  1. I use a brand called Testors. It's used mostly for painting model cars I think, put it works well for plastic too. It's pretty expensive, but it's worth it because the paint comes out shiny and clean. Make sure you take a look at the paint through its glass container, though, because sometimes it will turn out really runny. You'll know the good from the bad once you see them side by side. You will also have to buy the Testors paint remover, too, it won't come off with water. I usually use a Q-tip to remove the paint. Also use this to remove paint off the paintbrush if you need to change colors/ you're done. If you know these rules, Testors is a great brand for customizing.
  2. This isn't Facebook! Why a status?...

  3. I like it. It's simple, yes, but it looks like something you'd see on a train. The light brick also gives it a little wow factor. Good first MOC!
  4. The strong man looks like Kurt Cobain.
  5. The extra pieces you got seen pretty normal. I don't think it was a weight issue. I would say about 1 in 20-25 sets have a missing piece. I always get the worst luck, though, when it comes to missing pieces, so I'd say about 1 in every 5-6 sets I get have one missing.
  6. That's really cool! I'd like to see this made into one of those rides where the boat rocks back and forth.
  7. That looks cool! I like the classic feel.
  8. For me it's about the usefulness the set will have in the long run. I'm not gonna buy the 75043 AT-AP because to me it looks like grey slanted plates and technic threw up all over it, the thing isn't very recognizable, and overall it looks bad. I won't have much use for the parts in the future when I take it apart, either. I can't keep everything built because of the lack of space I have to display my LEGO. Sure, it's nice to have the new Commander Gree and Tarful, but it's $60 too. All that makes it a no for me. Vehicles such as the Star Destroyer and the Millennium Falcon are just a bunch of grey too, but they are so iconic and look great that I'll find a place for them in my precious space I have available. I don't collect CW sets either. I will buy some battle packs, however, even though the set part isn't that great because the figs are so cool and you get 4 of them. I love playsets, too, and when they realease one for SW I'll almost always get it. You catch my drift?
  9. I just don't like the look of it with all the huge pieces. I understand what they are trying to do with the Juniors sets, but it's just a matter of preference. I also don't like the minifigure selection. Sure, the bright-blue batman is cool but you just get him, Robin, and The Joker, which are common and easy to get.
  10. Juniors defend the Batcave.
  11. Dusted my sets and their shelves.
  12. That's a great idea with that 3 in one model for GL! They need to do that.
  13. Can't think of anything to put on his status...

  14. I love how you raised the rug up a little, and that scoll on the table looks great. Loving that bookshelf with the drawers, too. Good job!
  15. The new Luke head is pretty terrible, but you got to admit that it does kind of look like Mark Hamill!
  16. I love that we're getting a lot of OT sets this summer, but I'm so disappointed by the new Cantina set! I have lots of complaints, but here's my biggest complaint. The minifigure selection! I'm glad we're getting a Bith minifigure, but give us just 1, and 2 different figures! They made a new mold in the 2014 Jek-14 set that would work great for a creature. I also would have liked a Dr. Evazan figure. Is anyone else as let down with that set as I am?
  17. Is editing his status

  18. Wow, that's surprising. The service at mt Lego store is always great, and the employees are very helpful. I'm not sure what's up with your store.
  19. I searched for it on Bricklink and couldn't find anything. If there's no Lego Group symbol on it, it's probably not Lego.
  20. I'm picturing a tall, $200 skyscraper for one of the Modulars. Not extremely tall, but a little taller than the TH. The detail on the outside will be simple, like most skyscrapers/office buildings, and that's how they will have more room for pieces to make it taller.
