  1. Got my son into Lego before I became an AFOL. Now that he is in his Dark Ages and all his Lego is mine.
  2. I like those hand made and painted sails. They look nicely made.
  3. I would guess they gave priority for the US education market. If they are having quality problems then they probably don't have the quantities to fulfill the education and S@H markets demands. I wonder if Las Vegas bookies are taking bets on when they will show up on S@H? Forget about the British Royal baby gender/birth.
  4. You could try ordering them from Lego Education US http://www.legoeducation.us/eng/product/power_functions_large_motor/2648 http://www.legoeducation.us/eng/product/power_functions_servo_motor/2649
  5. The piece is fine to me. I think it was used in some Star Wars sets like the V-wing star fighter.
  6. I think the Unimog is a good starting point for parts to use in your vehicle MOCs.
  7. They look good. Love that piggy. I don't play minecraft but set up a minecraft server for my son and his friends. I'll get them for sure.
  8. Impressive. How long did it take to build?
  9. [pid][/pid] 151C Sean Edmison built this two masted pirate sloop. More images on his flickr photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/sedmison/
  10. Welcome aboard, Daisy.

VBBN, interesting that your center console looks a bit Decepticon-ish.
  12. Unpacked my Brickfete stuff.
  13. Thanks for the comparison review. The 41999 is definitely much nicer to me. P.S. Google Translate didn't translate the comparision table.
  14. If you can ask the Lego executive in charge of Power Function production, that would be great. Some times companiess may not provide even their own customer service reps with all the nitty gritty details. Start from the top down. I was hoping to score a servo motor on weekend after winning a team speed build contest. We had to build the Crawler and normally the winning team gets to part out the set. Sadly that was not the case this year. I guess I'll have to patiently wait for S@H and enjoy my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle set prize in the meantime. Sometimes Murphy's Law happens.
  15. Very nice! Do you have a video of it in action?
  16. Emma Maersk would be a nice model. Here is recent container ship MOL Comfort breaking in half: http://gcaptain.com/mol-comfort-incident-photos/
  17. The Lego Discovery Centre had a flyer in this Saturday's Toronto Star newspaper. In the Useful Information section on the last page of the flyer, they have the adult policy for the attraction area. The adult policy could also be so that children can enjoy the attraction area without competing with teenagers or adults for hands-on play time and parts. I was there on adult night. Some of the adults brought along children. Little kids wouldn't stand a chance against me grabbing all the good parts for the build contest or hogging all the Duplo at the earthquake tables to build the highest tower.
  18. Got to play with the carousel at the unveiling at Brickfete. It was fun cranking it around and around. It wouldn't be too difficult to motorize it if one is so inclined.
  19. Fabulous! Friends won't know who's spying on them.
  20. I have two Technic sets waiting to be built. 8053 Mobile Crane 8071 Bucket Truck
  21. Captain Braunsfeld. I am not sure where your post disappeared to. I see you have tried again and it worked.
  22. Very nice, just saw this on Brickshelf before coming here. (your folder is public).
  23. Love all those dubs. Excellent work!
