Scarilian Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Curious how the sets will look, but probably going to hold off getting any of them. Doctor Doom is in a cheap set in January (67003) so may just get that. Will wait until we get to see a Wave 2 and/or first wave of Secret Wars sets to see if characters get iconic costumes in those. Should also give enough time for the Sentinel to be on sale if the Sentinel build is good enough to get. I think I'm ready for more legacy/epic moments sets from prior films or perhaps a return to comic-inspired stuff would be fun. Glad January is giving us some of the missing Raimi stuff people have been asking for. 2 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: Doomsday trailer is out. I'm not going to lie, I felt nothing. BoyLego Posted July 20 Posted July 20 There’s some drawings of the sets out. Hard to tell what they’ll be like but some things we can glean: dual molded legs for shirtless Thing (barefoot, not boots). Cyclops appears to have a molded visor (not a guarantee though). No stretch arms for Reed, possibly long legs but it’s very hard to tell and I’m leaning on no. Nightcrawler has a cutlass and it looks like grey hair. That’s about all the interesting things I can make out. Avengerz tower looks surprisingly good for how short it is, quinjet looks like a quinjet and sentinel looks like a sentinel. Quote

I generally fully agree, with the caveat that for both the movie and avengers tower set, the thunderbolts will make me buy something I should know better than to purchase. And now we have sketches. My thoughts: Half measure not-X-Jet: Why is cyclops piloting the Quinjet, and not ace pilot Ben Grimm? The ship looks fine, I'm sure it'll be a fun jet build. Terrible figure selection though. Second consecutive time that Sam Wilson shows up in an underwhelming jet set with four minifigures. I'll bricklink Cyclops at some point but have no other interest. Half measure bionicle: This is the galactus set with two extra figs and a base allegedly causing a $40 markup. I was holding out hope that the $100 price point implied more figures, but nope. No more figures. And we can tell from the pieces this is the fairly standard construction figure size. Second consecutive time Reed appears with longer legs instead of his stretchy arms. I will not be buying this. 4/6 measure thunderbolts: I will buy this set, because I love the thunderbolts. I have written a full story treatment for three seasons of a thunderbolts TV show. I've made a whole wave of MOC sets for the thunderbolts. I own a John Walker suit. All that is to say... why couldn't they just give us all the thunderbolts in this? It's $110, it's OK for it to have 8 minifigures. Second consecutive time a character with flag forward patches on his shoulders is left out of the set wave for a marvel movie he's in. I shouldn't buy this, but I will day 1. My version was a lot taller and consequently wouldn't have fit at that $110 price point, I was wondering what they would do for it. It seems to be stockier than I'd have liked for something that is at the end of the day a tower, but I like the greebling on the walls of the black spires, it helps make them look less bland. I can't really tell what's fully going on with it and will be interested in seeing the final build. Edited July 20 by Mandalorianknight Quote

You might not get lucky with something like One Piece where you can get the whole crew and their ship in one set, but they usually have the whole team included in the wave in one set or another. But with Doomsday, every team is missing at least one member and sometimes most of the team. I did a more concrete one earlier, but to recap: F4 missing Sue, X-men missing Prof X and Gambit, Samvengers missing everybody but Sam, and of course the bolts missing Ava and John. (And no wakandans despite Namor featuring pretty prominently in this trailer. And no T-shirt Steve.) Quote

Especially with Sue missing it makes me feel like there's (or at least there should be) a secret fourth playset, hopefully one in the lower ranges too. I mean it has happened before that a set from a wave is leaked later, often if they're some kind of exclusive. I think a £10 - £45 set with some of the following: Sue, Shang, Shuri, Sjohn, Sava, Sgambit, Sm'Baku. Like Endgame, for example, is as a whole movie pretty lackluster in terms of plot and story but it does have a lot of fun moments, the whole is just less than the sum of it's parts there and I'm prepared for it to be like that. Like it's not high art (which superheroes can be, I'm not saying that) abs it doesn't have to be but it should hopefully still be fun. Like this might just seem like I have low standards but I think sometimes as movie being good is not a prerequisite of it being fun. Though I still kinda hate the Tony Doom idea, it's blatantly a marketing choice not a storytelling one, like they knew this would generate interest from certain groups so they worked backwards from there. Like I know movies exist to make money but sometimes I wish they didn't and art could just be art ( ironic considering I said the film isn't high art anyway and that it didn't need to be). But blatant cash grabbiness aside I might admit to being slightly hyped. On 6/4/2026 at 9:03 AM, CloneCommando99 said: Quite the neighsayer aren’t you. But we all are I guess. I reckon Thor should have gone in the Quinjet so the traditional Avenger vehicle has a traditional Avenger. The thing about deadpool and wolverine was that the cameos didn't feel like the point, and it didn't feel desperate. Doomsday feels like they're worried about their lack of a coherent basis and are just throwing every actor they could get who's worn a cape into the mix and hoping enough people are attached to 1 of the 27 heroes that they get a ticket. (It worked on me. I can't not watch the Thunderbolts' second outing, even if they'll probably just be made fun of the whole time and then get unceremoniously killed off. I can already see it- there's going to be a joke where Sentry does something cool and everyone's like "dude, why are you hanging out with these guys?") Now that we've seen in the trailer more about who's where, this should have been the setup of each set: X-Jet: Thing, Sue Storm, Steve Rogers, Shuri, Namor, Remove Cyclops and SamCap, moving them to another set. Also remove doom but you don't even need to move him he's in everything else. Probably helps sales to keep him in the more expensive sets. Sentinal Battle: Magneto, Thor, Doom, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Mr. Fantastic, Gambit, Cyclops, Shang-Chi, SamCap New Avengers Tower/Sentry Watchtower: Sentry, Red Guardian, Bucky, Yelena, Doom, Human torch, John Walker, Ghost. Now, I am adding like 7 total minifigures, but it's mostly small additions- the $60 set can have 5, the $110 one can have 8. The big change is there's now 10 figs in the sentinal battle, but IT SHOULD HAVE 10 FIGS. ALL THE $100+ EPIC MOMENTS SETS HAVE A BUNCH OF FIGS. 1 hour ago, Agent Kallus said: Especially with Sue missing it makes me feel like there's (or at least there should be) a secret fourth playset, hopefully one in the lower ranges too. Snamor was weirdly prominent in this trailer, so maybe him too. It is funny that most of the positive discourse online is about Gambit, who's just not present. I suppose for scompletness I'll also point out Sprofessor S and Sfalcon ll are missing, though I don't think anyone is particularly sad. Honestly John might be the single most notable missing hero: Shang-Chi and Shuri are readily availible very cheap online in their doomsday costumes. It's better if they're on shelves but since we're triaging, they make sense to leave out. They'd just be the existing figs. Sue, M'Baku, Professor X, Steve Rogers, and Falcon ll are all in outfits that are either very close to the ones that are currently on shelves or fairly easy to kitbash in the professor or Steve's case. Again, preferable to get them on shelves, but at least the characters are out there. (Also, M'baku and Falcon ll don't need to be in these sets. They're very much sidekicks/ancillary to solo characters.) Namor, Ghost and Gambit are all close, and big issues- Namor seems very prominent in this movie's marketing and is in a very different costume than his sets, Gambit is a fan-favorite who you can currently only get in a $300+ set, and Ghost's previous costume is completely different from her New Avenger one- but minifigures of the characters do at least exist. John Walker is the only Doomsday hero who has never had a minifigure before. And he is also one of the more difficult ones to do a purist custom of- there are no torsos that are even close, and your only options for the helmet are a gunmetal ultron helmet or one with a big venomized A on it. Kaijumeister Posted July 21 Author Posted July 21 (edited) Yeah I’m finding the Doomsday poster to be cooler than the trailer so far. But those set sketches look pretty decent. Avengerz Tower seems to be quite a solid set, the Quinjet seems fairly unique at least, and I’ll reserve my thoughts for the Sentinel Battle until the official images because it reminds me too much of the buildable BND spidey. Not giving Reed his stretchy arms is an absolute joke at this point though. I wonder if we can expect any other new minifigure moulds. A hair / visor piece for Cyclops would be so cool and tip the Quinjet into a must-buy for me. Plus as new moulds go, we haven’t had a single new minifigure part this year in Marvel except for Doom’s hood, but then again this theme doesn’t really get that many new parts to begin with. Edited July 21 by Kaijumeister Quote
Agent Kallus Posted July 21 Posted July 21 The great thing nowadays is that even if I don't get the set, they might still put some of them in the magazine. I've no interest in the jet set ( be it quin or X) but the Cyclops and Thing minifigs sound cool. Though figs just don't seem to come to it ... like Ms Marvel :( Talking about Cyclops do we think there might be a chance that the appearance of the Fox X-Men in the Doomsday sets might lead to them making 2000s X-men sets eventually like the new Tobey Spidey sets after his No way home set appearance? Yeah, exactly, the reason I consider John the biggest missing fig is because he's never had a figure before. Everyone else has had something. If a kid sees doomsday and wants a Sue fig she is on shelves in a mostly accurate outfit. A kid (or grown manchild) wants a John Walker minifig, out of luck. Shang Chi and BP Shuri are both pretty cheap online- there's a Shang in the UK right now for literally under $1.5 on bricklink, and most are $2-3. At the end of the day, you can throw Wolverine in Magneto into stuff and it'd probably do just fine. It's mentioned once or twice. He's of course the pilot in the mission that gets them their powers, but I believe he also pilots their ship in the Galactus meeting. Whenever I mention him not being the pilot, though, I'm just being facetious- the real reason the pilot is cyclops is because Sam and Thing both have extensions to their minifig that would prevent them from fitting in the cockpit. I don't actually blame lego for that. Apparently. Gambit is like the one character I've (until your comment) only seen people being positive about, and even with the memes that are popping up from the trailer, all of them but the "Doom stops stormbreaker with two fingers" one are just the bits of the trailer Gambit's in- him yeeting himself off the balcony of the mansion and slamming down in front of the avengers, him holding the card in front of his face with the "don't try it" expression, etc. I don't think I've seen ANYTHING about wanda (again until your comment), or asking about missing characters from the trailer at all- most character-based discourse I've heard either in real life or online has either been people hyped to see Thor, Gambit, and Shang-Chi (the latter of which surprised me but I suppose he was a fun character), or people complaining there are too MANY characters and most of them will probably just show up, quip, and leave. I would say Raimi and TASM are both more likely just off being spider-mans, but yeah, X-men are more likely than any of the old failed movies or mature stuff like Blade/Punisher/Daredevil. Though I think at this point it is becoming clearer and clearer that the next X-mansion we get, while I guess technically a fox one, will be a Doomsday mansion. I don't know. I'm not exceedingly familiar with one piece, but I think it makes sense for the set with the entire crew to be their ship, presuming it's the quinjet/falcon/etc of that franchise. Assuming each set also needs adversaries and most sets would presumably need enemies and the main protagonist, I don't think it's crazy that one of the five only comes in some of the more expensive sets in the first wave- it looks like he's in cheaper sets now, though. Given we know their January (and I believe their whole 1HY) setup, unfortunately I don't think their plan includes a doomsday wave 2 in the near future, aside from the Thor Vs Doom mech set with the female doom-armored character. I also imagine that John and Ghost were simply left behind- if anyone here is there "break glass in case of emergency", it'd be Gambit. I'd love to be wrong though. Spoiler (Tower splits in two so if you want to display it alongside the mini-modular system, it'd be the same depth.) That would be awesome, but I doubt it. I think TASM 2 unfortunately is the only one there I could really see us getting a set for- ironic, considering it's widely considered the worst of those movies, but it's still spider-man and has the obvious epic moments slam dunk of an epic moments set for the final shot of the movie. About wanda: Spoiler Marvel seems to have hedged their bets with a few of the actors/actresses in terms of if they can/how expensive it would be to get them. We pretty reliably know at this point that Strange and Wanda are both in Doom's Cabal of masked allies, but it's unclear if they ever take their masks off. What's funny is unlike many of the heroes in the trailer, it sounds like we actually do have a lego Wanda coming with that "female doom" minifigure in the january mech battle. Quote

How many of them are there? I thought the new one had wings?!? - that woman from the one not-terrible Ant-Man movie who could go through walls, wasn't she evil or something? - who even is that? WHO SHOWED YOU THAT MOVIE? - that dude from Black Panther who always challenged people for the throne, but only succeeded once nobody cared any more Don't get me wrong, I love John Walker, and Shang-Chi was by no means the worst of Marvel's recent movies, and Ava's more interesting than at least half the people on that poster, but the omissions make sense. - The Wakanda Forever sets have been shelfwarmers so why would LEGO bank on Shuri or M'Baku. Or Namor for that matter. - Yelena and Bob were the main focus of Thunderbolts and while Alexei isn't more imporrant than Walker, he's visually striking and unlike Walker won't confuse anyone. Meanwhile Ava barely even figured in the movie (apart from the incinerator scene). - Shang-chi has never interacted with the Avengers. Neither has Gambit. - Sue is the one character who really should be there. But unfortunatel, LEGO and/or Marvel shortchanging women is nothing new. Again, I guess Johnny would be more popular with kids and Reed's the leader and the Thing is visually striking. But you can't tell me that adding one fig somewhere - who you already have in production and who's the only female member of her team in a franchise with already very poor female representation - would have broken the budget. thebricksbear Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Man this thread is always a joy, lol. These sets look great. This is probably the best single MCU wave of sets we've had in YEARS, even before Endgame. It sucks not getting Walker or a new Sue or Shang Chi, but the hype around this movie isn't really going to be those characters. The positives: Avengers Tower for the mini-modular Marvel city builders Doom The first affordable Quinjet ever Sentry and Red Guardian Nightcrawler An affordable Sentinel Flame-On Johnny and classic Thing There WILL be follow up sets, rest assured. We've gotten Endgame Final Battle sets for like 5 years, lol. Remember that Secret Wars is next year and this is not, by far, the last opportunity to get these characters. Regarding the trailer itself, I still don't like Tony-Doom or the immediate reversal of Steve's exit, but fans don't have any room to complain. We trashed everything Marvel tried after Endgame and their last resort was this. I have no doubt it'll be good, but I'm ready to let the Fox-men go and get MCU Xmen, and to see the Thunderbolts be Thunderbolts and let Sam actually create an Avengers team. Quote
Lego Nostalgia Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Is it possible for another set to be announced on the 25th that we don't know about ? 3 playsets for Doomsday sounds odd, surely there's 1 more playset that is secret Quote
Agent Kallus Posted July 21 Posted July 21 18 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: This was discussed very passionately a few pages ago but to summarize: Some people think that the films were very important to superhero history and would sell well. At the end of the day, you can throw Wolverine in Magneto into stuff and it'd probably do just fine. Some people think that they aren't as beloved as the raimi figs, and between the lack of set material, suits being just black leather, and fact that we barely get any X-men sets in general... they'd probably just go with the more colorful versions from the comics or 90s show if they felt inclined to. Ah, that's makes sense, I'm afraid I wasn't gonna read back through every page that I've been inactive for but its a discussion that was bound to come up I suppose. As a 1999 baby I grew up with those films so I'd like to see them get some love, but I suppose the most iconic things have already been done in some other form recently like the X-Jet, Mansion, Cerebro and even a different statue of liberty battle. Whole the suits are drab it'd still be cool to get them at some point. Two controversial X-Men opinions coming up. 1 - the X-Men are cooler than the Avengers. And 2 - I don't give a megabluck about the 90s show. I dunno, I tried to get into it a few times, even before the news of the revival/continuation, it just hasn't aged well, and yet plenty of other similar shows don't have that problem for me like classic Doctor Who, or the DCAU. I do wish Disney had made a totally new show instead. However, despite my total disinterest in X-Men TAS, I do still like the sets based on it, because it's still the same characters and the designs are very much comic book anyway. 14 hours ago, JeanGreyForever said: I think it's not unlikely although maybe not necessarily likely either. They're the most likely to get any sets from the non-MCU films. I do see Marvel make merch for the original FoX-Men trilogy every so often, which isn't the case for other films from that era (Blade, Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Punisher, TASM). Such as action figures or Funko Pops which got a whole wave on the original trilogy. So there's clearly a market. When the X-Mansion retires, I wonder if they might ever consider remaking it as a new set but specifically based on the movies. It's significantly different enough, particularly the Cerebro chamber, and they could focus more on the underground levels. Especially if it's not designed as a modular set. Yeah once the there has been some time since the more recent X-Men releases it'd make sense to do the movie versions. Though even if Fox X-Men sets aren't in the future I just hope we get some more characters regardless of which versions we get of them. 10 hours ago, brickbride said: So he was a no-Thing character? I think treating 'the fans' as a monolith is a mistake. I for one quite enjoyed a fair few of the post endgame projects, especially She-Hulk, Loki and The Marvels. I do see a lot of negativity online these days and I disagree with a lot of it, but for something that partially sells itself on being a connected universe, this most recent phase has been the least interconnected. I get that things like Kang were particularly out of the writers hands but I think doubts only natural. Though I do agree with you about a lot of what you are saying. I love the OG X-Men movies but I do think trying to go about tying them into the MCU was an odd choice, narrative wise at least, especially doing it before establishing thier MCU counterparts ( though then again no actor is immortal). Yet I do find myself wanting to see them now I know they are coming, so d they've already gone down this path I hope they bring in some more of them for the next part, Storm's omission is particularly egregious, and younger gen like Iceman and Rogue shouldn't be neglected either. Beast is already pretty much confirmed to show up somewhere thanks to the marvels. 13 minutes ago, Lego Nostalgia said: Is it possible for another set to be announced on the 25th that we don't know about ? 3 playsets for Doomsday sounds odd, surely there's 1 more playset that is secret Especially with the whole 3 of the fantastic 4 thing, I'm still holding out a silver of hope. I know they're bound to release a follow up wave later anyway but still it feels possible. I mean it's very rare we get a leak that gives us all the info at once anyway. 19 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: Shang Chi and BP Shuri are both pretty cheap online- there's a Shang in the UK right now for literally under $1.5 on bricklink, and most are $2-3. BP Shuri's not much more expensive. I'll have to look into it, though I suppose they might come in a set later that I might pick up anyway. My biggest problem with bricklink is one fig or part or set or whatever might seem cheap but then you've got to think about postage, and then you think since I'm getting this from this seller with this postage I might as well see what else they have and then all of a sudden the cart is pushing triple digits for things that seem to have okay prices on their own but is an insane price for the basket as a whole... 12 hours ago, brickbride said: YMMV but I'd want the crew more than I'd want the ship, and I think that EUR 130 is an absurd price to pay just so you can get five figs. You couldn't have bought several snaller sets in order to get them either - the only other set with crew member Sanji in it at the time was even more expensive. Honestly in some ways the ship is part of the crew... Lame excuse for it though. As the biggest bad of season one it definitely could've included Arlong at very least. It is the only One Price set I have though cause it died give you a pretty complete package at least for the season one LA crew (and it was discounted at Smyths). 6 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: That would be awesome, but I doubt it. I think TASM 2 unfortunately is the only one there I could really see us getting a set for- ironic, considering it's widely considered the worst of those movies, but it's still spider-man and has the obvious epic moments slam dunk of an epic moments set for the final shot of the movie. Probably not gonna happen as you say but even ignoring the OG trilogy (that I pretend is Duology sometimes...) a first class sub set with Emma, Beast, Erik, Raven, Azezal and Kevin Bacon would go hard as diamond. How many of them are there? I thought the new one had wings?!? - that woman from the one not-terrible Ant-Man movie who could go through walls, wasn't she evil or something? - who even is that? Dad, that's Gambit from D&W. Wait, how do you know that? But you can't tell me that adding one fig somewhere - who you already have in production and who's the only female member of her team in a franchise with already very poor female representation - would have broken the budget. I don't think this really works. You can make almost anyone sound bad- Reed, the least colorful and least interesting member of the F4 Some guy with weird glasses A blue lady? Who is this? A blue gentleman? Why does he have a cutlass, is he a pirate? What do you mean, "no but sometimes he's spider-man" Why is captain america red? This is the second movie now where Black Widow refused to dye her hair red Why does Captain America have wings? Oh, cool, Thor. I like him. I also feel like Mystique being included over gambit and some of the others pokes a bit of a hole in the idea that lego marvel is in any way deliberately shortchanging the female characters. Gambit and Shang-Chi both could have been in that set instead and Gambit would have been a much bigger draw. (Plus, I mean, anybody could be mystique) 5 hours ago, thebricksbear said: but fans don't have any room to complain. We trashed everything Marvel tried after Endgame and their last resort was this. What? Because they made stuff we didn't like, we can't complain that they made Doomsday? A lot of the stuff they ended up changing, like Kang, wasn't even unpopular. They just learn the wrong lessons from stuff. The returns are a good example- I don't think many were clamoring for Regular Steve or RDoomJ before those announcements were made. Some people are going to be happy just to see those faces again, but even if you wanted Cap and Tony back... wouldn't you want Cap and Tony back? FalconCap is another example. They KNOW Falconcap was not working. There are two possible ways to solve this: 1. Actually build up his avengers team and give him some people to bounce off to try and get the audience on board. 2. Let Steve come back as Captain America. But they end up doing neither- Falconcap's team appears to have assembled entirely offscreen, but they won't let Steve take the shield back up or even just carry another alongside Sam like they do in the comics. You didn't fix Sam, but you didn't bring Steve back fully either. We've got a Cap people don't seem to like particularly much and a Steve that doesn't get to be Cap, and in the end it's just half measures. 13 minutes ago, Lego Nostalgia said: Is it possible for another set to be announced on the 25th that we don't know about ? 3 playsets for Doomsday sounds odd, surely there's 1 more playset that is secret We'd know at least a set number, I think. As much as I'd love to rationalize that lego just had enhanced secrecy on the Steve set since Marvel apparently considered him the stinger for the trailer (Did everyone- marvel included- forget they did a Steve-specific doomsday trailer? I don't get why he was the stinger), we'd know SOMETHING by now. The worst part is that they really are only about 1 set behind. If they did a set that was Steve, Sue, John, Ghost, Gambit, Shang-Chi, they'd have pretty much everyone we needed. 1 minute ago, Agent Kallus said: However, despite my total disinterest in X-Men TAS, I do still like the sets based on it, because it's still the same characters and the designs are very much comic book anyway. I think aside from more Doomsday/MCU stuff, the best chance for the X-men is some Epic Moments sets based on the 90s stuff. Or Rivals, if we can get the War Crime Shark set to sell well. I hear this and I just don't get it. Putting aside that marvel's been inconsistent in terms of whether or not they consider recasting a dead actor's role disrespectful, Johnathan Majors didn't die, he just committed a crime and got arrested. He wasn't even particularly good- he did well as HWR and Timely, but even putting aside the quantumania writing he just wasn't a good Kang. There's no reason they couldn't have just recast him and continued with the Kang stuff. That's all to say, I think marvel used Major's crime as an excuse to shift gears from an already failing phase and break the RDJ glass in case of emergency. I refuse to believe that they didn't recast kang out of respect for majors, or because they thought it would be confusing to audiences who just saw 3 different spider-man faces if the blue-faced time travel guy suddenly had a different face. 6 minutes ago, Agent Kallus said: Would be cool. Scarilian Posted July 21 Posted July 21 (edited) Got a knock-off New Goblin and he's proudly displayed alongside Spider-man fighting Sandman and Venom. I hope Lego eventually does a version as would prefer official figures, but for now it's epic seeing them together. Just waiting on the official Symbiote outfit, MJ and Green Goblin in January and that'll be a fairly complete Raimi collection to display. Still wouldn’t mind them doing a Doc Ock Hideout remake as would love to see that design updated. 6 hours ago, thebricksbear said: It sucks not getting Walker or a new Sue or Shang Chi, but the hype around this movie isn't really going to be those characters. I reluctantly agree with John Walker not being treated as 'hype' as the trailers make no attempt to get anyone hyped by his inclusion, despite him personally being a character I care more about than the rest of the Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four or Wakandans. Sue & Shang Chi however are meant to be the hype, they are given key moments in the trailer. Sue Vs Namor and Shang Chi Vs Gambit are supposed to be big hype moment of the trailer. 6 hours ago, thebricksbear said: The positives -snip- I think it's mostly that the Lego Marvel media sets have a symbiotic relationship to the movies they adapt from, so peoples drive to get the sets or figures is tied to how those movies are perceived. 6 hours ago, thebricksbear said: There WILL be follow up sets, rest assured. We've gotten Endgame Final Battle sets for like 5 years, lol. Remember that Secret Wars is next year and this is not, by far, the last opportunity to get these characters. If we don't get a Wave 2 of Doomsday sets before Secret Wars we could be in a similar situation where Secret Wars gets the focus in Lego sets moving forward. Even 7 years later we still are missing Hawkeye's Ronin and updated 'Thanos with Helmet' from Avengers: Endgame. At some stage they still need to go back and update the Infinity War Thanos also. So while the door on the characters is never closed, it could be that we'll be left waiting years again for certain characters. We still don't have characters from movies released in 2013 for instance and a majority of Phase 4-6 is missing the antagonists if the media even got a set at all. 7 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: PLEASE! I'm so desperate that I made a number of my own (in spoiler for space- I know, how could we be running out of space, this building thread is huge!) Reveal hidden contents (Tower splits in two so if you want to display it alongside the mini-modular system, it'd be the same depth.) Those look pretty cool and accurate to what I remember of the film. I'd sorta imagine an Epic Moments set would just be an inspired-by Void fight but with the selection of characters I mentioned: Yelena, John Walker, Ghost and Void (Maybe throwing Bob in also). If Thunderbolts got a legacy set, and given Ant-Man & Torres have repeated outfits and Steve is just his regular head with a generic black torso they could be skipped, then we're only left with around 8 (?) figures from the concept art poster they'd need to do. Edit: Though granted, the concept art poster is not the full cast, it does contain the characters most likely to have been shown to Lego. 55 minutes ago, Lego Nostalgia said: Is it possible for another set to be announced on the 25th that we don't know about ? 3 playsets for Doomsday sounds odd, surely there's 1 more playset that is secret 19 minutes ago, Mandalorianknight said: We'd know at least a set number, I think. With that said, it's definitely not all there is for Avengers: Doomsday. At minimum we know we are getting at least one set in January 2027 featuring Thor, Doctor Doom and an additional rumoured figure - the set number is 67003. My expectation is that any big spoiler sets would not release until March 2027 at the earliest. Releasing them in January would risk them leaking before the movie, which Disney would probably not be pleased about, while March is around the time the movie should be releasing on streaming and physical media. I think we'll get a Final Battle set, probably a playset or modular Doctor Doom Castle (For either Doomsday or Secret Wars) and likely a Wakanda set. Not sure if we'll get them all next year, but those feel the most likely options to go with. Edited July 21 by Scarilian Quote
