  1. oops, I missed that usually I read well all info posted
  2. nice interior details what's the part with the lines, used for the roof ? looks like something originally made for a crosswalk
  3. All mixed in two overfilling wooden boxes; I really have to organize that better :D
  4. I suppose it is best to wait for a comment from him requesting addresses...
  5. for de-yellowing parts, there are solutions: there is a huge thread about that here on eurobricks ;) edit: e.g. here for tests: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/7167-brick-de-yellowing-techniques/&do=findComment&comment=800639

    Bunch of cars

    Nice set of cars :)
  7. Here are two small scenes that I posted on Facebook: Merry Christmas... ... and Happy New Year The first one was also at the same time my participation in a Christmas challenge on the Lego thread of the hardware.fr forum
  8. Great work! When seeing this thread I directly remembered that other version, well done too :) I've a second copy of Palace Cinema bought for parts, but I plan doing something like that before putting the parts in my spare parts stock.
  9. Missing parts were from several different bags then? That's very weird, the usual problems are either a part missing, or a whole bag missing/replaced by another; but I wonder how it can happen to have randomly missing parts of different sizes from several bags... In my case out of hundreds of sets I never had a missing part; I thought once it was the case, but I found the part in a supposedly empty bag that I got back from the trash. However I once had a wrong part: I got a part not supposed to be in the set instead of one that was then missing. The missing one was common so I got it from my stock, and the unexpected one was still a nice to have. I could have reported that to Lego just for their quality control statistics, but I wasn't sure how to report it "just for info", as I didn't want to generate the useless sending of a common part by mail.
  10. Something with the German market being more competitive
  11. For Europe, they only announce the German price, so the other ones could always increase a little (they were already higher in other European countries on the site before it disappeared)
  12. Indeed, that one is a normal double-buy :)
  13. My record is 4916 x8 when they were discounted in a supermarket (at 1€!) several years ago :D 5550 x7 because I found these for cheap on Ebay in the last few years, I really like that model, and it was fun to make color variations 7998 x4 because I found a few for cheap back then (kept one without the trailer, the rest was for parts, still have to find a use of these big green containers) 3180 x3 for parts to make tanker wagons (kept one as truck) 4866 x2 just for dark purple parts Sometimes I buy a second of a bigger one like the Haunted House for sand green (and other useful grey parts) or the Town Hall for the dark orange when it was discounted on Amazon, as these parts weren't easy to find elsewhere (and I keep the first one of each because I like the set). On the subject "so nice you bought them twice", I would also mention the Maersk train: I really liked the set so I bought a second one just for having more cargo wagons (and the parts of the train engine were still useful for other uses).
  14. In best case Lego can reduce their price by at most 25% and stop making any profit at all (as they do 25% profit on their total income, cf the official results they publish yearly). In their current organization (where they're paying sales taxes, R&D, paying workers and employees correctly, paying licences, paying toy safety quality control, etc.) they can't align on the price of copies. But that's off-topic anyway.
  15. Some alternative roof tests made from comments received on another forum (and here above), that I forgot to post here, with red 45° slopes: with tiles on the 33° slopes: I still prefer my first version Maybe it would look good with dark red 45° slopes, but some required parts do not exist, and the roof is too high with such angle. The visible studs instead of tiles help to keep a Lego style for the whole set.
  16. Very nice! Lots of cool details Good idea to use long tiles for blinds. The glass of balconies look realistic; from what I see they are simple window glasses stuck in antenna/lever bases?
  17. For those who have these cups laying around, you don't re-use them when going back to the PaB wall? Doing such gives a (small) discount rather than taking each time a new cup edit: i see it is an old thread dug up ...
  18. It also disappeared of other European Lego sites, though that it was previously listed. Maybe it is just temporarily hidden then.
  19. Nice photos :) But a little sad to think that all these nice "rare" parts will end up in glued models :(
  20. Nice idea indeed :) I would do something like that too if I had a permanent city display
  21. These teasing pictures seem nice; especially since I saw today that I was amongst the lucky ones... wondering now what I'll win :) (hoping for the Catwoman or Stay Puft)
  22. Once of the most Or the Nazi soldiers from Indiana Jones sets...
  23. I only went there two or three times, one at the opening the contents was good, but the other time(s) it was indeed not very interesting. The PaB wall of Lille's store is usually much better ; even if a little further, it is just a little more than one hour. But I go there only if I have something to buy at French price (when they are 10 or 20 € cheaper), I don't go just for the PaB wall.
  24. wow, even better than last year, if I remember well
  25. You're either closer to the ring than me, or drive above limits, as it was taking me rather 40 minutes :D (from Jette, I already need 10 min to reach the ring) Still no sand green spotted in Europe indeed :(
