These were also used as weight for the 12V trains locomotives (and maybe 9V?) for a better grip on the rails.

Yes, it will work, but as he said the groove adds to the "texture" of the wall; it will look more "plain" with a regular 1x2.

Was it really due to heat? Not a production problem? In the Lego Store of Paris/Levallois in January 2013 there were such 1x2 magenta slopes available in the pick-a-brick wall. Many were quite discolored (turning to tan), but not all. When picking a few of these I tried to take only those that were still close to the original magenta. I thought back then that it was just a bad production lot, like they sometimes have color problems, and that they had put that lot in the pick-a-brick because it wasn't really useable for retail sets.

Possible. I actually meant recently, since they started to "unify" the inventory of PaB walls between all stores ;)
-
I hope some day I'll find these 2x2x2 slopes in a store; they seems new for PaB: I do not recall having seen these mentioned previously.

Yes, I know that some stuff is made ony in Denmark, but I was asking for the other way round: stuff made in Mexico isn't shipped to Europe to be mixed with what is made in Eastern Europe.
-
I thought that the Mexico factory was just for North-America market. Do they really transfer all the parts across the ocean just to store all in one warehouse?

It was one week ago, and last time I went in January they were already there too if I remember well, so I guess they will still have these. Only thing that may be out of stock is the horses, as the box was nearly empty and I didn't see a new one behind/above ready to replace it.

It is for the bamboo leaves. It is me who updated the inventory, I wasn't sure what was the right entry for that part. I also had problems for other parts not displaying : horses, 2x6 pink plates, 2x4 lavender & azure plates, 2x2 pink bricks ...
-
Thanks, though that at that price, + seeing the location vs shipping costs, I may continue to make these myself

I find that rather funny

I have several raaco cabinets (and a few of other brands) but I can't easily find the separators :/ I found a few once, but for more I had to make other ones myself by cutting a sheet of plastic.

You can see them by clicking the flickr link in his signature ;)

Thanks for the photo, I guess that with a little less (e.g. the 19 mentioned previously) one would even be able to correctly close the lit

Can someone make a photo of a cup filled with horses? My brother-in-law (who was with me when I went two days ago in the Lille store, and to whom I showed this photo) does not believe that one can stack all these horses in two cups (and there weren't many left when I was there, we didn't try to fill a cup with these even if it was just for testing purpose)
-
This is true, but they could put other large parts. For example in the Lille (France) store they put 4x4/4x6/2x8 plates there in addition of the 2x4 bricks.

I didn't count

The transparent door is http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=3644 + http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=3581 from one of the police sets: http://www.bricklink...colorID=12&in=A The 1x6 is http://www.bricklink...m.asp?P=3009p01 The yellow thing is http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=bb67 and was possibly from the same set as the blue 1x6

I updated the inventory for the Lille Shop on http://www.brickbuil...b/side/off/107/ The horses do not display on the page, same for the 2x4 azure & lavender plates, or the bamboo leaves. (contents of a large + a small cup) There weren't many horses left, I took only two, they take space and I am not sure what I would do with these

Indeed living in a modern boring building makes it easier to reproduce in Lego :D

Thanks :) I really should continue this MOC, I haven't worked on it since last update...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
antp replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Most likely yes: at least you would have something unique/personal. Modular Buildings in a Lego City are a little like Ikea furniture in an apartment: you find the same at everyone's home -
I'm getting cracks in the bows and holders
antp replied to Prince Manic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It could be useful to report it one way or another with photos, these are quite impressive. Maybe via an ambassador here on the forum ? -
If the horses are new this month, that inventory from a few weeks ago won't really be useful ;)

The shades of greys changed around 2002 or 2003, so those from the 80s/90s won't match the current ones. The current one is called called "light blueish grey" on Bricklink (opposed to just "light grey" for the old one). Lego calls the current one "medium stone".
