My christmas tree, with cats, aka "why I don't have a tree at home" :D

Nice work! (as usual, I'm tempted to say :D)

I recently finished a mod started some time ago on the Maersk cargo ship (10241) I find the 1x2 containers much more at the right scale than the 2x4 bricks of the original set. However it is quite tiresome to make, and uses a lot of parts (for non-visible parts, I cheated a little and used 2x4 bricks) In term of colors, there is a little of everything. I tried to use mostly realistic colors (light & dark grey, white, dark tan, dark orange, sand green, ...) but I also used a little of all what I had. Some old grey in addition to the bluish grey, as that could be found for cheap on Bricklink. There is even some of the old maersk blue (the ship uses the new color) and some rare things like dark turquoise.

The 150 series may also have a slight angle when fully opened, but it never bothered me. I only have this pic at hand to show what it looks like with a few drawers open: http://antp.be/priv/lego-r17/P1100639_1.JPG

In the same way, each time I go to the Lille store I leave on the site a positive command about the fact that their PaB wall has a good selection, to encourage them to continue that way :D

Nothing justifies such price difference :/ There is only 2% of difference in VAT So i'll spend 40€ in gas for Brussels<->Köln trip to save 50+20€ on this set + the new modular... -
The fenders are quite weird though. There are ways to make a flat hood better integrated: http://imgur.com/a/By7Bv

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
antp replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Well there are bank agencies a little everywhere; that's rather the bank headquarters that are in better parts of towns. Though that living in a capital (Brussels) may give me a biased vision of that, there are probably much more of everything here than in smaller towns :D -

Yes, he says he is not allowed to share the pics. Monday is not a long wait anyway :) -

It seems so: http://www.techlug.fr/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10238 (in French, but translatable via Google/Bing or similar I suppose) The set will be unveiled on Monday for sale already in January (so no GB HQ at that time, I suppose?) -
Interesting parts! I hope to find these on my next visit to Lille, probably only in January

If you can't sort by both type and colors, for rare colors it may still be useful to keep them together or else you may have difficult to locate the very few parts of [some rare color] in the middle of the black/red/yellow/blue/white parts. Except for parts where color is not important or irrelevant of course.

With previous prices the small one was slightly better if I remember well, but now it may be the opposite. The small one is maybe a little easier to fill efficiently though. To solve the dilemma I have one of each, and I fill both when I go to the store Well, the thing is that it is not _always_ the case... Sometimes when you check the price per litre or per kg you can be surprised.

I dig up my old topic which did not seem to have a lot of success as I now have uploaded the lxf file made in LDD, in case people are interested: http://antp.be/priv/lego-10232_repl_limousine.lxf

It is the Cafe Corner which used the same arch as the VW, as well as a Bionicle set of the same era: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=2339&colorID=63&in=A Market street used another arch, also used by the Cafe Corner and the Bionicle set (+ another) and the more recent Winter Village Market, but not the VW: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3308&colorID=63&in=A

That set had rather big parts in average, hence the big size. I suppose that here there wil be a lot of small parts. -
Impressive! These look great... As often with your MOCs it seems :)

I haven't yet finished organizing mine. Here are recent pics: http://antp.be/temp/lego/WP_20150719_12_21_09_Pro_1.jpg http://antp.be/temp/lego/WP_20150719_12_21_23_Pro_1.jpg http://antp.be/temp/lego/WP_20150719_12_21_40_Pro_1.jpg http://antp.be/temp/lego/WP_20150719_12_21_48_Pro_1.jpg The "tower" on the right of the desk has been moved to the left, the CRT monitor moved to the right, a TFT replacing it, the PC on the desk gone (replaced by one under). Now that the contents of the desk doesn't reach a big height, I have to add a shelf above the desk to store more things there :D I should reorganize all drawers to have a few of each parts (most useful ones) near the desk for easy reach, and all remaining/others either in the big drawers of the first pic, or in boxes elsewhere for those in larger quantities. But I'm afraid on how many hours that would take me for doing that :D

Great work! (sorry for bumping an old thread, but I thought I deserved it :D)

I was wondering the same thing. From the photos of sets using it (seeing how it is used) I would guess it works like a regular tile, but I haven't yet bought one in a BL order to verify that.

Nice use of the round panels for the staircase. Colors are nice too :)

They found it well done, but that seemed to less impress them (and friends) than the replica of apartment that I made :)

I updated the listing for Lille, the downsides of wall of bricks are: - not easy to change just the color of a part, you have to re-select the part - if you confirm a part already listed, the date isn't updated to mark it as recent inventory - uses Lego/Brickset names for parts & colors, and I know the Bricklink names :D
