  1. Those are fine. here is a example of copied parts: 10130c01 28/1/2013 .dat 10130c01 (2) 28/1/2013 .dat 10130c01 (3) 28/1/2013 .dat The parts that have numbers surrounded by brackets are copied parts of the top one. Did you try to add the two types of file to all four dictionary like I listed above?
  2. Ok If you search for were you installed Ldraw: (C/program files/ldraw) with will see two folders named P and Parts if you open both of these and then both 48 and S (S is down the bottom of the page). Now if you insert both types of file in all four of these places (P,PARTS,48,S) and then open MLcad and click on 'scan parts',then retry to open the file with Lpub. While you are inserting the new files and you are getting a box that says that there is already the same part, and would you like to replace it? just over write it. Duplicate files will be shown like this: 24789(1) 24789(2) And so on...... Delete any of the duplicate files on all of the dictionary's. You can also search for duplicate files using a search box by entering the dat files.
  3. I am not a fan of the styling and the telescopic boom design. Its good that you have motorized it with drive and steering and that you have also motorized the arm.
  4. Your file works for me fine in Lpub. I would suggest trying the two potential problem solvers below. 1)Make sure you have not duplicated your dat parts in the Ldraw parts lists (check all dictionary's for both parts). 2)Try adding the dat parts to all of the dictionary's of Ldraw's parts lists.
  5. I really like these mods that you are doing to this set. Like you I prefair the bottom mod.
  6. Had lego not invented the plate back then? Since I see that you opted for a cardboard roof.
  7. I bought the the 42004 backhoe and 42006 Material Handler while I was in town today. For the price (18 uk pounds) the backhoe has allot of useful parts including a medium sized excavator bucket, mini turntable and lots of liftarms.
  8. What the heck is that....... Here is one from me.
  9. Well the good news is, it looks like a car..... .
  10. See if you made the middle pivot via a turntable that might help with the steering. Looks good so far.
  11. Congratulations on building the ultimate 8043 excavator. Too bad you forgot to buy AAA battery's.....
  12. Well I have just bought the loader from a member on eurobricks,I will be motorizing mine too. The difference between the two kits is that one uses worm gears to steer and the other one uses La's. ( I am building the La steering version)
  13. I am surprised mr-p did not spot my choice or maybe he was being sensible. (first time for every thing) I don't have that bigger problem with it,but there must be something as I have never bought it although I did have the chance.
  14. Mmm not for me,I have 3 mocs on the build table and I can settle down and finish building one, before I move to the next thing....
  15. 'Motorized city hauler' might be a better name then? I do have the hauler myself,it is now in many parts.....it does have some good parts in it,But as you say the model was not very advanced.
  16. Are you wanting to trade it for any thing in return?
  17. I am not a huge fan of the 8868 crane although it has good parts this does not make up for the poor design and functionally of the model.
  18. The bigger original bucket dose not have the best movement range, the smaller one has better movement. Also you have a Pm.
  19. Ah...well I don't have that bigger collection to send two, three four copys of the 8043. I had offered to help you make a red version of jurgens excavator, but you said that you did not need the help.
