  1. Can I just say thanks to @Mandalorianknight for using the spoiler tag and it would be great if people replying to them could remember to do the same. Even rumours can spoil a movie for those wishing to go in without knowing anything.
  2. Wow, I was so wrong, was not expecting it to be so different. It looks great but I think I actually prefer the comic version, hoping that comes in a mech or magazine so I can get it cheap. I will definitely try and get some of that shoulder armour though as it really helps to balance the big hood.
  3. I'm sure they'll squeeze in a hulk-buster or 3
  4. I was thinking that torso could be used to make a cool custom spider-variant, not sure who though
  5. Lego are really trolling us with releasing blue/white dual moulded legs that are not quite the right shade of blue for fantastic four. First the Cute Witch in the cmf and now this cyclist in the June BAM wave
  6. Spoilers for Daredevil Born Again Season 2 final episode plus non-spoiler conjecture about Brand New Day: I’m actively avoiding leaks and spoilers for Brand New Day so if you have any that relate to my theory please use spoiler tags.
  7. I'd say the head and legs look close enough to what we have seen of MCU Doom to make me think thats what we are getting, but I would be shocked if we don't get a different torso. The only reason I could seem them changing the legs is if they want to go with a darker green.
  8. That new Chopper body from One Piece could be interesting for Rocket
  9. That Scorpion tail looks very different to the leaked promo art we’ve been seeing. I wonder if that’s an iteration thing or if the leaks were fake? Hoping it’s the version Lego adapt as I don’t really like the gappy design we’ve seen previously.
  10. I also rewatched it last night and still love it. It wears its comic bookishness on its sleeve and doesn’t try to be too grounded like a lot of mcu films (not that I’m an mcu hater like some on this forum). On the rewatch the Minifig Ben made a lot more sense to me, some kind of shoulder piece like for the new rhino fig would have been nice but he kinda works as is. My biggest complaint is still the lack of dual molded legs for all of the figures. I was hoping we might get some in the right colours for that new animal costume cmf but no luck sadly.
  11. Marvel Zombies was fun! Nice to finally see some of the current heroes interacting. I still think the ‘What If’ art style is cursed but the tone felt a lot more right than in the stand alone zombies episode. I know they won’t but could make for a fun CMF, I’m kinda tempted to pick up a zombie cap now.
  12. In my opinion this is more likely to be one of two things, as he has proven himself to be very bad at keeping secrets in the past. Either A, these are special measures they have taken specifically for him so he can’t accidentally leak as much or B, he’s had a bit of a telling off and his new strategy in interviews is to pretend he doesn’t know anything. If you believe everything actors say in interviews then Andrew Garfield isn’t in No Way Home.
  13. I loved the Spiderverse movies (Into more so than Across) and I do think these are good representations of the characters, but they’re all a bit too niche for my collection. This will be the first Marvel CMF where I don’t get a single fig (I am slightly tempted by the werewolf as a novelty). Its funny because if they’d gone X-men ‘97 it would probably have been the first series where I got every fig. Not complaining though, happy for those who will be getting these.
  14. Really loved the movie, felt like it came straight out of the comics. Might even be my favourite comic-book movie. I really hope we can get better minifigs for these characters in the future. Also praying the costumes don’t get the MCU treatment in doomsday as they are perfect right now.
  15. I wouldn’t be surprised if the new Brickverse approach changes this though. Before they had to wait for a comic based set to sneak them in, now they can just put a comic-based version of any character into any set and they don’t have to worry about the branding on the box. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if this (and in particular the Deadpool conundrum) is the main reason for Brickverse.
  16. Something like this would be so great, I even think forget the book nook part just make it a display set. Fully comic book costumed figs. Bonus points if the panels can be reconfigured for different shaped displays. Onomatopoeia would need to include ‘thwip’ ‘snikt’ and ‘bamf’ Speech bubbles could be cool too.
  17. I wonder if something could be done with the Hagrid torso and arms. I’ve never actually seen them in person so don’t know how the legs connect but could you maybe trim it down so it’s not as tall? A bit extreme maybe but it does come in medium nougat.
  18. Since they got burned with the Eternals wave I would say.
  19. How is it that a Star Wars GWP can get arm printing and dual-molded legs when the debut of Marvels first family can’t?! Make it make sense
  20. It seems to me like they have had to go out of their way to make sure the characters can be played with in ‘powers-off mode’. This explains flame-off Johnny, detachable stilt legs instead of avatar arms and legs for reed and no see-through parts for Sue. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a decision that has come from Marvel. I don't mindthe idea of a Minifig thing but the big hands don’t work at all. Ideal would be a new Midifig piece like Axl but I can understand them not having the budget for a new mold like that. In my opinion the best cheap option would have been the Paz Vizsla armour with a new print but Lego seem determined not to use that piece for Marvel for some reason. Reeds legs are beyond a joke but again this might be out of their hands a bit. His face is ok but I agree with someone I saw saying the beard is too prominent. Not giving him the dr strange hair is a bizarre choice. I don’t mind Johnny being flame-off but the face does not look like Joseph Quinn at all. If they are going to cheap out and not give us power blast flames for him, they shouldn’t cheat the box art to make the feet flames look more impressive than they are. Sue is probably the best of the 4. The re-used torsos don’t bother me at all but not including dual-molded or even printed legs is by far the biggest miss of the whole set for me. As others have pointed out, constraction figures usually go for around $30 which means we are paying $7.50 per figure. They should really all be of cmf standard but as usual Lego has failed to grasp that the big draw of superhero sets is the characters.
  21. Your desire for more location based sets is completely valid and one I share. I would suggest that the fact Lego used to make more location based sets and are now making more cars and mechs tells us that over the years they have learned that cars and mechs sell better with their target demo than locations do. As much as I despise capitalism that’s just how it works. We can definitely discuss what we would like to see more of, but I don’t think we can claim to know better than LEGO what kids (parents) will buy more of.
  22. Some great points being made about Marvel sets being creatively limited by trying to represent what’s seen on screen. To anyone complaining about repetition, try to remember LEGO superheroes are toys, not collectibles. You need to look at a theme like City and ask why do they release a new fire engine, police car, ambulance etc. every couple of years? Well it’s because there’s always new kids reaching the age where they want those things and why shouldn’t they get their version? Superheroes is very much a theme still aimed at the kids market (as opposed to something like icons or botanicals which is aimed at adult collectors). Whilst we are starting to see the odd diorama aimed at collectors, the theme as a whole isn’t designed around people collecting every set they release. As an adult collector I do wish they would make better quality figures on a theme where the characters are the main draw. I also understand that they spend far more than I earn in a year on market research which tells them they don’t need to. It’s a shame but it’s all just part of collecting a theme that isn’t really aimed at me. A final note before I get called a shill, the overall decline in quality (poor colour matching, more visible mold marks) whilst maintaining the high price point is really not acceptable. I don’t have a problem with them charging more for a premium product but it really is starting to feel less and less premium. Hopefully people will start to buy less so they can see it’s damaging their profits as unfortunately that’s the only thing that will make them change.
  23. Quicksilver rumoured for summer wave
  24. The tiles on the roof are interesting, almost looks like they might be planning to release another set at a later date that can go on top. Maybe Miles’ apartment/bedroom? The car is really nice.
  25. It’s all good, I’m not offended and I’m certainly not trying to cause offence. I think the point I’m just trying to make is that animation isn’t a genre, and someone saying they don’t like animation sort of implies that all animation is more or less the same. I don’t like all animated things just like I don’t like all live action things (anlthough I also thought Agatha was great). A lot of animation is aimed at kids and I can get not being into that, but lots of it isn’t and there is some really beautiful storytelling out there in the world of animation.
