DC Superheroes 2026 - Rumors & Discussion

Given that it seems like we aren't getting anything else for this year for DC. Given that we are getting MOT next year, what do you all think are the worst case, middle ground, and best case scenarios for a LEGO Man Of Tomorrow Tie In Set? 

I'd say:

Worst Case: Nothing at all 

Middle Ground: A Small 4+ Batman set that has Superman and Lex in it (basically a new version of Juniors Set 10724) 

Best Case Scenario: A Singular Set based off Man of Tomorrow featuring Superman, Lex, and Brainiac

Wakebricks on instagram has posted a picture of the newest Batman cowl in dark blue.

They’ve leaked some things in the past; but, they also posted that fake Superman 2025 minifigure leak last year. So the cowl may be a legitimate hint at something coming later in the year (maybe the previously rumored modular building for DC), but I’d take it with a grain of salt.

IIRC all his exclusive DC leaks are fake. He did a lot of superman ones (I believe even with set numbers and fake Krypto leaks) as well as a fake leak of the cancelled flash tracking set. 

That said, a dark blue cowl seems like a pretty reasonable move on lego's part, and could show up in anything from a polybag to a D2C batmobile.

I will also say I'd be shocked if they were making a Daily Planet or something and decided to use some of a very limited budget on recoloring batman's cowl. (Plus, I'm pretty sure our "D2C figure budget", so to speak, was used on the Helicarrier. Those figures are so detailed and have so many new prints, so even though the total count is a lot lower than the modulars, I think the number of new prints is the same, if not more, than some of them.)

Yeah absolutely, I can’t take wake seriously after all that fake Superman nonsense. A new Blue Batman would be very cool. There does seem to be a massive improvement this year for minfigs across Superheroes. The Batmen look great and a lot of the Marvel minifigs in sets have more printing like arm printing for Iron man etc.. So maybe there’s still a chance for a Modular and LEGO have just put more effort/budget in the figs

I would ask what happens in DC right now. Is there even coming any Batman movies? For LEGO it is super easy to make sets when there is content. For example Super Mario Galaxy movie.

AND for some reason LEGO Batman game will not get any sets at all...

Maybe not the best example since there are no tie-in sets for that movie

The Batman Part 2 is slated for 2027.

Tbf only the gold versions of those Batmobiles are can be unlocked with those codes.

I’ve realised that if LotDK pulls from all Batman media, origin variations and Gotham lore, there’s a non-zero chance we get an Alan Scott appearance or reference as Gotham’s original hero.

 

Recently bought the Geoff Johns Green Lantern Rebirth Compendium. It’s now my bible. Highly recommend purchasing.

Which means I’ve now also read Rann-Thanagar War, Guy Gardner: Collateral Damage, GLC: Recharge and Ion. 

Guy Gardner has now replaced Jessica Cruz in my human GL ranking. As it stands it’s currently:

6. Alan Scott/ Jo Mullein/ Simon Baz

In an ideal world the top 4 would be the new 4 Corpsmen.

There's two movies allegedly in the works. 
The Batman Part ll has been in production hell for... four years.. but the good news is it does seem like they've actually cast people now and it might start filming soon.

There's some Gunnverse Batman movie that's supposed to be about him and Damian, but honestly I don't think that movie is even remotely ready. If Supergirl and/or MoT can do really well, maybe they put it back into production, but I kind of doubt it's being worked on at any serious level at the moment. I know the implication was they'd just be making both, but I don't think it was ever particularly likely we got two unrelated batman movies in the same year or so. The general audience can understand the concept of multiple universes, but I think multiple live-action batman movies in that short a timeframe probably saturates the market a little more than they'd probably want to.

There was a time when Christopher Nolan was directing Bat... now we have this 1 guy who is probably destroying DC. They try to repeat Marvel success with similar rubbish. LEGO do something for this theme.

I guess the technic batmobile (Tumbler, right?) is something. I won't buy it, but I'm sure it'll be an impressively built model.

It is somewhat disappointing how my hopes for the theme tend to drop lower and lower each year. From wanting sets with specific heroes, to "just put some leagures in the Batman sets", to "just put someone besides batman and joker in the batman sets", to "Just add robin or joker in the batmobile sets". While the polybag is excellent, I don't know how we got in the elseworld where a polybag- no matter it's quality- is more interesting than the system sets. How is it the only one that comes with a minifigure other than a batman suit? How is it the only one with a play feature? The existence of the polybag implies lego does believe there is at least some market of kids interested in batman, so why are they not being given a play experience? Where are the villains for Batman to catch?

it's been poor year with set releases. the ones that are out are great.  they have the game,  2pl0 years, Supergirl   Lanterns. the content is there.

21 sets? (2026) AND 40 sets in my local store. All marvel... MAYBE I have to buy some of them and customise to fit Gotham City.

Yeah, this would‘ve been awesome! Judging by the trailers, the set potential wouldn‘t have been exactly outstanding, but a small handful of sets easily could‘ve been realised  At this point, I‘d even gladly accept a buildable Krypto as our only tie-in set, just ANYTHING

I wonder what it‘ll take for future DCU movies to get sets… I guess we‘ll know next year. If MoT also stands there empty-handed, we‘ll be stuck with Batmobiles until the heat death of the universe.

Got bored so I made a meme which pretty much shows why the Batmid obsessed Lego don’t make Goat Lantern sets.

 

Time to do the delusional dance again and believe that 2027 will be the year of the GL mech.

What does it say you mean?! MOT is releasing next year. And to commemorate it Lego will release 2 whole Batmobiles. One might even be based on the comics!! Isn’t that enough?!!
