Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
This thread is not for discussing the decision to split threads and neither is the DC one. If there's no news, let the thread sit. Theoretically, there should still be the same amount of information in the two threads read separately as when they were one thread. The only thing stopping you from reading one about Marvel would be yourself. -

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
CorneliusMurdock replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
It is absolutely glorious! It continues the trend of awesome $20 SH sets in a big way. GL and Sinestro?! Yes, please. Take my money now. I like the little spaceship, too. It's a nice little design and makes the set not just an excuse to buy the minifigs. -
News from SDCC! 2015 will finally bring us Green Lantern, and he's bringing his nemesis Sinestro along for the ride! See more pictures and talk about this exciting development in Licensed. Thanks to member shaggysanchez for letting us know.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
We might get more news later in the week, so this thread and the DC one will remain open in anticipation. If there's no news, you don't have to post in the thread. -
As I said in the DC thread, we're trying something new and splitting the two topics. Marvel discussion goes here. When news happens, it can be posted here.

Before you start lamenting on how hard your life is, realize that you don't have to be a member here at all. I was planning on trying something new this year, though. Hope you like it. -
Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Hopefully we'll get the instructions for that Batmobile at some point, whether from TLG themselves or through a fan who bought the set. Otherwise, I'll be trying to reverse engineer it myself. I love the smily face of Zur Batman. I really hope we see that or something similar again in the future. Serious Batman needs a goofy friend. Overall, I'm not overly fussed about any of the exclusives this year. I don't feel like I would have gone out of my way to purchase the sets they were in if they weren't exclusive.- 9,756 replies

I'm glad for those of you that wanted the tumbler because it looks to be really well done. But I'm also glad that I can happily live without it since it doesn't really appeal to me and wouldn't fit in my budget even if it did.- 9,756 replies

I wasn't aware of any uncertainty of quantity of these. And I'm not sure your goal of finding out by people posting what they have is achievable. However, as long as this goes along amicably, it'll stay open. But if there's any problems with this thread, it's gone. I'm much more lenient with the main rumor and discussion thread for obvious reasons.

Sorry, but no. I'll be having a conversation with you shortly to explain why. Please hold.

Let's keep the conversation civil, people. Keep in mind that once you state your opinion, there's no need to keep arguing your point. It should be obvious that you're not going to change anyone's mind. If this thread gets out of hand, I'll close it.- 9,756 replies

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

I'm not sure the figures in the little sets are going to be exclusives. I still think we'll see them at some point, whether a polybag or a larger set next year. Rocket, especially, would be perfect in a polybag after the movie's release and we often don't hear about those until right before they're released. Undesirable? Ambush Bug would be awesome! Luckily, I think he'd require some new molds to be done adequately. I'd love a more classic Canary over the show's version. I'm hoping she gets a set with a comic style Green Arrow in the near future. The visibility of the characters due to the show is certainly high enough to warrant one set in the next couple of years.- 9,756 replies

This is indeed the right place for this MOC. And wow, it's a nice one. The landscaping is really well done but the real stars are the depiction of Korra's powers and the polar bear thingy (I've not had a chance to see the show). The saddle area is excellently designed on him. Those Mixel joints have just opened up a new era in creature and mech design and I love seeing builders create wonderful new things with them that would have been nearly impossible before.

They can't print on short legs. That's why they came up with the new molding process.- 9,756 replies

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

I'd like everyone to calm down and just breathe. We know very little for certain other than this will be for sale at SDCC. We don't know for sure that this version of Rocket won't appear anywhere else. There could very well be a polybag with this Rocket at some point. I could see that selling really well. And it's feasible considering that they had to use the shorts short leg mold in a new combination of colors. Has there been a CC exclusive using a new mold color? I think there's still hope there. In any case, I think this is nowhere near as terrible as past years. As others have stated, at least it's not the only version of a popular character. And at least the charade of the "raffle" might be over, right?- 9,756 replies

Sounds like a lot of thought went into this thing and it should have a lot of good uses. Supported. I love that it can be hidden inside a MOC unlike the IR receiver. And that the outputs are effectively doubled while still maintaining about the same footprint. It mentions programmability. Does this mean I could program a flashing pattern for PF lights and still have manual control over a motor attached to the same SBrick?

MOC: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Krang's Android Body
CorneliusMurdock replied to Speldwright's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yes, thank you. I really like the Kraang-bot. It's simple but looks just right. If it ever did pass, it would give TLG a good excuse to make those mixel joints in non-gray colors, too!- 6 replies

MOC: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Krang's Android Body
CorneliusMurdock replied to Speldwright's topic in LEGO Licensed
It is a fantastic MOC, one that I would love to see more pictures of. That being said, to comply with EB guidelines, could you redo your post to present it as a MOC? You can keep a discrete link at the end of the post to Ideas but this way it makes us less of a billboard. Understand?- 6 replies
