Players Only Please!

Tensions in Cheleb Mensa Prison are high. Warden Bek Sunfell is using the old tactic of turning the inmates on each other in order to find the culprits of a deadly riot.

Posted Image

Foog Roorum lashes out at Cuxun Marsburst while NPC Officer Cometfire Vun tries to break up the interaction. Scar Mimitsus happily points to the people he can place a vote for.

"I get it!" He proclaims.

Posted Image

Tierro Prius and Derwar Gravis communicate with a space demon via a digital ouija board.

Posted Image

Warden Bek Sunfell has removed the holographic pieces from the holo-chess board as punishment for the riot. Rirsol Maasym and Whindum Foxum struggle to remember where they placed their imaginary pieces.

Posted Image

The odd tension is finally broken by the image of Warden Bek Sunfell on the holo-screen.

Posted Image
Illiap Reertu (iamded)

Rules

  •   Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town (Model Inmates) or the Scum (Gang Members).  To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town.  Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles.
  • Each day you will vote to lynch a player.  Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player).  Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player).  Proxy voting is allowed, with the format Proxy: Character (Player) and Unproxy: Character (Player).  No other format will be accepted. The player with the most votes will be lynched.  In the case of a tie, no lynch will take place.  Voting is mandatory.  Failure to vote will result in the untimely death of your character. Please remember that the reason for the delay is that players all reside in different Time Zones. It is usually unfair to a player to log in and find themselves voted out. Accusations should occur during the first 24 hours as a courtesy to the accused to defend themselves before voting starts.
  • A game day will last 48 hours.  You may not vote in the first 24 hours.  The day will end after 48 hours.   After the day has been concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 24 hours (or 48 hours if an emergency comes up). You are required to use your action. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage.
  • You may not choose the same meal two days in a row. Players may not target themselves.
  • The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day.
  • You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the host via PM.  That includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results.  Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only.  Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.
  • Do not play the game outside the thread.  Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread.  Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players.  Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. Metagaming should similarly be done at your own risk.
  • If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players.  Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on.
  • You may not edit your posts.
  • You must post in every day thread.
  • Violation of the above rules will result in the untimely death of your character.
  • If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM

Good morning, fellow inmates. At least there is some good news: I get my food first today. :classic:

However, as the warden completely revamped the menu, I have no idea whether that actually is good news yet. :look:

I can't take all of these inmates rioting everyday! Damn, if only I have my 'devices' here I'll blow all of you in smithereens. As much as I don't want to do anything with you people, I'm forced by the circumstances so we better get our asses working together to find these gang members amongst us.

And now I wait what I'll get on the meal cart...

Nope, but I'm still curious who got my first choice.  If that's the order, being an early riser will be an advantage  :def_shrug:

I'm starving! Let's get this show on the road, we've got heads to crack wayward inmates to discover and murder bring to justice. By murdering the bitches.

Seriously, it's day 1 of this cruise, so unless someone can surprise me, we're gonna be doing some guessing today. Anyone know if we're required to reach a majority decision today or not?

So we can force no lynch by coming to a tie vote. I wonder if we'd be penalized for that. SEE? My question was perfectly acceptable!

Fucking odd number of players.  :hmpf_bad:

I'll ask this again tomorrow, assuming we have an even number then. I swear, I'll keep waiting to ask this until it makes sense.

Actually, we could still do it today if we force a tie by having one person place a different vote entirely.

Where is this food? I mean we are in prison but isn't their some level of treatment that this place needs to uphold. If they can't control the riot's you think they'd at least be able to control the meals.

Actually, it's a fair plan that I'm sure the warden didn't properly count on, with his wording of no conviction in the case of a tie.  It would be a good hard to pull off idea to have it eight and eight and one... Though nobody's going to be volunteering for that.  :sceptic:

We've got a while before the vote comes, and we might have someone come along and start calling everyone shitholes, so let's wait and see  :drunk:

I don't mean to be a bother, Foog, but if you would please stop picking on me I can get back to reading to the blind inmates.

I hope everyone gets a good meal.  I only wish the best for all of you.

As far as voting goes, I'm not sure at this early stage what we should do.  We all definitely need to vote.  I'd rather have a timely death than an untimely one.     I'm not sure that spreading our votes out as has been suggested is feasible.  I'm a very trusting fellow but I don't think the rest of you are.

If we can't decide on voting for anyone, I suppose it would be easier if we all voted for a different person, so that each player has one vote against them and we have a 17-way tie. That way there won't be any counting confusions.

Although this whole idea rests on the assumption that none of the food grants an additional vote, which would make things a lot harder to track.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Enjoy being hungry whilst I eat my food. Maybe if you had taken your drugs properly you wouldn't be so hungry. Or they'd do such harm to your body that you'd need to speak through a device like mine. Either way, you probably wouldn't be feeling so hungry.

At the moment, this seems like the most efficient coarse of action; we won't have to risk voting out an person uninvolved in the riots, and can make a more reliable coarse of action tomorrow.

That is, if God the Warden does not decide to penalise us for such a thing. Maybe there are bonuses to lynching somebody? We are going to have to decide during the next 24 hours, but I see that plan as the useful. Unless there's a two-pill meal, in which case the whole plan becomes flawed.

I'm Agnostic and ambivalent about it.

That's good in theory buy I can't see a bunch of criminals working together like that.

Plus thwart basically hands one of us over to the scum, all they need to do is switch one vote before the day ends and a townie is gone.
