I kept dragging my feet on posting because low and behold, we get the NES Batman pre order (?). I was meaning to say how Plastic Man was and honestly remains to be THE most exciting promotional figure for this theme and how I wish they'd try and match that for the release of this new Video Game title. For what its worth, NES Batman is nowhere near as exciting as Plastic Man, but it is better than nothing which is what we're all used to getting from this theme so at least there's that. I will say, if they're going to feed us scraps hopefully we can continue to get scraps through promotional figures. I remember 2013 when Lego gave us New 52 Martian Manhunter out of nowhere one month. If we can't get sets based off of this franchise, hopefully they take advantage of this route more. For example, Ted Kord, Atom or even Guy Garnder would be exciting figures to get in say a polybag, especially if it coincides with the preorder of a DC set. Fingers crossed we actually get something next year. Quote

But if Lego won’t even make the protagonist what chance do side characters have? (Though if they did make Guy I wonder if they’d do his bowl-cut or more modern haircut) 2027 Predictions £10 Bat-pod Bat Tumbler 1966 Batmobile UCS Bat-wing Quote
