The figure looks really good. i like those shoulder spikes with that torso and the dagger slung on the back. Though I always think the flowers look funny that way. Steve

Nice MOC. And the queen looks great. Steve

I have all of them (except the cinema, haven't gotten around to buying it yet), including the Market Street. If you are going to want to get them all (and you will once you put one together and see how cool it looks sitting on your shelf, and they only look cooler as you add more and more of them), I agree with everyone else: get the oldest first. If you are only going to get one, just pick one. You can't go wrong with any of them. They all have their own unique charms.Though, I think amazon had the town hall at 10% off, at least in the US. There should be pictoral reviews of all of them that you could peruse to help your decision. Steve

What is the trans-blue arm all about? Steve

The red cargo train is sold out, at least in the US. I ordered the yellow train for my first train. (And, yay, it shipped today). I'll let you know my thoughts with it in a few days/weeks. Steve

Thanks for the advice. I see now, that one is AA and one is AAA. Steve

I think both of those in my post are not rechargable AAA boxes, aren't they? There is a different rechargable one. Steve

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 poll
Athos replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think series 4 is one of the strongest. Musketeer, Viking, Hazmat Guy, Artist, Geisha, all great figures. I voted a little tired of the program. I still think $3 is pricey for the figures and my wallet takes such a hit when I pick up a complete set. Plus, it seems like I just managed to find one set and the next is coming out. Series 9 was very hard to find... It is hard to choose just one favorite too from this line too. I went with Boudicca, but the Revolutionary Soldier, Captain, Roman and Medusa were all great. This should be my last question about trains... It appears there are two battery boxes for sale on S@H. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-AAA-Battery-Box-88000 and http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-Battery-Box-8881 Which one is needed or is better for trains? Steve

Sing, O muse, of the rage of Achilles, son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achaeans. Great work. Is that Hector being dragged behind the chariot? Steve

If you want to run two trains, do you need to have to IR controllers? Or can you just set different channels for the different trains and run them all with one? Steve

Any thoughts on how easy it would be to modify it to run on power functions? Steve

Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!
Athos replied to Shadows's topic in Forum Information and Help
Its about time. I've been getting sick of having to explain why I was a member of eurobricks, when I live in America. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! Steve -
I've had this sitting around for several months now, waiting for a good time to post it. Can't think of a better time than Easter. My take on a faberge egg: Steve

I've used the baseplate for a troll village. I don't know why I left that first picture that is so sloppy... Steve -
Ah, putting the motor as a tender is a good idea that I haven't tried yet. Steve

Speaking of that. Has anyone messed around with the Ghost Train to motorize it? Got some instructions. I tried tonight, but I'm not familiar enough with train building to figure it out. Steve

She has a push train which she liked. But then we took her to a model train show and they had a electric train she could drive and there has been no looking back. She was a little skittish of the 9V train turn controller. So I think she'll like the IR controller better. I forgot about the Lone Ranger train. We have an old steam train that runs through town here, so I think the Lone Ranger steam train might be perfect. The motor was one of my questions about the Horizon Express. I asked her which one she liked best. She asked if they were steam, diesel or electric. And said "oooooh, I like that one" to each of them. Thanks for the help! Another question, though: AAA batteries or rechargable? Steve

Forgive me if this topic has been talked to death... but I recently pulled out my old 9V train and ran it around the tracks for my little girl (3 years old). She is super into trains and loved it. So I'm thinking about picking up one of the new IR trains for her (and I) to play with. That way, I don't have to worry about her wearing out or breaking my old one. So, I need some advice on which set to pick up. Currently, there seems to be three available. The Horizon Express (which was my initial thought), the Passenger Train (which looks pretty cool) and the Freight Train (which also looks quite cool). Which would you all recommend for an old time Lego fan, but a fairly new train head? I would probably purchase new track to go with it too. Steve

I don't know what part of Idaho you're from, but there is a fairly large LUG in Salt Lake City. You might want to check it out. They have a member from Nevada. And I'm thinking about traveling from Nevada to join too. Steve

I guess that's better than Pervy Hooded Head... I'd like to see how you attached the roof. Steve

Can anyone photoshop a transparent background on an image for me? I can't get GIMP to do it. Steve

Excellent. I just found your brickshelf gallery as well. I like your images of the collectable figures (particularly the musketeer). I've got to figure out how to make the background transparent so I can put it on a shirt other than white. How do you open an EPS file? Steve
