A fleet of Eslandolan vessels came into harbor. The Bright Owl and Aurei Lacerta, escorted by the Trovao made a handsome profit, and came back +1 vessel, as the warship caught the infamous Garvian privateer “The Fallen Angel.” A wonderful Class 5A1 prize! This might make up for the nation’s losses a bit. But that was not the only good news, the Queen of Terelli also captured our esteemed privateer “King of Mardier” off the coast of Garvey when attacked the The Flying Colt, and brought the privateer into port for adjudication. We are sure Remmy Le’nine will be acquitted of all wrong doing and be back at sea again. The Queen of Terelli was also escorting the HMS Alice. Apparently the third of her escorted ships, the Appleseed sunk in the middle of the right after leaving Terelli. It is thought that all hands went down with the ship.

Am I reading this right? Eslandola grabbed "The Fallen Angel" AND the "King of Mardier" if I am reading this right? Wow. THOSE Eslandolan NPC ships were pretty wicked last month!

Yes you are reading it right !

One warship escorting MCTC captured a NPC Warship and the other warship escorting MAESTRO captured another NPC warship.

So it is to the King decision what to do with those vessels...

Alejandro de la Calle signing up for Eslandola

24632791992_eaf7aa16f6_c.jpgIMAG3600 by Neil Sinnott, on Flickr

Hi everyone - I was unfortunately laid up with man flu at the end of the month so I've missed getting my freebuilds up for last month, it does mean they are already waiting to be uploaded though so I will be adding them in shortly.

Without any further ado I present Alejandro's prelude

Prelude: The Merchant’s Son

Alejandro de la Calle, son of the influential Gonzalo de la Calle, a business mogul of a certain level of infamy, known for his “persuasive” negotiations in Terreli needs distance from his overbearing father and a number of irate gamblers to whom he owes a small fortune.

Deciding that a fresh start in the new world could be good for his health Alejandro prepares to leave with a large “donation” from his father’s personal storeroom, including gold and jewels portable enough to transport on a ship destined for Nova Terreli. He is assisted by his valet and bodyguard, Ignacio “Nacho” Quintero.

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

“Don Alejandro, aren’t we taking too great a risk? All this wealth will be missed, your father will not hesitate to reclaim it along, no doubt, with our heads. And travelling on the open seas without men enough to defend ourselves from pirates is dangerous enough anyway.”

“Nacho, my friend, you worry too much. My father won’t miss me for a long time, and the jewels he hides away he thinks are a secret known only to him. He probably won’t even miss them. And we will hide the treasure amongst the fruits and vegetables that we are taking with us. Even the crew won’t know what we are carrying. I’ll admit I hope to avoid pirates but Captain Huesos does have a crew and they should be able to defend themselves. Now let’s get this to the docks”.

“Well Nacho, once more it appears I should have listened to you. Who would have thought the crew would have been so devious as to search all those crates! At least we were able to get in a rowboat rather than over the side. Good thing we had our pistols to hand. Better for them to get the riches and survive than risk several of them dying to get to search us, one small problem though - I don’t think the boat is going to get us very much farther.”

“Don, I think I see land over there we could yet make it – although who knows how far we are from the city…”

~

“Dry land at last Don Alejandro, we should be able to follow the coast until we reach the city, it may take a while but we should be able to manage. We have enough food to last a few days and weapons if there are any natural predators.”

“And, Nacho, we have these, I never let these gems out of my hands either, it may not be all we began with but it’ll be enough for us to get started out here.”

“Wait, what is that, it looks like an old man in those bushes.”

“Just what we need, there was enough of this sort of thing in Terreli…”

“You there! Come here, we need you.”

“Young man – although you seem short on manners I don’t normally see anyone out this far, can I help you?”

“Yes we were put off our ship by the crew and robbed of nearly everything we had – we don’t know how far we are from Nova Terreli and we don’t know the land. Can you help us get there?”

“Of course, I will be going back there shortly, it isn’t far – I was just out here looking for a certain flower for my poultices and such, if you help me pick them we can get back quicker”

“You have a deal, now show us what we are looking for.”

~

“Thank you for your help in finding our way to the city old man, I am very grateful, is there anything we can do to help you?”

“Well no, I am happy enough with my lot wandering around selling my lotions and potions around the area takes up most of my time. Being between premises has its disadvantages though – I have nowhere to store my stock so I have to carry everything with me all the time. But at least it keeps me fit!”

“Look, I know we’ve just met but I need a business interest in the area in order to start to recoup what I’ve lot at the hands of Captain Huesos. If I could find a property for you to use, could we go into partnership together, we can expand your operation so you are the premier lotions and potions man in Nova Terreli.”

“Well, that would be mud in the eye for Sr. Alfonso Quemisto and his big cart of tat! I think we can work together Don Alejandro – you can call me Roldolfo by the way, welcome to the new world!

The story continues in Nova Terreli

Sorry for the lack of extra pictures here - the others scenes will have more views. For me I'm new at a lot of this, I love building but I haven't photographed much before and I will try and improve on my techniques as I go - thanks in advance for all the constructive criticism, I'm looking forward to building a green empire on the waves with you all.

Welcome aboard BoBS, Phadeout! (from a Corry)

Your story sounds good, and we're all eager to see the pics if you can get them fixed.

Edit: Nice collection of pics! The room looks great with the arches and decorative wings and the beach scene is nice. Good cast of characters so far. Love that Creator palm tree. :classic:

@Phadeout, welcome! Next time don't use the image box to post your pictures, just past the BBCode right into your reply.

Yes you are reading it right !

One warship escorting MCTC captured a NPC Warship and the other warship escorting MAESTRO captured another NPC warship.

So it is to the King decision what to do with those vessels...

Yes! Our Eslandian warships did a great job this month of not only keeping our ships safe but capturing two more! Those will be added to ESL's ship list - we are allowed five licensed ships w/o MOCs, so this fills up our tally. The King's Council will figure out how to use these, probably as escorts for February's MRCA!

Some news of Berelli !

Corrington have a colony there now !

Here is the proposition of MAESTRO :

Felipe sent a letter to Lord Flynn before his departure to his dreadly trade run :

Letter to Lord Erie Flynn, Lord of Port Raleigh, Governor of the Corrington territories of Annetta (a.k.a. Berelli)

from

El Senor Felipe de la Manzana, citizen of Eslandola, member of MAESTRO, Ambassador for the eslandian affairs in Berelli,

and from

Lady Zumo de Kapayas, High priestess of the Ténotclaxcans, representant of the chief Azuma.

Copy for the archives for Eslandola High Archives and for Her Majesty of Corrington's Archives.

Mylord,

It appeared you have founded a new settlement you named Port Raleigh along the River Queens in Berelli/Annetta.

Our two great Nations are in peace and are even more linked with the help of some trading agreements we signed from both sides.

Your position in Berelli is welcome if it is made in peace.

The natives of Berelli, the Ténotclaxcans are peaceful people, our Nation is linked to them by the MAESTRO company.

Although some Ténotclaxcans attacked Corlanders who were bringing weapons in foraging party, our will, for both Eslandola and the Natives, is to bring you a message of peace.

We are asking you to join in a Diplomatic Meeting Lady Zumo de Kapayas and Lord Basil de Eslandola, representant of El Senor Felipe de la Manzana.

We hope the Meeting will be the first step in a fruitfull cooperation between Corrington, Eslandola and the Ténotclaxacans.

Yours,

Lord Felipe de la Manzana.

And so, Lord Erie Flynn sent a Corlander official representant at the meeting

Sorry to ask but I see Corrington moving 9 platoons to Port Raleigh, in Berelli and I was wandering if Eslandola has an army ?

I think yes there is but Of how many men ?

So this leading me to a point : is it possible to arm our national fleet vessels for the next MRCA and also send some troops in Berelli in order to follow our red neighbour, Corrington, who is moving 90 men in the island !

Official demand from MAESTRO member, Felipe de la Manzana :

"To our beloved King,

I, Señor Felipe de la Manzana, in the name of MAESTRO's interests and in the name of Eslandola's interests, managed to open relationships with Lord Erie Flynn, governor of the Corrington settlement of Port Raleigh.

We agreed to share efforts in the development of the island in peace. Peace between our 2 Nations, but also peace with the main tribe of natives, the Ténotclaxcans.

Our agreement is about sharing the development of a fortified line of defence for the island. A project of a common fort is at study right now.

But MAESTRO will never be able to arm alone such a military structure without National support.

This is what I am asking to the King to help us by sending official Eslandolan troops like our friendly neighbour is doing.

It is said about 9 platoons of 10men each so it will be 90 men of Corrington for Port Raleigh garrison, so I am asking the King the same number of men for the garrison in Elysabethtown.

Always be your faithful representant in Berelli, I am sending you my respectuous salutations.

The 11th of February 616

Señor Felipe de la Manzana."

To the Honorable Señor Felipe de la Manzana,

The Council is very much aware of the necessity for fortification and is currently evaluating the possibilities. Look for decisions in the near future; arming our fleet vessels and protecting Berreli are high on the priority list.

Guy K. Wynd,

Secretary of State.

Dearest members of the High Council,

as you undoubtly have noticed, have the redcoats setlled on our beautiful island. This would be no problem, since Corrington is a good friend of ours. But they have decided to move a part of their army there! I'm a... line striped trough ... and hencefor I'd like you to decide quickly on the matter Lord de la Manzana has brought for. When deciding though, please remember that I have already built a fort there. But this fort is small, and bigger forts are quit expensive... scratch in the paper

...urs sincerely,

Lady Elysabeth of Drondil

I'm back! (3 days Amsterdam was really good for inspiration!) You can expect some builds from me this weekend!
