  1. These topics bring back so many good memories! I don't know if I noticed at the time, but looking back now I really like how they slip in the occasional Classic Space minifig through at least the Futuron-era ads. I miss the simple ad photography where they have various sets laid out in mid-play - that was always so inspiring to me as a kid (along with the classic Idea Books)!
  2. Well, looking at the actual pics on the auction page, the printing on the figure it's even remotely up to Lego standard. And no info on a Ronaldo Lego minifig? If it was out there, there'd be plenty of references for it. Pretty sure it's a fake/custom.
  3. Just search Red Futuron and you'll find it. I think the PN is: 973p6d The jacket with Classic Space logo are plentiful and inexpensive: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0298c01#T=S&C=5&O={"color":5,"iconly":0}
  4. Use a red Futuron torso, or the one in my avatar pic to help complete the look (in Purist format).
  5. What fred67 said is a good way to quickly get into the ballpark. If you had boxes and instructions, I would be asking more than original retail price. Just the parts (in like-new condition), I'd start at retail and then adjust based on average SOLD prices on eBay and prevailing asking prices on Bricklink. Go a little lower to move them more quickly, and add the 2 sentences of your personal story about why you're selling as (to fred67's other point) that helps people connect with and trust you as a seller regardless of other factors.
  6. Yeah, I don't think the timing is right at the moment, but with Nexo Knights gone and no other medieval/castle theme out there, when they're ready to do that again I think new LoTR might be an option... especially if the new series does well. But they might also just go with generic fantasy that could play to both LoTR as well as the end of Game of Thrones. I'd be happy with more LoTR, that's for sure, but we'll just have to wait and see!
  7. Since you don't have that many sets to deal with, here's my quick feedback: Sell the non-Star Wars minifigures either separately or in lots (like a Marvel Heroes lot, Villians lot, etc.) and the sets in bulk/as bulk brick. For the SW stuff, sell the complete sets including the minifigs. Also sell the Hobbit set separately as a complete set. Ebay will probably be the quickest and easiest way to move that stuff, and since none of it is particularly rare I don't think there'll be much difference in how much you make from them unless you want to take the time to sell them part-by-part on Bricklink (but that will be a whole process and you'll likely end up selling some bricks at a higher rate and then not selling other stuff at all meaning you're then stuck with a less desirable bulk lot to do something with). Another option if you have it in your locality is to put up the complete sets on Facebook Marketplace - that could work well and by quite easy and quick.
  8. Do you have the boxes and/or instructions? I think that's a big factor for deciding value re: selling as sets or pieces. Generally speaking, you'll get more money for complete sets (more for any with the box as well), but for larger number of lower-value sets you're probably better off selling in lots. I would sell in lots of sets if you can, rather than bulk brick by the pound or something, as that seems to get the best return. The caveat to all of that is demand; you'll get more cash for a lot of small, complete sets, but it may take longer to sell. It'll probably end up as a hybrid of larger/more valuable sets sold separately, mid-level sets in various group lots, and then the remainder as general bulk. At least, that's my opinion. Do you have a set list of what's in your collection as a starting point? Obviously some themes move more quickly than others...
  9. A lot of fun. The micro ships are also my favorite part (and you did a good job with the focus on that pic).
  10. Welcome to EB, Legolost. Happy building!
  11. That's lovely - thanks for sharing!
  12. Really great at that very compact size! How stable are the builds?
  13. Welcome to EB, TheNev99! Happy building!
  14. Looks great. I especially like the carriage. Regarding the photos: The paperclip/upload option on Eurobricks is only for very small images to be used in your signature line here on the board. You only get 100K total, so even 1 regular image probably pushes the limit of available space. For sharing photos of MOCs, etc., you'll want to use a 3rd party service, so here's a tutorial on linking/embedding Flickr images in your posts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/97921-flickr-tutorial/
  15. That's great! A bit too much red/brown for me in the pub (as it relates to the scene as a whole - standalone would probably be fine). I like the shop window on the bottom floor of the bakery, and the balcony on the pub. I love the blacksmith shop! Nice little display of the different swords there, the detailing on the stonework is lovely, and I like the style of the upper floor. Nice build!
  16. Agreed! This should be up on Ideas. You've captured so much, so well, at a reasonable scale! The landscape, SD, city - all wonderfully done!
  17. Welcome to EB, kaulsaksham! Per site guidelines, posting to promote Ideas submissions is prohibited, though posting to share your MOC and then noting & linking to the Ideas page is OK. The paperclip/upload option on Eurobricks is only for very small images to be used in your signature line here on the board. You only get 100K total, so even 1 regular image probably pushed you to the limit of available space. For sharing photos of MOCs, etc., you'll want to use a 3rd party service and I think most folks would recommend Flickr. Here's a tutorial on linking/embedding Flickr images in your posts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/97921-flickr-tutorial/ That being said, I did run into your project on the site the other day and I like it a lot. I especially like the vegetation around the bridge base, and the little dock and stairs that go down through the support under the inn. Very nice!
  18. Yeah, definitely pays to read the tutorials/FAQs! The paperclip/upload option on Eurobricks that you're talking about is only for very small images to be used in your signature line here on the board. You only get 100K total, so even 1 regular image probably pushed you to the limit of available space. For sharing photos of MOCs, etc., you'll want to use a 3rd party service and I think most folks would recommend Flickr, if not using a Lego-focussed image hosting service. Here's a tutorial on linking/embedding Flickr images in your posts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/97921-flickr-tutorial/ To delete an attachment, click the drop-down menu from your username at the top right corner of the page and go to My Attachments. You can remove it from there.
  19. White usually works well, but I think any lighter color is OK. With what you show there, I think it'll be fine as it's both a fairly light color as well as having a bit of texture which will actually make it easier to see pieces (vs a small tan tile becoming camouflaged there if it were a similar solid color). One thing I do while sorting is put a big scoop of the batch I'm working with onto an inverted large white Sterilite lid (from one of my larger storage bins) and then work off of that wherever I'm sorting. Obviously a nice high-contrast for visibility of the pieces, but the lip around the edge of the lid where it goes over the sides of the bin helps keep any small parts from escaping. As to your other question- if you have the option for an adjustable height table, I find it's always nice to have some variety in position if you're doing a tedious task like sorting for any longer period of time.
  20. Nice build- I like the chairs, and the lighting really caught my eye. Beautifully done on that.
  21. Nice. I like the overall size and design, colors, etc.. I'm surprised with how well the comparably simple studs-out detailing is and how it adds texture and visual interest while actually being less "busy" to my eye than some other wall techniques. I don't know how I'd feel about it at larger scales, but it surely works here!
  22. Welcome to EB, FBros! I like your church/cathedral builds in particular. Looking forward to seeing more of your MOCs. Happy building!
  23. The original Rocky & Bullwinkle comes to mind. And Tailspin. Not exactly unknown, but definitely don't hear them come up spontaneously the way some other shows do.
  24. Hello Mogunitia - welcome to EB! Nice of your son to help you get back into Lego. Happy building!
  25. Really nice build overall, and I particularly like the techniques you used for the exposed bits of brick on the buildings. Lots of character for such relatively small buildings.
