  1. Best to call the stores. I saw a few at Sherway on Saturday.
  2. Nice to see more GBC stuff. I have been working on an accelerator module too. It flings the balls to my target but I haven't got the feeder sorted out yet. I attached my wheel with lift arms and pins to the ramp so it stays in place.
  3. Cool. Do you have NXT making the choo choo train sounds? Maybe have some touch sensors for the bell and horn sounds for the kids to play with.
  4. If you go at busy time with a big line up, the staff wouldn't notice as much if the barcode scans correctly and you have other items to ring through. They're basically listening for the laser scanner beep and tossing the items in the bag and getting you out of there asap to keep the line moving.
  5. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me, the official Lego set is 8258.
  6. Welcome aboard. Good to have more Technic fans.
  7. Welcome to EB. This is the place many of us addicts hang out.
  8. Funny, I picked up the exclusive 41999 set at the Lego Store yesterday. Thought very long and hard about my needs and family needs and decided to put it back on the shelf. The addiction can be managed.
  9. Looks good. I think I like your previous upper window design better. The fun is to build something within your budget.
  10. They were sold out of Back to the Future. I guess their customers are the non-Technic crowd. Not that hard to get five of your friends or relatives to buy for you.
  11. 5 random CMFs.
  12. I saw a couple of boxes of 41999 on the shelf at my local Lego store today. I saw a couple guys pick up the box, look at it and put it back on the shelf.
  13. Well done. The "swing" feature looks ilke it can come in handy when it is operating on railroad tracks.
  14. I cycled by a new sewage pumping station construction site the other day. I think yellow led by a wide margin. There was one orange crane. I wouldn't mind more orange. I'm starting to like it after getting the Unimog.
  15. Getting a 41999 can't hurt. It'll make rm8 happy. Yup, it can get expensive. I started Technics a few years ago. I went with current sets and try to buy them on sale to stretch my funds.
  16. Interesting. I found that the product description writer for the website also made a mistake in the product description for the Friend's Mia Magic Tricks set. Website says coins, cups, scarves included with the accessories but they are not in the set when I bought it. I think the original set design plan was to have them. Along the way it was changed and no one passed the info to the marketing department.
  17. Welcome to EB, Ian.
  18. I believe it carries one ICBM with multiple warheads and dummies to confuse the anti-missile defense systems. Are you also going to build the support vehicles to go with it? The Launch Assisting Support Vehicle, Communications, Refueler, and Combat Control.
  19. Most impressive. Crazy amount of Technic lift beams. They do look good for the hull. Maybe it is the rounded ends on those beams.
  20. Which country are you in? Lego Shop at Home (http://shop.lego.com) if your country is supported by them. There are also BrickLink and Lego Education (which costs a bit more than Shop at Home).
  21. [pid][/pid] 151B Nick Barret posted his modernized HMS Victory on MOCpages. "Stalwart of the British navy for 50 years, Admiral Nelson's flagship, now equipped for 21st century warfare..." More details and pics on his MOCpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/365933 [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
