  1. That's hilarious. Glad that you were able to work it out, though. I'm always impressed by Lego Store employees. Not only can they handle the massive weekend crowds in the tiny little stores (while still smiling) but they're always as helpful as can be. Kind of strange that they didn't surround it with the Princess sets. You'd think they'd want those as close to your display as possible.
  2. Sorry, but topics like this aren't encouraged or we'd have a forum full of them. I think your question has been answered somewhat anyway.
  3. Feel free to introduce yourself in the "Hello, my name is.." forum.
  4. Yatkuu has shared with us his Disney Princess MOC he made for a store display. Check it out in Licensed!
  5. Movie discussion somewhere else please.
  6. Kevkipo and Korpen, drop the matter, it's over. Let's move on. And no one else needs to add to that conversation now, either.
  7. As I tell my 2 year old, throwing a fit will never result in you getting what you want. I've ignored a couple of your posts about this but if you keep it up, we'll have a less pleasant chat elsewhere. Now we can get back on topic and start acting like adults again. Thank you.
  8. = Is teasing you. You basically did repeat what I said in spirit. I think it was pretty clear what I put in quotation marks. In other news, my tax return came just in time for the Martian Manhunter promotion. I've been drooling over the Steamroller set for weeks now. Debating on whether to get it or a few of the smaller sets that are less likely to be discounted on Amazon.
  9. Thanks, I'll be the moderator now.
  10. Discussion about characters appearing in LEGO form are okay, but we should stay away from these kinds of arguments in the thread. If someone expresses an opinion different than your own, be tolerant of it. The "know your comics" attitude has to stop from everyone.
  11. I think Sherlock is one of the best shows on television today and can't wait for the next season but I'm not sure what LEGO could do with it. Besides the main cast as minifigures, there's nothing really iconic of a build like BTTF or Ghostbusters had. Even the Baker Street apartment isn't tremendously recognizable from the outside while the inside is mostly chairs and books.. I hope the CUUSOO people prove me wrong but I'm not sure what single build would get people to buy.
  12. Okay, topic is now out of hand. Bye bye, topic.
  13. This has been and will continue to be discussed in the current Super Hero topic. Thank you.
  14. I don't think a charity-type thing would be disrespectful, I just don't think it would work for this project. There's no money being made here to be donated. I'm sure the only ones to profit from this endeavor would be the company that prints the arms and the seller(s) that we get the arms from. The way things are being structured, it seems that all the money paid in will go to actual production and shipping costs. I wouldn't be surprised if his family/friends set up a charitable thing in his name at some point. They probably have other things on their minds right now.
  15. Since he was a large part of the creative team for the movie, he probably had a stake in merchandizing. I wouldn't be surprised if he was shown at least a preliminary version when it was approved. I think he'd have appreciated it being made into LEGO even if he didn't have a say in it.
  16. I haven't been following this discussion too closely. Has a Ninjago movie been greenlit? If so, perhaps a topic of it's own would be more appropriate. If not, it still doesn't seem like the purpose of this thread to discuss the viability of a Ninjago movie. So maybe a new topic should be started for it in any case if people are interested in such a discussion. And above all, we should not let our excitement carry us away enough to cause hard feelings towards one another even if we have opposite opinions.
  17. Might be worth looking into whether TLG might let us have some tan torsos with arms for a bulk price. Since this is fan driven and not for profit, it doesn't hurt to ask. Not sure how expensive the arms would be individually from the seller you were talking about.
  18. After months, my Health Insurance ordeal has ended! No more glitchy online forms or waiting on hold for hours!

  19. I wonder if the arch issue has to do with the way they slightly changed the inside curve of the arch you use on top. Thanks so much for sharing. It's really generous of you to provide the file.
  20. Arguments over minifigure "race" need to stop now. This is a subject that was talked to death before and will not be repeated here, especially if this results in bickering. "Fleshie" is a term that normally refers to the non-yellow-skinned minifigures found in Licensed sets. Taking the term as insulting to incite a flame war will not be tolerated.
  21. I'm going to move this to the MCW forum since it has more to do with making custom pieces. I hope you can such a project off the ground. The armbands are a major part of the costume. I also hope such community projects are successful because it bodes well for the hobby as a whole.
  22. I don't see how the Superman/Batman movie getting delayed would really affect a GL set. Hal hasn't been announced to be in the movie. If they had a set ready to go with Hal Jordan, they might as well leave it to the original wave and design a new set to take it's place in the Superman/Batman wave. Yeah, I think we'll definitely start seeing the GOTG sets appear mid-May. I'm not sure what to think of them yet myself. This is one franchise that I'm not familiar with so how much I like the movie (or the characters) may determine how I'll end up liking the sets. At this point, I know I'll want a Rocket Raccoon but the others, we'll have to see.
  23. Just ignore him, please. Then express that in a better way, don't insult the creator of the project who has been kind enough to post here about things. If you want to talk about Cuusoo itself and other projects that appeal to you more, this isn't the thread for it.
  24. Fixed in both the original post and his quote.
  25. Judging from FBTB's pics of the interior, the windows look somewhat stable to me. It looks like they're held in place at more than one point. With the roof on, they should be secure enough to roll around. Some builds are more stable too, than people realize. My son (who just turned 3 last week) has played with the Delorean several times and I'm always surprised how well it holds up. Even when he threw it one time, all that came off was one back piece and a windshield piece.
