  1. I actually don't think it'll be a Batman figure this year. I don't know why... Maybe as 2011 was Bats... then we got Bizarro/Shazam followed by Supes/GA... 2014 we got Batman ZEA and last year Arsenal. I'm guessing different figure with maybe another Bats figure next year. I'm just hoping it's not '66 Batgirl... that would just be a very poor choice. Why give people a large set and have a polybag to support and expand the theme to then make an exclusive? Seeing as it's not confirmed it's not worth worrying about what might happen. For some reason I could actually see the exclusive set including Batgirl but as a preview figure for later general release.
  2. To be honest it would be easy to spray a regular Flash cowl in vinyl dye and then paint the side flashes or even use a silver pen... Quick spray of acrylic to seal it and you're done.
  3. You can always pick this one up... :) http://www.brickasylum.com/#!product-page/cd4f/57453cc8-578e-1aef-1bfa-b4d99ef5829d
  4. There are a couple of very good custom Daredevil minifigs already circulating (or have circulated) so that might take the blow away from those that would miss the SDCC figure. There's also a very good pad printed Netflix DD figure too. Plenty of custom Zoom's around too and I know Christo is planning one soon so that also would make life a little easier if it were the case.
  5. Definitely worth picking up
  6. Sounds good. Get that Rogue photographed quickly! The genuine photo of Spawn looks great too. The Marvel fans are having a field day with all this stuff... At least US DC fans have got a couple of version of Atom to look forward to along with that new Xinh wave with Arkham Knight and the iffy Bane. I'll be interested to see how close they get to the OLS designs on the CW Flash figures. There's a pad printed Zoom that has solve print on that looks fantastic. If they printed silver on that OLS version it would be very nice.
  7. Yes... Thankfully they don't normally contain exclusive figures so we're pretty safe with those.
  8. As Nemo said above I'm not going to try and extract any kind of elaboration on that comment but I'm assuming you may have heard something regarding who they are. I'll still guess that it's one of each DC and Marvel rather than two but that's as far as I'm going. If anything I hope it's something that's already been customised or something that's easily customisable that way I can go to Christo for one rather than be subject to a scalper.
  9. Send a link through for that... I'd be interested in having a look.
  10. That Atom looks pretty good. I'm interested to see just how the Arkham Knight figure looks when printed. I've seen a couple of digital customs for him with the AntMan helmet modded. I see they've also done OLS' CW Flash trilogy of figures. The bootleggers have really gone after his designs. His digital print is very good but if a bootlegger could pad the designs as good as him then they'd have something worth picking up.
  11. It's the new Lego version that's coming with the new DC DVD.
  12. There are a few bootlegs in that photo and not just the bigfigs. If a bootleg company has produced a figure you feel is good enough to display alongside other custom figures then there's no need to hide it. Custom moulded pieces are made by many companies in the US and other parts of the world which obviously aren't genuine Lego plastic so having the odd torso or head in there isn't such a big deal. Not all bootleg plastics are crap and brittle and not all Lego plastics are perfect and hard wearing.
  13. Maybe I've been lucky then but the SY figures I've kept have had pretty good plastic quality and don't stand out as inferior to Lego or other custom pad printed figures. I've got figures with are a couple of years old and had no problem with the plastic on them even when removing and changing arms or even hip pieces with legs. I must admit the leg moulding is the thing a lot of them struggle with as things are just a little too sharp but as far as torsos go I've got no complaints. With regards to print coming off there are a couple of figures I've had that have suffered from that but I've also had figures that resisted brasso better than Lego. My minifig collection is 95% genuine Lego or higher with just a few of them featuring bootleg parts... these parts are often mixed with genuine Lego parts to create better figures and I've got no complaints about them. Here's a few examples. Spot the bootleg parts from the print or plastic moulding or quality.
  14. You can get hold of some pretty poor figures but there are some SY figures that are comparable to genuine Lego. When people just dismiss bootlegs as rubbish they're missing some very good custom figures.
  15. He's been selling on eBay for years. His digital print isn't as clean as Onlinesailin's. The ink is raised quite high and you can often see the tram lines from the print nozzle in the ink. Whether he has improved things I'm not sure as I've not bought anything for quite a while. I might be wrong but I think he got accused of copying other customisers designs a few years ago... he does tend to release figures that are similar to some of Christo's but are obviously inferior due to the design and how the ink work makes the design look.
  16. Have you got the colours for Roger and Pete's hair mixed up? I'd definitely say Roger should have the tan hair.
  17. Unfortunately there's actually a bootleg piece of trans orange flame hair that would make that perfect but obviously this is the purist thread. Figure looks great as it is.
  18. It's the slight feeling of nausea at the impending reveal of the DC exclusive fig that overrides the excitement of any set reveal.
  19. Those encyclopaedias are really cheap in the UK at the moment. I picked up the TIE Advanced v A-Wing. Love both ships although the wings on the TIE could do with being a couple of studs long so I think I'll mod it that way.
  20. The thread was started 2 years ago so it might be better to PM the OP and see if he can share them.
  21. The quality of Xinh and Pogo seems to swap round between them each wave... sometimes Xinh nail it and other times Pogo have the edge. THey're all pretty decent now though. Better than Decool were although not suite as good at SY when they were doing their best stuff.
  22. I've only ever had one Zebra Bats. Christo printed 50 of them in a presentation box for a Comic Con in Asia. He sold some others privately which is where I got mine and the last two were listed on eBay. I think the price he sold his last two for would have covered his print costs. There are various sellers in the US on eBay that have them. I think they were printed in the Mexican factory and that seems to be where they've leaked from.
  23. Figures from some of the unreleased sets have started to appear on the Mexican 'Mercadito Lego' page. Hawkeye has been seen in the wild at least...
  24. The only time I've had multiple sticker sheets was in the recent UCS Red Five and I think that was because Lego knew how difficult it was to position the sticker on the canopy so they put two in it.
  25. All that hype for Dargo's poster with the huge range of figures followed by the disappointment that it wasn't going to happen and now Xinh and Pogo are doing something far more diverse and at a much better quality... at least from the much improved Pogo.
