Telehandler
Alasdair Ryan replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Most telehandler's have swivel suspension only on the front axle. -
Can you tell me the total valve of those orange parts,so I can make the same valve of my parts. Liftarms be ok? I have some connectors and tires,I will see what else I can find.
-
Ok so is there any thing in particular you would like that matches the total of the bricks ?

LPub not showing my main assembly
Alasdair Ryan replied to Hedgie's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I have just conducted a quick test, and loading files models with sub parts works fine for me The main think is that you got it working. Here is a test file with a sub part added into it. I also made one with buffer exchange in the file. -

I would uninstall and then reinstall Mlcad and Lpub and try to open your files then. -
Telehandler

Here is the idea I came up with some time ago. -
I don't think you would get a lot of backlash because its well braced. You could always brace a worm gear to each side of the turntable ,but would would have to make sure it is well build.

Why did you not mount this at the top end of the static part of the boom? This would give you a more realistic solution. -

I started in Mlcad and then moved to SR3D then to LDD. Now I can use any of them....... -
Could you copy the 8043 slew drive and then convert it into a horizontal drive shaft and then gear it down to the motor?

Technic Ideas Book 8891
Alasdair Ryan replied to Chilly's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yeb I know but you need to star some were,LDD is not very good for technic models because of it's lack of parts. Also there is bands and cables that she might want to generate which cant be done in LDD yet. -

I would recommend using Mlcad and the free version of SR3D. -
LPub not showing my main assembly

Yes I can see your pick-up fine. If you search for were you installed Ldraw and then open that folder: (C/program files/ldraw) with will see two folders named P and Parts if you open both of these and then both 48 and S (S is down the bottom of the page)while doing so place each of the files you are having trouble viewing in each folder. After that open MLcad and click on 'scan parts',then retry to open the file with Lpub. -
