  1. Does the tool also check for voters eligibility, points allocations, and that contestants aren't voting for themselves? I think that may be more work than the tallying.
  2. Lovely set. I miss those classic 4 wide vehicles. I suppose it is not too hard to MOC a modern version.
  3. Trains like Monster Fighter's Ghost Train and The Lone Ranger Constitution Train Chase do not come motorized. Constitution Train Chase comes with tracks though.
  4. Installed a new train motor on my AEM-7AC locomotive.
  5. Great find. It takes patience to build GBCs.
  6. Another way is to put the voting thread images into the EuroBricks gallery. I've seen that done with the contests in the other themes. I think as Moderator you have access to load up the EB gallery space all you want. This way we are not dependent on an image hosting site being up. Flickr does go down from time to time, not as much as some others. Also it prevents contestants from modifying their pictures. I can change the pictures on, for example, Brickshelf and still keep the same URLs. It is handy when I write reviews and decide to update a nicer image. I don't have to go back to modify every site where I posted the picture with the new link if I kept the same picture file name.
  7. There are many of them on Brickshelf -> http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=half+track&stype=fi
  8. I tried it before and found track spacing is too wide for the 14mm balls used for GBCs. You could make a roller coaster to carry and dump the balls.
  9. MegaBloks is Canadian. Their larger First Builder (ages 1-3) stuff isn't too bad. Their quality is inversely proportional to brick size.
  10. Check out this thread from May 2013 on investing: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83038
  11. Replacing the batteries is pretty easy. You'll need a small philips (+) screwdriver to open it up. You can find the batteries at Radio Shack, dollar stores, on eBay, etc.
  12. Search engine web crawler bots probably.
  13. Looks like one is opening at Carrefour Laval in Laval, Quebec, Canada.
  14. Advent calendars. Wondering if I should open the packettes and start building or keep them for another time?
  15. Very nice. Red and white is the colour scheme for PetroCanada gas stations too.
  16. Well, there is one way to find out. You can probably use the transformer from a MIG welder.
  17. One train motor.
  18. How old are your students? If they are too young for fun robot and technical stuff, you could try Lego Bible vignettes builds.
  19. I thought I had a weak magnet until I shook it and the magnet inside the plastic re-aligned itself. You can also lock the couplers together with a 1x2 plate.
  20. Nice. The track could be white for snow/ice. Then you can have real ice racing.
  21. Very nice. I see a lot of them in Chinese movies. I keep thinking a kung-fu battle is going to pop up in the court yard at the night.
  22. [pid][/pid] 240A brick to form posted a Black Rock Tribe display over on MOCpages. Hmm, what are those islanders and pirates up to? More images on MOCpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/375631 [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  23. There are less health risks with feeling the bags than X-rays. Has anyone trying using millimeter wave scanners on the CMF packages?
