Ha!. Apologies. I promise to stop. I'm actually close to adding a few more pilots but removing some of the superfluous figures I've accumulated and just stuck helmets on from spare pilots. At least an end is in sight.

I know the rebel pilot thing might be boring people now... but I was just recapping on some of the pilots missing. Battle of Yavin Red Squadron Nozzo Naytaan: T-16 helmet (red stripe added if required). Male head Zal Dinnes: New Helmet needed. Female pilot head Harb Binli: Blue firebird helmet. Moustache pilot head (Firestar Biggs head) Battle of Endor Red Squadron Dorovio Bold: T-16 helmet. Female pilot head. Grizz Frix: Grey Dutch Vander helmet. Reddish brown pilot head (Firestar) Keir Santage: Grey Wedge helmet. Moustache pilot head (Antoc Merrick Advent Calendar) Battle of Yavin Gold Squadron Dex Tiree: Red firebird helmet (Grey Snowspeeder or alternative). Male pilot head Evaan Verlaine: Blue firebird helmet. Female pilot head Battle of Hoth Rogue Squadron Hobbie Klivian: Dutch Vander helmet. Male pilot head (There's a whole host of names for the rest of Rogue Squadron, Blue Squadron and Green Squadron for Hoth including someone who repainted their helmet to look like Garven Dreis. That's a huge minefield. Battle of Scarif opens up all kinds of things with KIA Red Squadron pilots etc. I'll need to take stock of things there but the list above gives us a decent go at that. I've already got Blue Squadron pilots with the Wedge, Dutch and Porkins helmet ready. I need to get another Janson helmet though.

You’re welcome, Rich. I think I’m going to make an order for another 10 Stormy sets and 10 Rebel Pilot sets. Once I’ve got them I’ll photograph them with their E-11s and the pilots with their DL-44s.

They’re a good fit. I’m the same as you... I was worried about adding the arms and them being loose but they’re a good and tight and hold poses/weapons well.

Dorovio Bold is the T-16 Pilot. Tiree has the red firebird emblem with black shadows so anything with the red emblem really rather than Porkins. Nozzo Naytaan is also the T-16 helmet. Identical to Dorovio but she’ll have a female pilot head.

Yeah... Looking at things a mod to the T-16 helmet to give it a red stripe down the middle will give me Red Nine - Nozzo Naytaan. I think Red Seven uses a standard blue firebird emblem. That means we just need Red Eight which is Zal Dinnes to complete Red Squadron for Yavin IV. Lepira uses a standard red Firebird emblem helmet as you say, so that should be straightforward. Looks like I'll be picking up several more figures from BL. Pick up two Merrick figures so we can get Gold Three. Looks like things will be much more complete in a few months.

Ha... I've actually just made a very similar post over on FB about that. Naytaan does seem to be using the T-16 helmet that Dorovio Bold wore although his has a red stripe down the middle. I've seen another promo photo with a different pilot with that same helmet though. I think I'll spray a red stripe down the helmet and get another R11 helmet to give me 11 of the 12 Red Squadron. I don't know if there's even reference for the last one is there? Or even any of the other Gold Squadron pilots other than the three on my photo? Rogue One really set the cat amongst the pigeons with these helmets. I've seen Krail's helmet on someone else, a couple of pilots with a helmet very similar to Naeco/Janson's helmet... lots of variations. And then we have to get the ROTJ pilots finalised with Grizz Frix etc It's very easy. Put a bit of masking tape over the print you want to keep to protect it and then get some Brasso polish and gently rub it over the areas you want to remove. Don't rub too hard as I can dull the plastic where you've rubbed.

I think they're going up for sale in the relatively near future.

That's exactly what's happening. It's the only chance I managed to get them all in the same place at once! ;) Looks like an Imperial Deck Officer then. I'll be picking up more arms for those along with another pair of Scanning Technician arms for the pair that scan the Falcon.

I must admit I'm not sure. The issue I think might be the availability of the olive green helmet which is the closest Lego has to Garven's helmet. And yes... I've just noticed that Puck is wearing the wrong bloody uniform and is in Hoth gear. Time to head over to BL!! When Merrick gets released in the AC I'll take stock of Green, Grey and Blue Squadron pilots I have and maybe get a full family photo. And for anyone hesitant about the Stormtrooper arms I'm glad to report they look great. As do the rebel pilot arms, Imperial technician arms and the black Imperial arms with white insignia. Looking at the ROTJ footage there are black suited Imps with the white insignia.. not sure if they're pilots, technicians, troopers or what... but they're there and these arms look great on them.

Such a really nicely proportioned MOC. I'm becoming more and more interested in things like this over some actual sets. I've recently sold my 75054 AT-AT as I just fell out of love with the scale and look of it. but this diorama, even at a much smaller scale, gets across the size AT-AT and the Snowspeeder far better.

Well Dryden Vos was meant to be a CGI character but when they did the reshoots the original actor wasn’t available so Paul Bettany took over. That may be why he isn’t in the sets.

I don’t think so. I bought a Hogwarts Castle really cheap a few years ago and tried to get it to break up but nothing helped. Ended up selling it on as a glued incomplete set.

I think that's basically the point. If criticism appears to be constructive in some minor way at least then its a talking point. Nothing about the comments regarding the screen accurate designs in the Aragog set appear to be constructive. Just a moan. A big fat moan. (I wasn't aiming for constructive) ;)

That’s pretty much exactly how I updated mine.

I know what you mean... and I made my thoughts known when I first saw them from the front. But the more I look at them, especially when compared with my Sideshow Snowspeeder Luke figure, the new helmet is a pretty accurate shape. It's now the size that seems to be more of the issue. I think after a little while I'll get used to it... and once more of them start to appear they'll feel normal. They just seem very large currently.

The side profile actually looks like a good shape. A little large but a very good likeness of the Rebel helmets. Maybe it's something that will grow on my once I've lived with it for a while. I'm looking at my Sideshow Snowspeeder Luke figure and the helmet shape does look pretty accurate even from the front.
