Another awesome review, Fangy! I liked the BTTF set but this set is a childhood dream come true. I can't wait until I can get ahold of this one.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I haven't been paying much attention to the new Agents but dude.... Makes a Fantastic Four set much more likely and even more possible as a Cuusoo Ideas project. I don't think Ghost Rider is likely (I welcome being proved wrong by TLG). Besides his supernatural background, I don't think his merchandise has sold all that well in the past either. Not too difficult to do purist, though, with this new piece. It looks like a great new piece that can be used to great effect in the SH theme.- 9,756 replies

Brickworld Chicago 2014 Countdown Chatter and Pizza Party.

Okay, now I want to know my frog's name. He's been sitting nameless on a shelf all year and that's just sad. -
Bumblebee: Transformer (Hornet Mode)
CorneliusMurdock replied to Siercon and Coral's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
You guys just don't stop with the amazing stuff. That's what a Transformer should be like. Stupid Kreo. I have to ask, did you mimic the function off of the original toy? Unfortunately, lightningtiger is right and I'll have to relinquish this topic to the Sci-Fi forum. -

The talk of the bootlegs needs to stop here. This is not the place for that discussion. Thank you.- 9,756 replies

Let's stay on topic, people. The episode is nice and all but this thread is about the physical Lego.

If the thoughts aren't related to the figures or set, then it it isn't the appropriate thread.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
To each his own, I suppose. I think they look horrendous. Donnie looks more donkey-like than turtle-ish in that picture. I understand what they were trying to do but I wish they'd left well enough alone. LEGO did a good job translating the look to minifigures but that makes them more of a pass for me. I got a full set of nice looking turtles already, there's really no need for me to pick up the movie sets. I had thought that maybe the van could be a good start for a classic party wagon but I think I'll start from scratch. -
I have the same problem. Normally the Meijer gets them here (NW Ohio), but they've had nothing since the Lego Movie minifigs flew off the shelves. I'm hoping they just haven't gotten them in my area yet as opposed to not ordering them in the first place.

I Think we should support this Lego Ideas set.
CorneliusMurdock replied to Microdragons's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think we shouldn't start topics solely to advertise Ideas/Cuusoo projects whether they're our project or not. -
Already being discussed here. Until we have more than rumors, it doesn't get it's own topic.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
CorneliusMurdock replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Fooled me then. They certainly don't look as bad as the Iron Man ones. Still, I think it's safest to buy customs from a known custom company or customizer rather than taking a chance on unknown Ebay sellers. -
Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rhino Reference Pictures
CorneliusMurdock replied to MattZitron's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unless you have a MOC or custom to share, posting reference pictures about a particular subject is kind of useless. -
While it's nice that you have displayed your minifigures, this doesn't really need it's own topic. Discussing the merits of the minifigures themselves can be done in the regular discussion thread along with discussing availability.

Really want a 30168 Gun Mounting System (Iron Patriot). I would prefer it sealed to insure that it is an official one. US trades preferred to keep down on shipping but if the deal is good enough, I'll consider non-US offers. What I have for trade: Jor-El Sealed Darth Revan Sealed Monster Fighters Werewolf Monster Fighters Major Quinton Steele Lone Ranger Red Harrington I also have a 9469 Gandalf Arrives set that I'd be willing to part with. I will trade both Jor-El and Darth Revan together for one Iron Patriot! Or make me a counter-offer.

There is a thread already about characters we'd like to see. No need for a separate thread.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
CorneliusMurdock replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
The first and third pictures look like customs and not knock-offs. The second definitely is and I have to say that I wouldn't touch those with a ten foot pole. Besides the severe lack of quality, I've also heard of them stealing the designs from customizers. And that's not even getting into the legalities of them making knock-offs of LEGO in the first place. Never ever supporting a business with practices like that. Customs, on the other hand... Pad printing is becoming more common and there are a few companies out there now with great designers printing after-market parts and figures. If I had the money to purchase some of them, I would. -
For discussing what you'd like to see in future sets (if we get any) please take the discussion here. Let's keep this thread open for more general theme discussion and news.

It was a spambot adding gibberish to a repeated line from your post in an effort to hide a link in the forum. I've flagged him. Anyway, I think I'd prefer the sleepyhead hair for TENnant. I can completely see what you were going for with that hair, though.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
*sigh* Then don't be that guy. if there were even a rumor of new sets being based on it, I think a little speculation might be justified. But people posting that the show is airing again isn't relevant to the sets at this point. We have wishlist threads for characters that we want to see or sets we'd like to see made. So, I also think Arrow or AOS possibilities could be discussed elsewhere. I think some people have lost sight as to what this thread is. I'm not saying that certain topics are forbidden, all I'm trying to say is that there are proper places for them. I think I've given a lot of leeway lately but that's been taken for granted. I'm not here to slam you guys down, I'm just politely reminding you of the proper places for such discussions.- 9,756 replies

Unless the builder made some, the answer is probably no where. Your best bet would be to contact the builder on MOCpages but I'd think it's a long shot. Maybe you could just study the model and try to use it as inspiration for your own MOC.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sure there's a Culture and Media thread where Beware the Bat can be discussed at length. That place is not here. Things have gotten a bit loose around here since I was laid up for a while with the flu. Let's all make more of an effort to stay on topic, please.- 9,756 replies

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wish they'd shown more of it in that picture. The front end looks nice but I wonder if it would be wide enough to accommodate Robin as well. While I didn't need any of the bat vehicles from this wave, I do have to say after building a few that they are well-designed. As long as they expand the Justice League a bit more, I can stand a few more of the like. Especially if they make it a classic '66.- 9,756 replies

They look a little strange to me ( I do think it's the ears and noses which remind me of that misstep in the Western line way back when.), but I can respect that others like the way these look. I just don't get why TLG would approve of them using something that isn't what the product ended up being. I thought part of the point of the episode was to get people excited about the line. Now if fans do like the figures from the show, they're pretty much out of luck. It's not just an alternate character like various Super Heroes from the videogames we'll never get, it's an entirely different style.
