  1. Depends for what. For small plates on small plates, at least an old one is required, so for that they are better. But the new ones works better for plates in the middle of a larger plate, and are required for jumper plates (until Lego added a groove to them).
  2. Thanks! I'll update the page with the info I saw the set on Bricklink (when trying to find sets with these green parts) but didn't check enough to find that particular build.
  3. In episode 2.04 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Amy build a Lego house for Terry, who plays the role of a 7-year old boy for a test. Terry destroys the construction. http://bricks.inmovi.es/movie_2467372_Brooklyn-Nine-Nine.html --------- In the movie "The Truth About Romance", minifigs from series 5 and 7 are seen: as well as boxes from sets 8083 and 7595: and this creature which - I guess - is from a Creator set ? But I haven't yet found which one: ---------- In the old Australian series "A Country Practice", the 8860 "Car Chassis" Technic set is seen:
  4. The current 1x2x3 window with glass is probably cheaper and will look better. For CC like for GG,http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=60593 That window didn't exist back then, so they used other systems (panels for CC, train window for GG)
  5. Indeed, I measured it before seeing your post, and it should fit just right in the 49.5 space
  6. 2 = http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3298p19 3 = http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3933
  7. Congratulation to Jeroen for winning with that Lotus, it was my favourite entry :)
  8. The difference is subtle; do not forget that the movie is just a CGI rendition of Lego parts, for special ones like that they may differ a little
  9. isn't that http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=13565 ?
  10. I also never saw these in the stores around here.
  11. I had the same fence "issue" (which is not really one to me) with the Parisian Restaurant :
  12. Yes, they only say that will not renew it when it will end. They mention a long-term contract started in 2011... maybe it is a 10-year contract, they don't say
  13. Nice !
  14. The best info I have is this poll that we ran on the Lego thread of hardware.fr forum to know which modular building people bought: Last poll result is the generic one for those who won't/can't vote another, so the results can be considered as statistics of approximately 200 people (mostly French) owning at least one modular building. As seen there, the Palace Cinema is the most owned one. We could run the same kind of poll here on Eurobricks, if such multiple-choice poll is possible.
  15. Actually these could be found in Paris' Levallois Store in January 2013. Cf that pic I posted back then: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27795&st=775#entry1492246 Though that amongst these slopes, a lot were discoloured or at least badly coloured. I supposed it was a lot that went to the PaB because unusable in regular sets. edit: well actually those were dark pink, not magenta.
  16. medium azure 1x2 would be a first sight in PaB I think. Wasn't it medium blue as usual?
  17. I use a Philips Daylight bulb (not LED, just an old fashion lamp), compared to a classic bulb (or even CFL) with yellowish light it already helps a lot for the old grey vs bluish grey.
  18. 4. 1973 Renault 17 Features turning wheels (via the knob on the roof) and opening doors: Roughly 38x14 studs: More info, work-in-progress photos and reference pictures on the following thread: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=99564
  19. Thanks :) I published new photos in the first post. Unfortunately the light wasn't very good, but I am not sure I'll have time to make better photos before Friday.
  20. I added the seats which look like this on the real car : http://i56.servimg.c.../43/33/1111.jpg and modified a little the parts around the door opening I also modified slightly the hatch again, and re-did the angles of the C-pillar. At some point I wasn't sure if I was improving it or making it worse... but I think it is better now So I consider it now finished. I'll try to make better photos tomorrow with better light (sun is already coming down now) for the official entry in the contest thread...
  21. Bright orange is quite common in the EU PaB, but I've not yet seen dark orange there, so I guess it is the former one
  22. I received a Bricklink order with shorter slopes for the rear, I also replaced the trans-black window by trans-clear, and replaced the black hinges of the door by yellow ones : I also replaced the brick-built black triangle of the C-pillar by a dark-grey one (which is, on the real car, a silver grille in front of a window). As said previously, the roof and the hood are done, with the knob on the roof to turn the wheels, like a proper model team vehicle. But I still haven't done the interior; I just have to add seats, as the dashboard was already done. I'll maybe to that on Sunday. And for the final photos, I'll also try to do that with a better light, as the car looks better in real than on these photos I am making
  23. I found in a swap market a grey remote-controlled 12V switch point for 8 €; usually the price for the manual ones is already more than that. The seller was surprised when I asked him if it was in working condition (and it was working indeed). I bought a large lot of doors & windows on Ebay for something like 12 € : http://i.imgur.com/EZ7rl8P.jpg amongst there, two black 1x2x2 windows used only in old 12V trains, and so rather pricey on Bricklink (worth the whole lot).
