They do if you know the person who designs the figures and prints them ;)

I know people keep asking about the Great Hall in the UCS Hogwarts and whether it will be there... but it just reminds me of the Final Duel set with the Emperor... which had a smaller version in the Death Star. There's no reason it won't be there... but I can certainly see both sides of it. Why omit a large part of the full Hogwarts set if people just want to buy one single, large set... but why bother putting too much of a hall in there when there's so much else to do and there's a well sized one available. Surely reasonable thinking would put some kind of hall in there with a view to connecting the second set. Similar to the add on 4867 to 4842... only in reverse in that you get the smaller set first.

The arm printing on the black arms really works for those figures. I've recently expanded and rounded off my Imperial army so I'm looking at a LOT of arms for those (12 DS Troopers, 6 technicians, 4 Ground Crew, 8 Gunners etc) as well as the X-Wing pilot arm sets. I'm putting in a special request to have black emblems printed on grey arms too. Firestar have got a really good digital printer so the amount the ink is raised isn't nearly as much as it is from customisers such as PPM.

For me I'd say DC comics (mostly Bat family related), Mignolaverse, Star Wars, 2000AD, Harry Potter. Belonging to that 'fandom' means I've read, and have interest, in material rom each of those subjects. In that I'm interested in 1/6 scale toys related to some of them (Only SW really although there are a couple of decent HP related 1/6 scale figures). Does 1/6 scale figures count as something you can be part of a 'fandom' of? I suppose we're all in the fandom of construction based toys too.

I recently sold the Christo version of that Rebel Friend figure.

I'm 44 and my whole childhood was Star Wars figures. A very tiny amount of Lego but not much... but Star Wars figures were every single day of my life. Once I got to 14 or 15 I generally got interested in other things... music, girls etc... that continued straight through Uni and into working life. Sold all my old Kenner Star Wars figures when i was around 22 after I finished Uni and went back home. I've had a couple of moments where I thought it would be nice to have them but to be honest they've long since passed. I don't miss them at all. I don't consider them important and I'd have probably sold them by now even if I hadn't then. I've since got into Hot Toys and Sideshow figures. I'm being selective as these things are expensive but I'll take 20 Hot Toys figures over 100s of Kenner or Hasbro figures. These things are amazing. My wife hates them. She'll get over it. It was in work when someone got the first Lego SW Snowspeeder set and thankfully the three of us in the studio were all SW fans and we all liked it. None of us were that arsed about whether anyone else thought it was cool. In the last 20 years since then I've gotten massively into Lego and certain themes and then sold up on certain themes. I was hugely into custom minifigures... then sold them all. I'm now strictly an OT SW fan but I'm not a completist of sets... I buy what I like... simple rule. A friend of mine came round to my new house around 6 moths ago and walked into my office. UCS Slave 1, UCS Red Five, Death Star, UCS Tumbler, AT-AT, AT-ST on the bookshelf, various Hot Toys SW figures, Batman books, Hellboy books, 2000AD books... he just turned round and said 'You've never changed'. That's all. As an Adult I didn't need to be anything else but myself. I took a photo of the 60 or so Lego Batman figures I had (all pre-TLBM) which had lots of customs, which I think has had around 7,000 views on Flickr. At Christmas my wife sent it to one of my friends to clean it up and crop stuff out so she could get a canvas printed for me for my office. These are people who aren't fans of Lego... or maybe any type of toy... but I've known them since I was 10 yrs old. We're friends... I'm me. We've had 30 years of life experiences together and as friends we all accept what makes each other ourselves. We go out drinking with a wider bunch of lads when we meet up and I've only known some of those for 10 years.. maybe less. Some of them might even have some light hearted banter about owning toys if they knew... Who cares? People have all their own kinks and interests. I found out one of them collects watches and sometimes gets all his watches out on a table, wears white cotton gloves and polishes them... winds them and sets the time. He's a watch geek. So what? We all have something. I'm a season ticket holder at Everton FC. I go to football matches... one of the most laddish, non-toy collecting pastimes you can have. Every single person that goes to that ground can sing songs knowing all the words to songs over decades, wear football shirts with people's names on the back, quote stats, recall goalscorers from various games across the last few seasons.. they're geeks. All geeks in their own way. I've been to evenings with ex-players and at the end of the Q&A or the meal there's a massive queue of people getting autographs... no different from going to a con and getting them from an actor. In short. Give less of a shit about what people think. Like what you like and you'll be happy.

The Piett that was in the SSD still looks perfectly good, just replace the cap with the new version. I grabbed a spare Piett torso and used a JJ Jameson head for a purist Ozzel figure. The Imperial Colonel from the Advernt Calendar matches Veers rank insignia when he visits Vader in his chamber in ESB. Jus picking that up and replacing the head would give a decent Veers. Maybe even the version in the AT-AT if you very carefully remove the print on the headset with brasso or an eraser would do.

[PRESS RELEASE] 75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017

I'm not sure but I get the feeling that rumour is based on a complete guess someone made on this board. It certainly rings a bell... but I'm definitely leaning towards that being just something completely made up. -
I'm amazed 'that' store in Portugal has any kind of ratings never mind the very high ratings they currently have. Not only do they have a ridiculous minimum order but their prices are extortionate for everything I've ever looked for.

I get the feeling they made quite a lot of every LBM set. There'll be lots of those around for a while.

It would seem so when compared to the Snowspeeder. The Hoth set also had two Speeder pilots but didn't include arm printing... I think with the UCS Snowspeeder those figures were very specific to it so we would automatically lean that way with figure specific vessels like the Y-Wing. Catanas designed the printed arms for the X and Y Wing pilots over at Firestar Toys and I expected something similar to those. -

It’s not the first image I’ve seen of that figure and the other one didn’t have arm printing so I think that’s the figure we’re getting. -
Lego is now 15% off at TRU I’m Liverpool. Just picked up the latest Cantina for around £38 which makes it more acceptable. There’s much Less Lego in he shelves than there has been so stock is dropping. If you’re brave you could wait to see if it drops by a larger amount.

Just search on eBay. I'm pretty sure Biggs is coming as is Antoc Merrick. Both of these fellas have moustaches so the regular head won't be in use. Merrick should have blonde/tan printing on his though. -

Definitely legit for that Dutch Vander figure. Nice printing around the helmet too. People have been saying it was a Y-Wing for a while but I think it got lost in the noise of all the 'It's a Super Star Destroyer or regular Star Destroyer because of the silhouette on the box' chatter. -

The Lego site has a banner on sets that are retiring soon. They normally reduce them at the same time and even take back orders on somethings. I got the Resistance Transport that way. 75192 will be around for a while. I wouldn’t stress over it. -
The grey ones are from Batman and are available at Bricks and Pieces direct from Lego as well as BrickLink. There’s lots of dual moulded legs there. These are the ones with black boots as standard https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=970c00pb411#T=C

The dark tan ones are from the new Ghostbusters figures with the print removed.

Yes. A long time. Lego.com -
Well the UK physical stores have kept to 10% discounts. On prices that are normally above everyone else that brings them roughly down to retail. I don't see them selling a great deal based on that. Maybe the US will have some better offers if it goes pop.

Were in danger of getting into broader subject territory here, folks. Let's keep it based on 2018 sets shall we? -
I think if they put a platform into a UCS Cloud City (and if/when the set gets released it will certainly have one). I don't see if being large enough to fully place a system scale Falcon. They're not going to give a 65x50 stud landing space on the outside of the main build just for that. There will probably be something for the characters to meet on with a walkway but nothing that large. There's too much for them to add inside the build... Carbon Chamber, Conference Room (for meeting with Vader), various corridors for the walk to the room/Luke arriving/escape run, Waste room for 3PO to get obliterated, Lounge area, Detention area to hold Leia, Han & Chewie, Walkway for the 'Nooooooo' moment, other places for the Luke/Vader battle. I think we might get something that could fit a Cloud Car on it so it would be useful within the confines of the set. Maybe even a Cloud Car sold around the same time.
