  16. Last week I've made a new concept vehicle for the Rock Raiders 2 game: Drill Craft 2,0. It's a new version of the original Rock Raiders set 1277 Drill Craft: http://brickset.com/sets/1277-1/Drill-Craft I've tried to build a lot of details in this MOC, added better drills and give it a more speeder look. pictures: 01_Drill-Craft_2.0 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr 03_Drill_Craft_2.0 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr 02_Drill_Craft_2.0 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr 04_Drill_Craft_2.0 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr I hope you like it
  17. I like to show you my new MOC: KOMATSU 895 “The gentle giant” At this moment, the KOMATSU 895 is the biggest forwarder of KOMATSU Forest. This moc took me three months to complete, because it was a challenging build to get all the details and functions in this 1:25 scale model. In real, the 895 has several ingenious functions to load and transport a lot of trunks. The following functions are in this scale model: - Wheel suspension -Telescopic boom -Shovel blade -74-AWI-4v diesel engine - Cabin with door - In the cabin, an operators seat which can turn 360 degrees - Ladder for enter te cabin - Adjustable LoadFlex - Adjustable Flexgate I've choose the 1:25 scale because I want to build a forest layout for this forwarder and a KOMATSU harvester. The 1:25 scale is a challenge for a detailed build, but I think I managed it Pictures: 01_KOMATSU_895 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 02_KOMATSU_895 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 03_KOMATSU_895 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 08_KOMATSU_895_transporting_trunks_adjusted_LoadFlex by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr Adjustable LoadFlex 09_KOMATSU_895 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 10_KOMATSU_895_backside by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 12_KOMATSU_895_suitable_for_rugged_terrain by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr The forwarder is suitable for rugged terrain. 20__KOMATSU_895_74-AWI-4V_diesel_engine by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 74-AWI-4V diesel engine Picture which shows all functions: 25_KOMATSU_895_overview_functions by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr for more picture see my Flickr profile: https://www.flickr.c...157653524113986 Hope you like it
  18. This 1:25 scale harvester is the KOMATSU 951. It’s a brand new and the biggest harvester of KOMATSU Forest. I’ve decided to build this harvester to display in my KOMATSU Forest layout (which I post soon). I’ve built as much as functions of the real 951 harvester in my model. It took 1,5 month to build this model. I’ve built the following functions: · Suspension with central pivot · Telescopic boom · KOMATSU S172 head (which can rotate like the real one) · Ladder for enter the cabin · Rotating operators seat · Door can be opened · Rotating cabin · Possible to stabilize the cabin when driving on sloping surfaces · AGCO Power 74 engine Pictures: 01_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 02_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 03_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 08_KOMATSU_S172_head_and_telescopic_boom by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr KOMATSU S172 head 11_cabin_hinge_sideways by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 12_cabin_hinge_forwards by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 15_overview_functions_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr Overview of functions Hope you like it
  19. The Rock Raiders are arrived at Planet U. They have less fuel for their Space ship, LMS Explorer. So they need to seek energy crystals to provide the LMS explorer. If the Rock Raiders find enough energy crystals, they can continue their travel. But, the caves are dangerous. Rock Monsters live inside and protect th eenergy crystals. I've made the layout with construction foam to give the rocks a realistic look. Several vehicles are MOCs. And I've added the Rock Raiders sets. 20. Hello, My name is Mathijs, at online LEGO community's also known as LegoMathijs. I'm 20 years old, As long as I remember LEGO fan :D I like to share my LEGO creations with other LEGO fans and like to see what they build. My favorite LEGO theme? hmm, I'm allround, like a lot of theme's. I'm often build layouts and small MOCs, like to put a lot of details on it, combined with Technic parts for moving elements. I'm also member of Lowlug and De Bouwsteen. Both Dutch LEGO User Groups. And every year I show my MOCs and layouts at LEGO events. Some pictures of layouts/MOCs I've made: Rock raiders layout (with MOCs and sets) Picture of Hogwarts Castle (part of Harry potter layout) Micro scale space ship: My following project is a Space layout. 21. A team of astronauts explore several planets to find new/unknown ores. The astronauts discovered a new planet, ‘’OSWION’’. They build a space station, which contains a Intergalactic Communications Tower, Planetary Observation Centre, a power plant, a research and observation compound, Landing platforms for spaceships. The astronuts build a monorail to transport the containers easily. The astronauts use their vehicles to explore the planet and dig ores and energy crystals. The space ships and vehicles are modular, you can easy rebuild them by swapping and combining the components. Every mission need it’s own vehicle. Some buildings, like the power plant and Intergalactic Communications Tower, are motorized by Power Functions. At the left side of the layout, a large portal is build to enter planet OSWION. The light in the protal is EL wire. It took 11 month's to build the layout.
