This is the closest thing that I can easily find, and may be what you were referring to already:

Excellent. Nice variety of styles with the towers, and that pop of color really works! The detail on the wall is well done, too; not distracting, but lots to like when you look at it and adds to the overall aesthetic in a subtle but important way. Great trees!

This is wonderful! The horses are fantastic, but the entire design is great. The little details - no pun intended - like the wagon being up on 2 wheels as it corners really make it a stand-out MOC. I will say that the gun the bandit has seems more like a cannon at that size, but that's a minor quibble.

Nice, compact build that captures the look well. I also like the timber roof and the simple banner under the roof peak in a nice added detail.

Welcome to EB, Kubaccino! That's a great story about the family coming together to build the old sets and re-discovering a love of Lego. Looking forward to seeing more of your MOCs. Happy building!

[MOC] "Broadside Bay" by Jason B (@the_brick_stop)

Great design, and spot-on with the Classic Pirates vibe! That little bit of added detail on the walls and roof is a good thing while keeping the nostalgia factor high. Excellent build! -
Looks good. i think I would have rounded-off the top of the cargo area instead of using cheese slopes, but you've captured the look and all the essential features nicely.

Most Lego elements are made from ABS, but other plastic types are used for some (like tires, the softer hair of Friends minidolls, etc.), and there have been some chemistry changes over the years. I think it was in the 60s that they moved from cellulose acetate as the primary plastic type for the bricks, but the more recent change to chemistry you might be talking about was removing cadmium (used for color) back in the 80s. Other than the play value, there is nothing addictive abut them. I'm not sure what chemicals you may be talking about otherwise; except for pure elements, everything is "chemicals." If you just do a quick Google search you can find the information Lego puts out on what is used in making their products and safety statements, etc.. This is a pretty decent, short summary of some changes over the years: https://www.compoundchem.com/2018/04/09/lego/

Looks great. Nice, simple ornamentation above the doors, and the climbing vegetation is very nice. Those greens work really well with the tan colors of the wall and ground.

Love it! Nicely captured, and the hair in particular is wonderful! Nice how you've managed the spectacles, too. Great build! -
Those are adorable! Great level of detail without being too busy, especially for that small size. The road sign is simple but delightful and a great addition to the build.

Classic base plates being retired by February 2022
deraven replied to wesker's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This part I agree with, but it works both ways. TLG does indeed know how large the market is for the baseplates and if their business decision is to not produce them anymore, that's all there is to it. It's not a matter of being able to produce them in-house, it's a matter of if they want to do so at all. I certainly think most of us here would prefer they continue to make them, but the same discussions were had for the 9-volt train system over a decade ago and here we are... -
Welcome to EB, Christian! You've got some nice microscale MOCs, and you'll find plenty of like-minded folks here to give & find more inspiration. Looking forward to seeing more of your builds. Happy building!

Lovely, clean build with lots of atmosphere! The antlers and horn are nicely done and really add a nice touch to make the build feel more complete without cluttering up the small space. Nice build. -
It's got a Classic feel while incorporating modern details and really strikes a nice balance. The color is lovely, and I really like the foliage under the window. Great build!

Looks great at that scale. Thanks for sharing!

As a MOC of a subway train it could use some polishing, but as a set for this awesome diorama, it's fantastic! The stark lighting and color selection really sells it, too. Nice build!

Looks great! One of my favorite sheds, for sure! Lovely exterior and as has been mentioned already, the interior details are just as good. Bustling with activity and so many nice bits to look at and enjoy. I like all the safety/warning signs mixed in, too.

Yes, starting to appear in sets this year, and phasing in over a 4-year period until all the single-use plastic is gone. They lay out some of the timelines here: https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/sustainable-packaging/

Just paper pouches phasing in over a 4 year period beginning now. Nothing too exciting, and they've talked about it a fair bit if you're interested in more info: https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/2020/september/sustainability?CMP=AFC-AffiliateUS-TnL5HPStwNw-2116208-115554-1

This is awesome! You've captured the shape and little details well (love the spikes!) while still making the functional features work. Great build!
