  1. I noticed... Especially if you put it onto Lego Ideas, I think you should have made a bigger effort for your own design of the roof and other details than just copying it 1:1...
  2. Thanks everyone for the nice comments! Thanks! There's a couple of more pictures of the inside of the shop in my Flickr album. A rough estimate of the piece count ist about 1400.
  3. Congrats! I can almost feel the sand and the sun! Very nice choice of colors, great details like the surfboard racks or the loudspeakers.
  4. Very nice! Great idea, very well executed. All of our cities should actually have more such structures, not just cute houses...
  5. I am a big fan of MODs. This is indeed cute, the proportions are looking good!
  6. Thanks, everyone, happy that you all like it! Thanks, lightningtiger! I checked, but the last building contest was limited to 32 x 32... Hadn't seen your Coles station before, my inspiration mainly came from Google (such as here or here)...
  7. Hi everyone I am happy to present my first "big" MOC: A modular Shell gas station. When I got hold of a MISB set 1256 with its huge sticker sheet, I got started. The gas station is 32 x 48 studs big and a corner modular. There is a double gas pump, a vacuum cleaner, a tire inflator, a public phone and a city map. The shop sells everything from motor oil and fire extinguishers to newspapers and flowers. It has also a large choice of beverages and food - you can even get a burger (well, microwaved only, but still)! The neighboring 16 x 32 recycling station module adds the battery for the power functions lights in the roof and the shop. I also built a Scania tanker truck and a small Mini Cooper to go with the station. Comments & suggestions welcome, thanks for looking!
  8. 1 CC (bricklinked), 1 GG (bricklinked), 2 FB, 3 GE, 2 PS, 2 TH, 1 PC, 2 PR. I like buying multiples mainly to enlarge / MOD the modulars. I also like the sets as part packs (GE for the tan bricks, PS for the sand blue) and when I see a used set for a good price, I usually try to get it. :-)
  9. Congratulations! And many thanks for all the work, everyone!
  10. Very nice! The interior looks appropriately flashy for a casino and the shark tank is a great idea!
  11. Yes, that actually makes a lot of sense, thanks!
  12. Just one picture of the interior of the ground floor: In the other floors I just put the standard furniture for now.
  13. I've made a MOD of the Parisian Restaurant - I wanted a full-size version! :-). The biggest modifications are in the back, where I had to change the stairs around. The lower apartment now has a private balcony, while the studio belongs to the upper apartment. For the interior, I made almost no changes as for now.
  14. Very nice! I think your new version is an improvement, but changing all the foliage to green would probably make it "pop" still a little more. And as others have said: The roof is superb!
  15. Looking good! I especially like the terrace on the top and the bookshelf in the apartment.
  16. Very very nice! As everybody said, the balcony makes it really stand out - great details! But I also love the well-done interiors. Great job!
  17. This looks great! I have a WIP in the same colour on my table - it's not easy with the limited parts selection... Superb detailling as always - I looking forward to updates from your amazing city!
  18. Looking good! I am thinking about a modular train station, too, so thank you for the inspiration!
  19. I prefer picture reviews, every time. Seeing how much effort people put in them here at Eurobricks and comparing that to "Hi - I've built the newest LEGO set and will now rotate it around with my hands in front of the camera for the next 30 minutes in order to generate clicks and money from Youtube" it's really no question, is it?
  20. Great layout! I love the skyscrapers - they mix nicely with the modular buildings! My favourite is the Gas Company Tower with the tons of transparent dark blue at the top.
  21. Check out https://www.flickr.com/photos/ddoshin/ (I saw it at Kristel's blog, http://modularsbykristel.com).
  22. Really well done! I like your idea of "thin" city blocks, i.e. dual facade houses. And taking inspiration from the LEGO Movie for modulars is great, there are a couple of more possibilities (get's me thinking... ).
  23. Very nice, this building is huge! Looks great! Of course, I love modern modular police stations!
  24. This promises to be fantastic! A casino is indeed a great idea!
  25. Thanks everyone! And yes, I am afraid the firemen won't get an upgrade to their 80 year-old station any time soon...
