Yeah. It's a custom printed figure by Christo. Same as Ysanne Isard with the different coloured eyes. I've actually got a Bail Organa on it's way.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
There is no excuse for the use of Comic Sans. Using it should result in the contraction of a flesh eating disease. Preferably a terminal one. I must admit I do like that Black Panther helmet now I've seen it with a bit more detail. -
I must admit for a small set, and the price will be a factor here, I think it's not bad at all. Two new characters and a variation on a favourite (isn't there always?) a seemingly well made vehicle and a nice little environment to round things off. As much as I'm not overly keen on the Bats variant I think it's quite a good little set. Is it just me or does Talia look a little like Maria Hill decided to wear a red SHIELD costume on 'Dress Up Friday' while getting Wonder Woman to do her makeup?

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Robianco replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Yeah... that's not really meant to be anything specific other than just a new Batman design that fits with each of the figures in that wave. Red Tornado was superb in that set. The GL torso was really good and the arms for Cyborg actually upgrade the official figure. I used Flash's arms on one of my official Flash figures. Aquaman is very good although you'll need to change the head out. WW is rubbish. -
I'm actually wondering if Han's new EPVII legs would work with the brown hips as they are black and have the brown holster straps. I might see what the BL costs are for those.

Let's form an orderly queue for all figure Jin Run figures based on this bad boy... -
They're both Christo customs. I managed to pick them both up with virtually no other bids so the price stayed low. I've since added the white legs with black boots to Thrawn. It's a shame he hadn't updated the design on these since he originally created them but I don't think that was a priority for him so I'll just live with the fact they're slightly different in style to the other Imperials. I updated Starkiller after getting his torso for around 30p in an eBay lot: He's there with a custom Mara Jade. Dooku's torso works well for her (as I don't think she needs huge Super Hero breasts). The chain across the top works well and the brown thick belt. Hips are actually brown Han hips along with plain black legs. I know this isn't a custom SW thread so apologies for the additional of custom figs into the updated SW ones.

I went with White 'tache for Pellaeon

I used J Jonah's head. I know it's a grey 'tache over a brown one but I just preferred it.

I popped into my Lego store last Friday just to have a catch up and see if it was worth spending £50 to get the promo figure... which I didn't end up doing. I was chatting to one of the staff there who said that when Slave 1 was released they had a queue outside the door waiting and they sold out their stock on day one. They've since only sold 1 of the 75098 while it's been in stock... even the staff there look at it as a bad set, which he actually stated. It's part of their job to be positive about sets but they're finding it very difficult with this one. I think all the arguments have been made on this set... I've sold all of my previous Hoth sets, keeping the figures, but I still don't feel I can pull the trigger at this price. It doesn't help, as Lobot said, that Ewok Village is lower priced and is actually on sale so was almost £50 cheaper on shelf. The Sandcrawler is also cheaper with the sale price. I've got 75054 along with 75049 to add to the build but I'm hoping 75098 drops to somewhere around £180 to make it a worthwhile purchase.

I don't think they're transparent to be honest... unless I'm mistaken. Difficult to tell when the images is that low resolution. -
I may have a Maleficent to trade for an Alice... Give me a day or so to check.

Shame the head on the right is printed upside down! -

That's impressive detailing on the print. If they have printed arms I hope they're now using the smaller shoulder mould rather than SY's old one. -

Have I missed this? I know there was the SY wave with the silly wing things on their backs but I must have missed a DLP wave. Anything new or is that a silly question? -

I had a load of figure in my basket on Ali for weeks and I got around to ordering them last night. I must admit it's more out of curiosity in how they look now rather than collecting them seriously. I've ordered two separate Mystique figures as I'm just interested in how they are compared to Phoenix and Christo's figures. Hopefully the BvS Aquaman figure will have decent torso print and having WW's new hair in black will hopefully be decent. Change the head out and it should make for a decent custom. After that it's the latest SY Iron Man range... I must admit I'm going to have quite a large Hall of Armour that I don't want at the end of it but for £4 I couldn't resist. I'm just hoping Pogo and Xinh really do start to get things right as they look like the brands that are looking to do something other than just clone regular Lego figures. Just... please.... no... more... mechs..... -
I'm not even sure why there's a conversation about comparing BL and Lego. BL is a marketplace for people reselling new and used Lego parts and or sets. Lego is the manufacturer who also sell parts and sets. BL sellers acquire figures, parts, sets and split them accordingly... whether they split them quick enough for a buyer or at all is entirely up to the BL seller. BL sellers don't have to offer anybody anything. If a seller doesn't split a figure into separate parts it's because they can make more from selling the figure as a whole... at least at first or until the individual parts may become more widely available and thus cheaper. That's also the reason Lego use figures to help sell particular sets. Buy from people who sell things at the quality you want and the price you want.

To be honest... a lot of those photos look like digitally printed figures. I'm assuming they may be the customs they're cloned from. It's certainly very exciting for Marvel fans to have things such as She-Hulk etc available relatively cheaply. I'm sure Agoodfella will be interested in what parts can be appropriated from them to create better customs. There must be a lack of DC customs out there for them to copy. -
I think maybe its down to people asking for an updated one... which I don't see the need for. It is true though, that with Han being identical to another version in a cheaper set as well as Luke being only slightly updated it would seem like a pretty obvious void seeing as she's one of the central characters in the Assault on Hoth. I'd have personally preferred a snowy Chewie along with probe droid to reenact that scene as well as having Luke and Han to reenact the search and rescue scene. Lego haven't always been that obvious in their figure choices though. I'm assuming they have their reasons for doing so.

I personally don't see the need for a new Leia in this set. The exiting Hoth design we already have is pretty much perfectly in line design-wise with these so apart from the legs that Toryn and the Rebels have there was nothing to add. I think Han in his Blue coat would have been a really nice touch as the alternate to the brown and a Chewie with snow printing would have made the set unmissable even with a lacklustre build. With the Escape pod set giving us the updated R2 & 3PO that would have rounded off the Hoth based figures perfectly. Add a few Bespin based figures and we'd only be missing 4-Lom and Zuckuss to tick the whole ESB line off the list. I'm also not that bothered about having moulded visors on the helmets for the OT stuff although some slight variations of the rebel pilots face print would have been good... similar to Luke with visor up and down rather than happy and scared faces.

I bought that Batman set and there are some very good figures there. I never normally take any notice of the official figure clones but the Green Lantern is pretty good. The ZEA Batman has a good torso and is accurate on the back unlike the SY version (It has the Batradia) Arkham Batman is fantastically well printed... Add the printed arms from the SY Justice League set to give yourself the small shoulders and it's perfect: For Beyond just give yourself some regular black arms and legs and it's a fantastic figure which is VERY close to the Christo custom: I added the cape but the DLP is on the right (with regular cowl, legs etc)... Christo on the left. -
Ups and Downs of LEGO shopping online
Robianco replied to just2good's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
With eBay there's always a chance of picking something up as a bargain thanks to something being listed incorrectly or being mislabelled altogether so I like it for that but as with any item on eBay the experience is also down to the seller. BrickLink is my goto place for ordering specific parts and, on the whole, is a more reliable and cost effective way of buying especially in bulk. I use both regularly. There are also various 'car boot' or preloved sites here in the UK but when people list Lego on places like this, or in car boot sales for that matter, they tend to pump the price as they know Lego has a good secondary market value. -
It looks like there's some nice detailing in the gold area that's just visible in that lighting which I think will bring in some of the detailing people are not sure about. I'm definitely thinking there's an old and young face on there. The first image I saw of this really didn't show the facial hair that well but I now I've seen that faint grey/white print I'm certain there's a more defined darker print on the reverse.

Power of the Brick by any chance? I like those little cases but adding my custom figures into something like that would mean a whole lot of space... I think I'll have to try something else. They look great though, Chris.
