Just thought I'd share these dark action shots I took with my phone of the interior of the DO. This new modular really is a sight to behold! -

Love your custom decals, the dome windows are nice and I love the inside, it looks so cozy. Great job!
-
You captured the effects of a drastic snowfall perfectly! Great entry.

That tree is amazing, and I love how many small details you were able to bring into this. Definetly one of my favorite entries!

List your favourite modulars in order of preference, and explain why?

1. Palace Cinema I'm probably the only person who thinks this is the best modular. There's just something about it. The different style? The size? The colors? I don't really know, I just love it. 2. Fire Brigade This was the first modular set I got, and that's why it's my second favorite. I just remember being so amazed at all the details. I was in my dark ages when the first two came out, and I unfortunately never got them. 3. Parisian Restaurant I love the colors, and the sheer fact that it's a restaurant and we hadn't gotten that in the modular series was great. 4. Grand Emporium The inside was a bit meh, and the outside looks wonderful next to the FB. Great modular, still. 5. Green Grocer I can't really rate this one, as I don't own it, but the sand green looks really wonderful and we need a grocery store in our towns. 6. Café Corner Again, I don't own this one, but by the looks of it there is some great details and would complement any city nicely. 7. Town Hall Not too many cool techniques, but I do really like the pillars. It is also the tallest modular, so I complements my city well. 8. Pet Shop Process of elimination. It's not a bad modular by any means, I just like the other ones more. -
Gosh, everyone's entry is better than mine! Tough competition this year. I love all the details, the penguin sled is very well done. The white and the pearl gold really pop. Good luck in the contest!

I'm not sure this is "similar in style to other Winter Village sets" like the rules say, but it's awesome anyway! The handcuffs are nice for the chandelier, and I really like the chimney. Great entry!

Wow great job, I especially like the sign and the pallets. This is the kind of Lego building you look at from a distance and can't tell if it's Lego or not.

Hello all! This my entry for this year's Expand the Winter Village Contest, the Game Room and Hot Tub. It's meant for the elves and Santa, who work long hours, to get some much-needed leisurely time. Some of the images are low-quality (like the first one), but I don't have the best camera/editing software. I hope that's not too much of a distraction from the build itself . Anyway, this took me about a week and a half to complete, and I hope you all like it! The main focus of this building is the exterior. Lots of details are present and I tried to give the building a unique style because I thought it would make sense if the elves had their own way that they design buildings. The chimney has a very rugged, worn-down, weathered appearance to it, which complements the building nicely in my opinion. The interior, while not as detailed as the exterior, is packed pretty full with 3 different board games, a fireplace, and a snow shovel. The second story is twice as tall as the ground floor (elf construction is weird, huh). The flooring in the kitchen is sunken in, too. This is the bakery that makes the best pizza and banana cream pies in the North Pole! There is a shelf with wine and soda, a handy step-stool, ladder, brick oven, and a place to sit and eat. ...And now the hot tub. This was a last minute edition to the build, and I think it turned out great! I tried to keep the style unique just as with the main building. Santa seems to be enjoying a much-desereved glass of wine. I encourage you to go here and see some more of the photos, like the back of the building and the attic : https://www.flickr.c...57649258976898/ Here's a link to my entry from last year in case you are curious what that looked like : http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89353#entry1759582 Well, that's it! Wishing everyone else entering this contest good luck and a fun time building C&C welcome.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
CardinalBricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
It's the fist-shaped pieces that go over the minifig's hands (not sure what to call them) from the Ultra Agents $20 set and some of the gorillas from Chima. -
Thank you everyone!

Hello Eurobricks! I've had this MOC laying around for a while and I'm just getting around to showing it. Sorry about the photos as they're not the best quality, but they'll do. Starting with the outside, a lot of details are present, most notably the pool, outdoor shower, palm tree, awnings, stonework, grill tile pattern, outdoor bar, and of course all that glass! Also, I tried to put a variety of textures and colors to really bring out that modern look. Let's have a look at the inside The interior is full of colors, which really brings it to life. There is a lot going on too. Squeezed in there is a living room, dining area, kitchen, stairwell, computer desk, and even another bedroom. I forgot to take a picture of the dining table, but you can kind of see it in the picture above. Wow, look at that Han in cabonite poster! This kid also appears to like action figures. As you can see in the kitchen, the glass can fold in accordion style to serve outdoor guests at the bar and bring the outdoors in a little, which is something I wanted to add. The upstairs features 2 child bedrooms, a master bedroom, a work desk, a laundry room, and a bathroom. Again, very squeezed in. Not much going on in the girl's bedroom, just some perfumes and furniture and stuff. Looks like the other kid likes LEGO. Cool! He's got his Modulars, stack-ons, and shelf of MOCs. Here is the master bedroom. There is a dresser, walk-in closet, bookshelf, rug, side tables, and of course the big ol' bed! Here's a view of the whole top floor from above so you can get everything in perspective. Sorry I didn't do this with the ground floor, but I think you can forgive me. That's all folks! C&C welcome.

I really wish I would have never typed in a status in the first place that way I wouldn't have to keep editing it

I despise that molded dragon, it looks like a McDonald's toy. They would have brick-built that 5 years ago. And why didn't they? It would allow Smaug to be an accurate size, and you wouldn't have a set that looks bad on the shelves (~800 pieces for $130). It would also allow for more articulation and playability. They do it all the time in Creator and Ninjago!

First MOC - WIP - Lord Business HQ with Evil Lair - LDD
CardinalBricks replied to rockethead26's topic in LEGO Town
I was recently on LDD where I haven't been for months, and there were lots of new parts... Mixels pieces, corner tiles, and a lot of the CMF accessories. There was also a solid 1X4X6 door in flesh like in the Simpson's House (that was the only solid color they had) Maybe that would work good for your bathroom if you can find it. -
