Hinckley and I will be there, too. We're collaborating on Rio Bricko, a western display, and Hinck is bringing something Fabuland-y.

Please leave all movie talk out of this thread. That discussion belongs in Culture and Multimedia. This is set discussion. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I think most TRU promo thingys say "not for sale" on them. It just means that you shouldn't be able to just walk in and buy one individually. What's the sticker sheet for? I don't have the Milano yet, would these stickers customize that into the ship Rocket used? -
Wow! Really excellently done. I love how you included the interior of the Tardis. Was there a specific episode you were going for? It does a great job representing Tennant's tenure. Since we've had no word of the Ideas project passing or not, this belongs in Sci-fi (for now).

Kevkipo, I would suggest that you make a separate thread for your LDD MOCs since they are your creations and not representations of what we'll actually get as sets. -
[MOC] Together We Excel - Iron Man Argonaut Armor
CorneliusMurdock replied to Ivanhosg's topic in LEGO Licensed
While that is an excellent MOC, our site guidelines prohibit topics that are only meant to advertise for Ideas projects. You may edit this topic into a MOC presentation (more pictures, story about the MOC, etc.) with a subtle link to your project at the end in order to comply with those guidelines. -

No one here is doing anything to prevent you from posting a link. As long as a link isn't self-promotion or spam, we normally leave it alone. I can assure you that no member of the EB staff has altered your posts in any way and, as far as I know, we don't have any automatic system for removing links (as a way to deal with spam). Are you sure you're not doing it wrong? -

This is starting to derail a bit. Remember the topic is about the sets, please. -

Everyone should calm down a bit. No one can be forced to show pictures, and arguing about it is really off-topic. Stay on track, please. -

Everyone can stop mini-modding. If something is said in this thread and you really think it's off-topic, report it. I've been giving a lot of leeway lately. If you think there's been too much slack and want to discuss it, drop me a PM. That being said, rehashing the idea of a collectible minifigure line… Sort of stretching it a bit thin, especially since we have actual news of what the sets will be. There's a separate topic already speculating what other licensed themes could get collectible lines. How about that discussion can happen there? -
Real Life Representation On How LEGO Handles The DC Theme

Yes, you're funny. But this doesn't warrant it's own topic. Sorry. -

The Fortaan helmet wouldn't look terrible if recolored (depending entirely on how the movie version looks) but curiously it seemed designed to fit snugly on a 1x1 round brick and looks oversized on a microfigure. -

Manta set is pretty meh to me. If Aquaman isn't a new version, the only interesting fig will be Black Manta himself. It'll depend on how much he costs by himself in the aftermarket as to whether I'll purchase it then. Grodd is great for the villains. It does make me wish that I hadn't gotten the Riddler Chase set, though. The Invisible Jet is neat but I think it'll just end up being the base for better MOCs in the future. Hopefully it'll have some larger trans clear pieces to make such things possible. Bat Mech is such a waste of parts, though. Darkseid set is pure win. Three(!) all new heroes and a great villain. Add in a pretty nice Javelin, and you can sign me up for this set right now. The Braniac set is good for Supergirl and Braniac himself. Not as big a fan of the actual model here, so I hope it's not too expensive. And I can't wait to see what those minifig flingers will be good for. Probably not actually flinging minifigures, but I'm sure they'll have uses. -
Disney Princess 2015 Rumors and Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Frozen set is just about what I pictured it would be. My daughter (and probably my son as well) will flip out when they see this. I'm glad that it isn't just Elsa and Anna but I wish they could have thrown in Kristof and Sven as well. I'd think a reindeer mold, at least, would be reusable in other themes. It's Bubble Guppy logic. Best not to think about it too hard or your brain will melt. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Some people think they're being hilarious but it's not obvious to everyone that they're joking. When making a joke, people should keep in mind that tone of voice is hard to convey in a post. Please don't cause confusion. -
As much as I appreciate wanting a favorite theme to continue, this kind of post is expressly forbidden by our site guidelines. And the fact that you made the exact same post in another thread (completely unrelated to the Simpsons) leads me to believe you are only here for your own gain. Post like this again and you'll be flagged as a spammer.

Unless you've heard any whispers of such a set for 2015, you can put such talk in the Set Ideas thread. Don't argue with me. -

This thread is for 2015 SET discussion. Not posting links to funny videos. I'm sure there's a place in Culture and Multimedia for it but it's place isn't here. -
DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
CorneliusMurdock replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unless we have even a hint that we'll get one of these minifigures from the game, that discussion does not belong in this thread. Stay on topic, people. Lamenting that we won't get a design from the game is not a rumor and it's not a productive discussion about the sets we may get. Be courteous to your fellow members and don't spam this thread with game talk and pictures. People come to this thread to discuss the sets and that becomes a lot harder with all of this getting posted. -
The tag lines were supposed to be updated. I'll have to bring that up to someone able to do it. But LOTR is the exception to the rule rather than an example of how the rule works. In any case "History" is meant to describe the architectural style and content rather than differentiate between fact and fiction. Jurassic World is in Licensed as was the short-lived Jurassic Park theme. If someone wants to make a MOC based on the movies, it goes in Licensed. If someone wants to make a Dino MOC it can go in action.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
A good rule of thumb for spoiler tags: if you think you might need to use one, don't post whatever you were posting in this thread. -
If a MOC is a generic "Western" it belongs in History, even if it uses fleshies. If it is based on the movie, it belongs in Licensed. Simple and not inconsistent. LOTR and POTC are the inconsistencies, not the norm. And there were reasons for those being put where they were. Princesses are a Licensed theme. It'll stay in Licensed. If some members don't want to look at it, don't open those topics. The Superheroes lines are not large enough to warrant their own forum. If they do at some point in the future, we'll see that and be flexible about it. There may be some organizational changes within Licensed at some point anyway. I have some ideas that might make it easier to navigate. We'll see.

That's what the auction says. Apparently, it's unglued. He probably and rightly expects that there'll be some damage while getting it to the owner and wants to be available to repair it once it makes it to its destination. That's real service.

And making the artist's visit (it says he'll deliver it personally) a big event. They would definitely have the space to display it. I was able to visit the museum this summer. Some really good stuff there already. This isn't a Licensed subject. Moving to Special Themes… now.
