    I doubt this one will ever see discounts. There may be a slim chance with the amount of retailers that are sticking this but if you’re going to keep waiting for those then I think you’d be in danger of missing out eventually. Plenty of people who are prepared to buy it for full retail.

    I genuinely don’t get the issue with the Black VIP card. It’s a £650 set. The largest set Lego has ever produced and one of the most iconic vehicles in pop culture. I’m really not convinced anybody spent that money just because they thought they’d get a couple of extra offers throughout the year. Enjoy your card... it’ll look nice and you’ll get an occasional thing throughout the extra 8 months of the year.

    I really wouldn't stress over anything that's basically just guessing at what something may look like... that nobody has seen. Let the designers do their work on the main D2C set... and THEN see if it isn't working for you.

    I think I got the email after I'd stepped foot into a Lego store to find out the promotion was happening. No notice of it happening in advance.

    The SD release for early this year was never going to happen. The Y-Wing had been confirmed with retail partners long before that rumour ever surfaced. It's pure guesswork for anything else.

    If people actually believe that then I hope Lego put a Death Star on the Cloud City box just to annoy/confuse people. The Falcon silhouette was on the DS box as an homage to the scene during the final run as the Falcon shoots the TIE fighter. Cloud City was on the Falcon box as the Falcon is based on ESB (but has TFA figures also to tie in with the sequels). There was a Cloud City on the background of the UCS Slave 1 set and that was a delayed fall set. 75095 TIE was a May release in 2015 but had a Falcon silhouette on it too. May 2013 Red Five had a DSII on it (Even though Red Five was never part of the attack on the second Death Star)... that same DSII was on the Fall 2011 SSD set. DSII also appeared in the background of the UCS B-Wing. But as yet no new DSII. Why is that?! It's been hinted at for years! There is no pattern or secret messages in UCS packaging as far as I'm concerned. Anything people find is pure coincidence.

    Yeah. As excited as people are about what’s coming everything gets very muddied when genuine info from people who know, gets mixed with info from people who are mostly guessing along with wishlists from people who hope something is coming. The lines between each becomes blurred. Add in fake leaks and it becomes painful to read. My rule is normally if SVL or Cat havent said it then I’ll take it with a pinch of salt. Nobody else here has actually seen anything or is likely to.

    Well there's probably two... maybe three people at most on this thread who may actually know something... and i don't mean being able to track through online store databases for set numbers. Kat is one of them. If she's hinting that the comment may not entirely be accurate then I'd take it as the comment may not entirely be accurate. If they can't say why then there'll also be a reason for that. I'll read into it that there may be some connection possible without the tree going into the Great Hall.

    That’s the image that was used on the backing card for the Death Squad Commander figure from Kenner... maybe why they made the figure with a grey uniform.

    Nice! I split mine between regular pilots and Hoth pilots but if there’s a helmet for both then I have two helmets. I didn’t bother with the Reistance helmet or Ani’s Pod Racer helmet as they were never worn in the OT.

    Minifigure scale is a difficult thing to work out accurately as minifigures aren't to scale with regular humans.

    It doesn’t matter whether you actually hold the black card in hand to get the benefits. It’s a souvenir so as long as it arrives at some point it’ll be nice in your wallet or on display somewhere.

    I think most system scale sets are close to minifig scale. Snowspeeders are really close. I’d guess the X-Wing that’s coming will be very close. That’s the reason I’m actually about to sell my Red Five. I’d prefer things closer to minifig scale to sit with the UCS Falcon and Slave 1.

    When I think back, what those people did back then still looks pretty amazing even today. I can’t help but think about the priest ion of the Stormy helmets though. Make moulds for ANH... then repurpose some and make a few other for ESB. Then when it comes to ROTJ... ‘Can you make any more from that mould?’... ‘Probably... but they might look a bit shit.’ ‘Don’t worry... they’re legging it round a forest. Nobody will notice.’ I actually like some of the retconning stories. Like Red Leader’s helmet used on Hoth... Why? Well now it’s because the person that used it is the son of someone who was friends with Dreis so he repainted his helmet to look like his.

    Of the top of my head I can’t remember the names but the one on the left was on the Death Star while the one one the right was posted in the Endor Bunker.

    The point being that 6 months or so before the relaunch of the flagship SW set they released an expanded version of a small part of that set with exactly the same minifigures. Same as having the small wizard battle set that preceded Orthanc. There’s a precedent set whereby Lego are happy to double up on spaces and characters. Hogwarts might be different but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some kind of Hall space in the UCS set. Just because there’s a stand-alone section doesn’t mean they won’t include it. The possible modular nature of the build might indicate it’s not... but I just wouldn’t be surprised if it was, at least to some small degree. In an ideal world it wouldn’t be. The hall would attach to another part of the build, either the Willow and an expanded part of the grounds, or more of the castle itself (or potentially both).

    I normally find that just clicking on an image and then clicking the 'Share' arrow gives me a link with 4 tabs (Share, Embed, Email, BBCode). The first one is just 'share'. I paste that link into the box: After a second or two the photo loads in and you don't get the text after the image appears.

    Very possibly. I'm not a fan of this kind of leg build at all so aesthetically it's not something I'd ever go for. I'd rather just buy some red legs and mask them off and spread them to get the desired effect. I've done that previously with yellow legs getting sprayed up to look like yellow boots on black legs. That worked well for me.

    The top part of that mould is all wrong for a standard Stormtrooper though so it's not something that would be used for those.

    They were both available at the same time. The throne room was actually discounted if bought with the Death Star.

    It's the minifigure hand holding the 'T' pin in place so the 1x1 clip can attach to it. The images shows the torso from the side.
